It's not so dirty in Asia as in the Americas (I have a US alt, I've seen it), but I've just got back into DR A/B races after a month or more in C and they're quite a bit more ..... motivated.

My best 2 alternatives for this are: A) avoid the game on the weekends, B) use the alt account. The alt is at C/A DR/SR, while the main is now at B/S. I gotta keep that main account up there. I can't have a week like RBR Gr. 4 gave me a few weeks ago.

As an edit anyone got anything to help my 🤬 memory? My eyes have been 🤬 for years.

I was going to give you an answer, but Ben beat me to it.

There are 2 reasons the cone wasn't visible in the saved replay :
- You didn't put it there.
- Moveable objects ( cones, pylons, tires, etc. ) that get moved are calculated in real time during the replay.

That second reason is what I have noticed when going back 10 seconds to see some hilarious replays. The cones/etc. would reappear when you exit out & start the replay again. But backing up 10, 20, 30 seconds, those things disappear, but the action that the car takes still occurs.

I have done race b so many times. Its almost impossible to get positive sr there. I cant believe how hard it is to get 1 goddamn race in this game where somebody can actually take their line through the corner and not give me an sr down. How do you base a rating that indicates how clean YOU race on a formula that lets OTHER PEOPLE driving like idiots dictate whether it goes up or down . Most of my sr loss this week isnt even my fault. Anytime i get breathed on its an sr down. Killing the game for me right now tbh. i cant get my sr back up racing clean because they still find a way to tap your car with all the space in the world.

Heh... wasn't diggin' on you so much as the fella in the gray car with the advice to "Relax" who casually moves left.
That is exactly what you do NOT do into the first turn at Tsukuba - move to the outside and relax.
And also the fact that I haven't heard you talk at all about this week's Daily A. ;)

Yeah, I’ve been obsessed with c race this week. I didn’t even try A until @Pigems lobby where I realized the car drives GREAT.
I’ve never driven that particular one, but it drives like a dream for sure.
I love Tsukuba in cars like that, the first online race I ever did was there, c race with the little blue Alpine in a one make. Instantly hooked on the online game.
I have been a little out of the loop on most of the a race combos lately. :).

Cheers

Sketchy ice storm today. The power just came back on after a 2 hour outage, who knows for how long... Of course it failed right after the start of a race, doesn't look like I'll be recovering SR today either. Better race while I can, in 20 minutes...

Todays WRS race is the ‘98 Civic Hatchback at Brands Indy for 47 laps, but I’m gonna take a guess and say that one won’t tickle your fancy too much. :)

idk where you are but its snowing sideways here in southern ontario right now lol. hoping the wind doesnt get my power too.

@BenRod and @NoStopN I knew the cones were erratic and vanished on replays. Found that while trying to chase down a jump I did in a Super Formula at autopolis. Thanks for the help though, didn't know they got that out of whack. My complaint was drunk self couldn't spot the cone off the line lying down when I was watching the captured video instead of the replay. Oh well.

On another note, did they tweak the Suzuki swift to run at the nord previously as n200 or was that just an n100?

I'll pass. Make it 47 laps on N24 in GR.C and I'm game!

I'm between Hamilton and London. We're getting some snow, then freezing drizzle again, then more freezing drizzle over night then snow again and -3 in the morning. Chances of getting the kids to school tomorrow are looking slim.

Here's one from several months ago, where a cone that you can't see in the replay killed my race.
Hey, there's @BenRod! :)

All I'm gonna say is this. On corners, the non hybrids are like racing against street cars when against hybrids.
Being stuck behind one on the chicanes is like the most frustrating thing ever. You lose like a second. I know sportsmanship and all that. But man, those cars have no business racing with modern hybrids. Some heavy bop and fuel tuning from PD is needed.

This was earlier this week. So now you have tried both sides of the problem.

My suggestion is to just adapt. It's very common for endurance racing to span several classes and this is one version of that. Adapt, overcome, race on :)

Edit: moderator, I am sorry for double post. Really trying to avoid that.

if PD can give us FWD Gr.4 every 2 weeks maybe they could try giving us a Group C Race. they can clearly limit car choice within a category so why not? 5 cars is more than enough to choose from. kind of annoying to think about really. so many more creative races they could put up if they just put any effort in at all.

I'm getting better at dealing with weekend racers. I quit rather than ranting and punting. Nothing dirty, just more aggression than skill and I was last with a two second gap on the final lap anyway.

I sort of get where they're coming from actually. A lot of them only get weekends to race and they want to make the most of it.

My default hours of play are the best. I work one weekend out of two, the other one is familly time of course. My shifts are 12hrs wich gives me 2 week days off home alone and that's where my racing occurs. Evening time is also familly time so no dirty hours of play for me. Working days starts at 11:00 so I have time for a couple of race in the morning and I avoid peak traffic hours getting to work.

If I happened to have time to play on weekend or on the evening, I choose another game, mostly Rocket League.

I still get some bad race but only on rare occasion. Reading stuff here is scary sometimes and it would kill the game for me too.

Yeah, creativity is what is lacking in daily.

Cheers :gtpflag:

Something ive recently noticed is people flashing you in braking zones. Im not just gonna let you through because you flash your lights at me. How about getting close enough to even try a pass? One guy was flashing me for the whole of the first lap of le mans before dropping back.

Well. Started the week doing 3.29s. Managed to bring it down to 20.3xx. With an optimal good enough for a top ten. But I've been playing all say. Gotta get some sleep, working tonight. I'm tired so I do t think I'll be getting that perfect lap today. It was fun.
Next time should probably make it group c only though. Or Nerf the Toyota. Car can pull a fastest lap on lap 5 LMAO.

Now, PD. Where's that Super Formula daily? Me needs it!

flash·er (noun) a person, especially a man, who exposes his genitals in public.

Basically the same. The flasher thinks they're so edgy. Everyone else just looks away. :yuck:

I suspect you both are wrong. Default flash is on left analogue stick and if you use it very hard you flash involuntary. So the flashing is simply a tell that the driver is having an adrenaline rush and are feeling stressed.

Race C... started 7th, finished 3rd... no penalties... podium screen on... network got disconnected. Lost 1000 DR and got SR down to 70 🤬:banghead:

Noticed that in some races too! Sometimes, or most of times, the car behind is not even in a position to pass and they keep flashing their lights as if I am just park and let them through!

Maybe some. The flash patterns are different. 1 or 2 flashes may be by accident. If someone is flashing for the entire lap, that's not by accident. :D

I've had zero time (or motivation) to play much this week.

I've never done much with the Alpine Gr.1 car but see people posting 3:18s. Can someone using a DS4 post up a tidy lap please? I'm still doing 3:23s. Can't begin to understand how to replicate the ghost lap.
