This week has been a disaster for my DR! In the last week, I've lost close to 5,000 DR!

I really like Maggiore! I think it's one of the best and most realistic fictional tracks PD has ever made. I, however, can't seem to get a GR3 car around this track any faster than a 1:59.6. That's if I'm hitting every apex just right and carrying momentum correctly throughout the entire lap. If not? 2:01... I can run 2:01s around this track like a Swiss watch in the races. I do drive with TC set at 2 for most GR3 cars I drive. Depending on the car, it can bog down pretty bad coming out of the chicane going under the bridge. TC 1 or 0 and I'm spinning. I do have a wheel/pedal but just can't get my inputs on the throttle as precise as it needs to be to turn TC down or off. I need to "get gud" in that department. It's never hindered me on any track anywhere near as bad as it has on this track. Ugh!

With a qually time of 1:59.6xx, I'm starting near the rear. 12th, 13th'ish in all the races I've run this week. I've had good runs. I can gain a spot or two every race I run because of people making errors in front of me. Overall I'm really not fast this week. Every race, I lose about a hundred DR. That's a race that I run decent... Gaining 3 or 4 spots. Slip up and come in close to the end of the pack and DR down 200 to 300. I literally have not gained a single point this week.

It's been a very busy week in real life. Haven't had as much time for GTS as I'd like. When I do have time, I'm not super focused. I'll get this weekend to zone out with GT6. Get a proper qually and have some races I can really focus on. We'll see if my DR can go up a bit.

I'm trying to tell myself to stop paying attention to DR. It's hard though... :banghead: I'm competitive when it comes to racing and I want to have the good numbers to justify my efforts but paying attention to it gives me stress. :boggled: The DR system in GTS is a pile of hot garbage though. Needs a complete and thorough overhaul!

Happy racing guys! See ya out there.

Well that guy finaly disappeared from our group. Had a few great races with respected friends before having to get ready for work. Hope i can get good racing like that if i decide to run tonight....

Got a lap replay you can share? I bet there are a few spots where you could carry a lot more speed. I'm new with the wheel, and try each week to run with TCS @ 0 and give up eventually. I would literally nearly spin out or spin out every T2 exit at Maggiore with TCS off, so I turned it back to 2 and my lap times went down dramatically.

Anyways, I watch @Mistah_MCA 's videos every week, and at the very least, he helps me on one or two corners every track, and I usually gain a second or 2 off the times I run on my own.

Here's his one for Race B this week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3kwyKZczko&t

I spent my week on Race C starting from the back and manage couples of good races. Some races were filled with lots of friends and I didn't screw anyone up!

I also had to deal with the worst dirtiest driver ever, just take a look!

Also played the survivor game

Some people are such in a hurry they take caroussel like madman. @Sven Jurgens @GOTMAXPOWER

This morning I set up a quali time of 7:57.8 and got two pole but the dirty driver from the clip above was there also.

Sorry I don't.

I know my line through some of the corners aren't right. Need to study some videos for sure. That TC issue I have coming out of the chicane is my biggest issue. Every car I use bogs down. Even my trusty Corvette that has never given me issues with TC bogging the car down, is bad through that part of the track because of TC. I used the 911 RSR for one of the races last night and it was the best car for me overall but still had TC issues. Just coming out of the chicane through the paved area (that's part of the short track) on the outside, under the bridge and the right uphill to the straight. I lose a few tenths per lap in just that section alone.

Just gotta get gud...

Have you tried it at Dragon Trail? If so is it any good?
Yes. 3 laps each. I don't use the Huracan, but I quickly see its strengths. Seems weaker than the Supra under braking. Where I can go deep in the braking zone with the Supra. Huracan is more stable everywhere, but the Supra has tighter turning at the first esses, first hairpin, bottom hill hairpin and the final turn. It makes up for the Huracan AWD acceleration and high end speed. I'll try the usual suspects later,
EN8XSPPUUAApMD8

Supra: At DTS, navigating through the CoD is easy. Hair width lift of the trigger, gives more turn in than brakes(this car turns tight with that short wheelbase).
The car is good here. It'll be more about what individual players want. It doesn't have the outright speed like the British Bulldogs, Huracan, RC F. I'm still finding out how it fairs at different tracks versus humans.

It's been me and maybe one other person in my races(last FIA Nations at Spa, Daily Races with Friends) that have been using it. One of the many reasons I love using it.

Nice laps! I tried the Supra there last night too and got the same time with it. It turns really well but lacks a bit on the top end I think. I got both the Lambo and the Jag down to a 46.3. With Slipstream the Supra should be really good in the race though. :)

Looks like you had a few easy wins. I only managed a high of 5th from starting last.

I was fodder for others testing the new penalty system on Race B this morning. Smacked into the wall at T1, absolutely no penalty to anyone, and all had blue S at the end. Edged out into the big dipper right hander, again no penalties. But, I did get a few CRB's.

I wish I could bring myself to race dirty!!!
I hear you, yesterday doing some group B races and I slowed down not to hit the car in front, the driver should have been hitting the gas but wasn't, got passed by a bunch of cars in the process, finished horribly and DR plummeted. but finished with a clean race. I think the DR rating should take clean races in consideration, maybe a limit how far the DR can fall,

Tried Lago.

Got punted on lap 2 at the high bank by a regular player that came from way back. This person knew full well that there would be no penalty.

I returned the favour and left.

I'll wait for a fix (hopefully) before I play any more Sport Mode.

problem i'm seeing since yesterday is that even the cleanest drivers are getting pissed at those dirty drivers and are starting to retaliate , knowing that there would be no consequences

Jumped on for a quick Race C the other night. Set a 7:58 quali on lap 2 and started on pole with the exact same time as P2. So I knew I had a intense race ahead of me. I got lucky and established a 4sec gap early and held it till the end. Knew I needed the gap for the straight and lucked out because once I gained the 4sec gap it never fluctuated by more than a second, we sat at 3-4sec for both laps.

Got myself win #100 as icing on the cake lol.

Was is Mark Twain who said never argue with an idiot? They will only bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. Sums up the penalty system right about now.

Precisely

Or, you can do what I just did. :D

I've never been one for alt accounts. It's not about my ranking, it's about the expectation in the race.

Having someone goon their way past me isn't fun and I don't want to play that way. I'd rather play single player :p

It's been good fun racing this week, there has been a group of us starting from the back (most from GTP) not caring about results but having a really good time fighting each other as we go through the pack.

Today again only in Daily Race B.
In my first race, I believe I got the ABS bug/glitch... Only slight, but still made a difference. Started P6, ended in P9 or something like that.
2nd race, I ****ed up. Wanted to bypass that glitch by turning ABS off, go in warmup, return and turn ABS on and then warmup again. However I was too late and had to race without ABS. Boy what a mess. Started P6 again, ended up around P10.
Third time lucky, started P9 and ended up P6, that was my first real race.
Next race I got a slightly less competitive lobby in terms of qualy time and started P1. Luckily P2 spun out early, creating a gap to the cars behind so I had no one in slipstream and easy P1.
Then the next race, again starting P1. Led until lap 4. And then he came.
I messed up coming to the long straight and he almost passed me into the hairpin. I won't explain more, feel free to judge for yourself.

Just as a hint: The lap before he was braking where the shadows of the trees started.....
I should have known. I knew it was gonna happen after the hairpin.

Thought I got a 5 sec pen for hitting wall, so let everyman & his dog thro, had a proper look & it was 0.5 sec pen :banghead:
Pretty clean racing around the Ring tonight 👍

So I finally got my remote play setup at work and tried to run a few laps. That was interesting but I got my daily bonus car. I suppose I'm missing something big on the race B qualifying. I put down a 1:58.0 with the Supra which took forever. I actually like to race it a bunch but I'm missing some serious time in the first sector (upper 32 sec). I bought the Vette and ran a 1:57.7xx by the 5th lap. Those last few corners at the end of the lap I'm losing a significant amount too. But I've managed to create some liveries while work is slow.
