Race B should be my jam again this week. Although the lobby I joined earlier was mostly all Megane Trophies which I wasn't quite keen on, I think there were only 3 of us using something different  I went out in the Lexus as I'm not fast around here yet so it didn't really matter.

For now though it's nice to see a lone Alfa in the EMEA top 10 ranking! Had a quick go in it and could make it work. Will see how this week goes :)

Well had time for one race only and had no issues with tires with the Mazda, but midrace realized that fuel needed to be managed as I was one lap off the target. So it seems to be a factor for this race, but I don't have the time to see which would be faster with proper management or pitting.
I leave it on fuel setting one and just short-shift occasionally in the 911 and it's no trouble to manage at all. I leave the OSD on fuel mode unless someone is within a couple seconds behind me and actively gaining time, then I switch to radar. Just make sure you're starting each lap with the amount left matching the number of remaining laps, it's pretty easy to manage this week.

Once again my awful fuel consumption has come to the fore in Race C. I have to race to a number or I'll be forced to pit. It's extremely annoying to see someone set a fastest lap in the 2:36's whilst I'm stuck in the 2:42's. If I got into the 2:41's, I'd end up using too much fuel. There's no way that I can win the race when drivers are somehow extracting 7 laps from a tank at a much faster average speed. That's why I hate these fuel races. Yes, I could try using manual gears but I'm not used to it and last time I tried doing so, I did really badly. Getting a better qualifying lap would help.

Not a bad haul for tonight, should be up into DR B after the next race. Things got a little rough at times tonight, but race A is pretty fun! :)

Just make sure to cover your tail in the two hard braking zones, or you will get punted.

Wow Race B is a demolition derby of Megans and 4C's. I put in a qualifying time of 1:30.8 with the Mustang. Optimal is a 1:30.4 so I can get a little more out of it.

First race, I started off giving a guy space just to have him try and knock me off twice in the same curve. Started 7th and finished 7th, not bad for a guy taking me out on his way back to the track. Next race I learned my lesson, my car weighs more and to hold my line. Started 7th and made it up to 5th. The front group walked away from the mid field mayhem, they were out of reach by lap 4.

I'm about to take another run at Brands Hatch with the Mustang. It's surprisingly fast here!

Spent the evening trying to find a car other than the Audi for race C, but all I’ve succeeded in doing is changing all my Gr 3 cars to wets which I’ll only remember when I next race them on a dry track and wonder why everyone is sailing past me.

Liked the RCZ, but stuck with the R8 for a race and surprised that i could handle ok given I normally find it a nightmare in tire wear races. Race C is also pretty clean - maybe all 3 dailies should be wet weather next week!

Any thoughts on when they’ll update the penalty system? I’m turning a bit vindictive, haha. Like...sure, dive bomb and side swipe me, but be damn sure to get me off the track before the next hard braking zone because me letting you by isn’t a sign of weakness.

Race A might be my hangout for the week because I don’t always have time to run C, although it is kind of fun figuring out the grip. For a change of pace after, I ran the SF19 on RSS after (dry track obviously). Now that would be a fun daily race...

btw. for race C: can somebody give me a hint about the tires and/or the track conditions? Is this supposed to be „wet“ or „really wet“? Also, I don‘t recognize any difference in traction and stability between Intermediates and Rain-Tires...

The condition we are racing in are the "quite wet" setting at 0630 hours. 2030 is "pretty wet" and 1100 is "really wet"

As for tyres you are best using the heavy wets. There is not a massive difference between the intermediates and heavy wets in these conditions but the heavy wets seem to be slightly quicker although not by a margin that you can definitely feel the difference when driving....stability and traction feels very similar on both tyres.

Iv got within 3 tenths of my best heavy wet time on the inters but I'd reccomend using the heavy wets.

No Stop Strategy in Race C Spa Wet Conditions

I have always done well in the rain in real life motorsport and sim racing, so I was delighted to see my favourite track Spa appear as a wet race C. However qualifying was terrifying at first but I managed to hook up a 2:40.7xx before time was up.

Race one Audi R8, Wet tyres, Power 1, TCS 2, BB-2, no pit stop. Started P2, and myself and the polesitter left the rest of the field for dead. I held the lead for a while but had one major spin that resulted in a 5 second barrier contact penalty which cost me the win. The polesitter pitted for Wets and came out side by side after my spin but the penalty sealed my fate. Wet tyres were quite worn by the end, remaining fuel was <1 lap.

Race two Audi R8, Intermediate tyres, Power 1, TCS2, BB-2, no pit stop. Started P2 again Racing was clean and fair as this time the front three left a gap to the rest of the field. I over took the leader and he then pitted which gave me a nice gap, wary of my spin in race one I cautiously circulated in the low to mid 40s. I am pretty sure most of the rest of the field also pitted at some point. Fastest lap and race win which preserves my record of race victories at every track contested except for my first two days at RBR.

Well, race C is still the cleanest option right now but a few bad apples has spilled over.
I was doing a no-stopper but when the guys changing tires caught up there was some entitlement...
Here is a German vegetable based doctor feeling that overtaking is not something you have to be able to do.
First the nose in when I am right next to the curb and when that doesn't work he flashes his lights, I assume to make me leave the racing line, and then blatantly pushes me off, costing me 8 spots.

Well, looking at Kudos it's obvious he is just a visitor to SR S

The man thrives on DR resets. Probably the only way he can win is dirty. I see no other reason to mozee down to the new guys than to farm.

A Slophy in 2nd and a 4C in 3rd were a more than a tad twitchy at the start.
Behind me, a Slophy slipped up and caused a massive pile up, first quarter of the first lap.
From the second lap, I was putting the pressure in the 4C. It made a couple mistakes and I powered past on the middle straight.

2nd place Slophy got a .5 second penalty towards end of Lap3. I was catching up and it got another .5 penalty. Motored past for 2nd. Good stuff.

Managed to drop my qualy from 29.990 to 29.722. Optimum is 29.4. Hope to get that before next week.
