Well, I tried the Atenza on alt for b race qual. It’s a pretty awesome car, times real consistent, no crashes.
I ran on main I think 32.2 and on alt 32.0. Didn’t fin a 31, and done looking haha. Tcs 3 bb0 abs default.
Used the 911 on main, since I never do...Wiped out a few times, Every once in a while you can kiss the curb with outside rear in that thing and it’ll bite ya even at tcs 3...That car is a scalpel, but it’s like using a scalpel with your hands covered in motor oil.
Anyways good luck this week all.
Off to Finland and a crazy rally!

Hopefully race B is more fun with 5 laps.

It was 5 laps last time with Gr.3 @ Interlagos. From memory, average lap time is 1:32 - 35 x 5 = 7.75 - 8 mins so still effectively a sprint race.

It might be the Toyota again but Race A is a lot of fun using the South Inner layout. I hope it can hold my interest the rest of this week. Race B is overbaked and C is on one of the most boring and uninspiring tracks in this game.

So glad that they made the hard tyre mandatory for race C this week and also banned running mixed tyres. Makes this race so much more interesting.

Got stuck into some racing this morn and had some great racing. Tried various strategys with the one stop sometimes starting with hards others on meds. Also seen a few drivers try 2 stopping and pick up top 5's as well.

For 3 of the races a certain Igor fraga was doing last to first challenges. He finished 1st in each one but got a 20s pen in first 2 due to not running hard tyres lol He finally sorted that out in the 3rd race, beating me in 2nd by 13 seconds and setting a 1.30.4 as fastest lap. Insane pace. Finishing time was a 20.12 which matches the best iv seen by some very handy drivers starting in the top 3!!!

Whoops, thought it was 3 laps before.

Insane. Really puts into perspective the difference between top 0.1% and the top 0.01%. Like the leaderboards of last week. In the Americas region Igor and Angel were 6 tenths and 5 tenths ahead of 3rd place respectively. That's an unreal gap at the top.

Yup just like the Suzuka Manufacturers leaderboard atm (car dependent but still)

Last week thought me that although I do love a challenge, there's a limit to it...
And Laguna was too much for me.. I don't like not having run off areas anywhere, I do love long straights with "easy" overtaking possibilities, I don't mind "uninspiring and bland" corners with clear visibility..
I'd probably love if Yas Marina was added...

I thought I was making progress with my overall skill, but I'm clearly not worthy of an A DR..
My goal was to consistently hit 1:24 for 8 laps at which point I'd drop to 1:25 because I can't keep tyres alive...
I was doing that... But I was still losing time to everyone... My best finish was 15th...
My Qualy time was a 1:22.7xx so I'd start a race mostly between 8th and 12th the IMMEDIATELY lose 1 or 2 positions at turn 1 due to my horrible line through there that I was never able to improve...
Last week was the biggest of my entire GT Sport 2 years of playing on and off...

It's probably a good thing we don't have an audio chat during daily races, where players can talk and listen to the other players.
I would get banned/suspended constantly for the words that compulsively fly out of my mouth during Sport Mode races. :O
I knew a guy whose wife made him play in the garage, because she didn't want the kids to hear what he was saying when he played.:lol::lol:

I had so many fun races at Laguna last week that now I’m just spamming the daily race thread with my clips. I’m also one of many who aren’t too excited about this weeks races so I think I’ll just keep living in the past for a bit.

Here’s a pretty exciting first 4 laps of one race where I gained 11 positions through overtakes and attrition...mostly attrition ;)

Below is a full race no-qualy win that took place in an SR-A lobby. Shame shame I know, but it’s not easy to avoid the chaos in sub-91 lobbies. This one was not really about pace, but avoidance is key. Had a fun time trying to avoid the lag punt as well. Subscribe if you like this type of content!

Yeah, one of the reasons I usually only play when kids are asleep or not home. Wife finds it isn't 'relaxing' in the evening listening to me vent on screwing up or getting screwed over.

She did comment last night on how far ahead I was when I was running a practice lobby all on my own, so I got that going for me.

Word. How awfully disappointing.

I put together a post where I put out my hopes for a multiplayer campaign. I'm tell ya, it's the way to go.

Race A - beginner league, Race B - Amateur league, Race C Pro league + Endurance.

Vary the available events, and mix up the tracks within an event. That should keep things interesting for a long time.
