Holy crap. They did a Gr.2 daily at Willow? Sounds scary. :scared:

The way the drivers are these days, yes. But it sounds like it would be fun to try in a lobby. :p

I just did a couple of races on Maggiore. I have to go and take a shower now. I feel so violated!

That bad huh? Makes me rethink my plan to rebuild SR there.

I got something for you.

Well, I'm more confused. To paraphrase comedian Gallagher, "It doesn't matter if you're Metric or Imperial. Good, pick one!"

I did one race B at 22:50 in the RS01, which is surprisingly fast around here. Started from pole with the #8 time on the board, the 56.204 from earlier, and was doing very well until lap 3, where I came extremely close to bottling it. P2 got back into the slipstream and pressured me for the remainder of the race, but I held on to win by 3 tenths.

Up next was the 23:10 race, which Super GT was also entering. Unfortunately, the servers did not want me to stream snipe him, so they killed the whole lobby  Thankfully I didn't lose any DR because I had nobody to lose to, but my SR is now 94, which broke the 99 SR streak I had going since the end of June :(

After that I decided against doing any more races, because I didn't want to risk another DC (what's with me, Maggiore and DCs? ). I did TT instead, in the RS01 rather than the R8, and was able to break into the 55s with a 55.978 and climb to #6 on the board :D This is the lap. Love the Scandinavian flick in sector 3 :dopey:

@Bivittavus88 request accepted ;)

Edit: BB -3.

I think this is a bad week for building your SR.
Race A: Punt City at turn 1
Race B: Destruction Derby awaits
Race C: Your own car will turn against you and yeet throw your SR down a cliff.

Ahh, hadn't noticed the cumulative loss there. Sad thing is with some people deliberately farming SR in a race C just to be savage elsewhere it probably wouldn't even be a record

I just went and looked through the available records and saw my worst SR day was June 22nd of 2018.
I entered 12 races, and had a cumulative SR result of -92 for the day.
Worst single race that day was -58. Gr.4/Lemans race C.
I don't even vaguely recall it. I must have been pretty ripped.

Edit: Looking more closely, I see that someone managed -186 in a single race.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: It was Gr.1 at Lago Maggiore.

*Someone also had a gain of 124 in a Gr.4 Tsukuba race.

The record goes to Monza, 190 SR lost in a single GR.4 race.

Monza, where everyone's SR goes to die.

Tsukabe indeed holds the record for biggest single gain. That must have been a clean race C in SR.E with the multiplier.

Dear God how? I must be some sort of mutant because the last time I ran monza I was building up SR! DR all over the place and no clean race bonuses but I was blue nearly every race. I would have rather had that than autopolis though. This race last time was an exercise in ultimate tire preservation.

Edit: is that sort of thing still available somewhere and I don't know or is this no longer available?

Autopolis hasn't been enjoyable since June.

I really really really don't like Autopolis. Driving on this track is like having to do a really difficult test, because the teacher who assigned it feels like being a jerk. I am also weak with Gr. 2 cars, so this combination is a nightmare for me. It took me 3 hours this morning to get the time I wanted. During the race, my car decided to tell me "🤬 you" and started to understeer like crazy.

I also have a stupid theory for why we got this week's combinations: due to the cheating at Spa last week, the person who makes these daily races is punishing us by giving us recycled Daily Races that also happen to feel like eternal punishment.

I guess you were lucky, Monza isn't a track renown for recovering SR. I get SR down for sneezing there.

I hate being on pole! Gives me performance anxiety.

I feel you're not alone on this. It's rare I'm starting pole when I decide to qualify but give me 2nd or 3rd every time. Doesn't feel like I got a "Punt me!" note on my bumper that way.

It was one of the hardest daily C to get all CRB with all GR.3 cars, but I managed! It took well over a hundred races that week with a largest streak of 4 in a row. I even managed a clean victory in the McLaren BMW and F-Type from last.

I didn't manage that feat at Tokyo rain. Two streaks of 3 clean races at the end of the week was the best I could manage. Monza in the rain will be the one to beat!

I don't doubt it's possible to have clean races there. It's just that if I were to choose a track to build SR with, Monza would be way down my list.

My experience was also a bit different. I started midpack most races instead of from the back where you're likely to avoid all T1 chicane chaos.

I am still salty over this morning's race. Morton wants to sponsor me now.

Yeah Monza is one of the reasons I abandoned qualifying  It is one of those wait for lap 2 to start racing.

The no chicane version is no better as it simply moves the problem to the second chicane with the cars going faster and closer together.

Only time for one race tonight. Not a bad result. The win would have been nice, and I was slowly catching the leader from the end of lap 8, onwards. But, I spent a little too much time battling an NSX in the early laps. Ended up finishing 4 seconds behind.

On a brighter note, race pace is a second or so faster than last time we had this combo.
