Edit: my ghost option then turned itself off, and then i reload a ghost, set option to on and get my ghost back.
I don't see ghost car in qualification mode (time attack of the dailies), neither mine or one that i tried to load from top players. It is set to "on" in the quick menu with no time offset.
Are someone else affected?

Sometimes the ghost(s) don’t show up until lap 2 for some reason. :)

They’ve also been pretty buggy for me. My personal ghost will just turn itself on sometimes. Then backing out and going to the settings shows both loaded and personal set to off, or sometimes both set to on.

I dunno, some spooky ghost stuff happening.

I've found that I loose my ghost when my replays are full. I go delete a few things and the ghost comes back.

Damn, this thread moves fast! I can't keep up!. I did race a couple of races last night. I think I won one, but I couldn't tell you where...(memory is shot!) I did race all three dailies. I got a second in the C race driving the R8, even with a spin. Once I was 4 laps in, it was lonely. The leader had about 6 seconds on me at that point, and I was about 7 seconds clear of 3rd. I spun on L8 trying to see if I could get the fastest lap from the leader (stupid on L8). Too much curb. In race B I did one lap...too tail happy stock, so I noticed the car was tail high, so I leveled it out and dropped the gearing down...much better. Oh, and since I like the race C combo, I decided to race from the back on my alt account...screwed up again and went over the line (memory is shot...did I say that before?) So I started 5th, but should have been 2nd or 3rd with the speed I had, which might explain the P2 finish. I guess if I want to work traffic it will have to be in the A race. See you out there (in my mirror, hopefully!)
 
It's way easier to straighten out the corkscrew in the new Volkswagen. :lol:

Actually, I don't think so. When I try this move with the penalties turned on, I get hammered with red numbers. đź‘Ť
However, I believe there will be plenty of punting at the corkscrew braking zone. :ouch:

I haven't really found any exploits. I always try everything I can think of when we get new tracks, but this one seems pretty solid.
Someone else may figure out a trick, though.

Who’s up for some Laguna Seca tonight? I’ll be opening a lobby shortly that will be All Laguna Seca, All Night! One make sprint races with reverse grid based on previous results, Winner chooses the next car(and gets to start last in it :lol: ). I’ll be streaming the races as well, so come on out for some clean racing!! Room will be open shortly. :cheers:

Thanks @Pigems and everyone else who was on the lobby, had a blast with these races, the reverse grid plus changing cars made things more leveled, and it was quite clean considering we had no practice, just a lap or two on the warm-up. I apologize for any bumps, and i miiight have cut the corkscrew a few too many times before realizing penalties were turned off :D but it was all good fun. Laguna Seca makes for some great racing, that's for sure, and i'm glad it's back :cheers:

Sorry I missed Laguna. I just finished the update about 1/2 hour ago.

Tried out @praiano63 's tune and did a 1:01 flat, tweeked a couple of things and did a 1:00.3. I might be able to break a minute with this tune, but I think a few more tweeks are in order. I know a couple (okay, a few...) people on here that could make the top 10 with this as it stands, I bet. I can't believe I let myself get sucked into tuning, but I'll probably play with this some for the rest of the week. Gonna try it in a race now...

Edit: Well, that was hardly sporting. SR-B room, Mostly DR-B. I had pole by 1.25 seconds. 2 star win with FL of 1:00.799 and 12 seconds on P2. Lost CRB on the last lap by clipping the inside "wall" on the final corner. The car is very drivable, and drives off the corners well. I think I'll try to improve mid corner speed next time I play with the suspention.

For any who want to try it, Start with praiano63's tune, drop the rear springs (NF) to 2.80, the front bar to 8 and the rear bar to 5. That's it. Let me know how it works for you.

I know I am the oddball of the group but I was doing ok with the citroen GT. Did reasonably well qualifying with the lexus but ate up the tires in the race. Seeing a few do well in the AMG and the WRX.

Clarify, my doing well means holding 1:49 or low 1:50 for the whole race, minus any 🤬 ups

I can say to be wary of the citroen, it drives. . . . Odd. But it seems to be nearly impervious to tire wear once you get the style right, and you can upshift pretty much whenever and don't lose power.
 
I've had decent success with the RCZ in race C. Best qualifying time was 1:47.6xx. Managed P2 after getting punted from P1 on the last race. Tire wear was surprisingly manageable, no real drop off until late on lap 8. I tried the AMG and Mustang with no success, I ruined the tires by lap 7.
 
So my personal tuning experiment has ended. I was able to get a lap 3 tenths faster than my best stock lap.
That’s with me trying to tune.
After trying to get the car doing what I wanted the stock tune is so so so nice to drive..
Consistent low mid 101 at tcs 3 all day.
Tomorrow I will try a professional tune and see what I think.
The car stock drives nicely, it’s predictable and balanced. Probably the only reason I beat the time I just ran stock with my tune is number of laps.
My tune ended up a little low stiff and overdamped. I dunno. Never done it before don’t have any system to apply.
So far I still don’t much like tuning.

Good morning everybody! Yesterday I didnt do any races beacause friend asked me to pick him from train station, and then go for a beer or two, so have time only for doing Laguna on gold:) Also tried NSX and R8 on Autopolis in Quali, but I cant drive these cars, times were not even close to my best... Nsx was 1,47.5xx and R8 1,47.3xx, I dont know how people doing 1,45 in audi, Im weak:)
