So, for the last hour, I've been trying the handbrake trick at Spa. The level of difficulty is high.
I can certainly see how it helps. I can gain a couple tenths at turn 1 when I get it right.
Last turn too, but it seems more difficult at the last turn.
Why not just change the brake balance for turn 1 and then change it back?
Personally, even though I get that you'll turn more, I find that the downside to more rear braking (as in the hand brake) is that the rears get hot, lose grip, and reduce acceleration out of the corner.
