Thats right, week after next. For me only C looks interesting, Im weak at Willows and hate Tokyo... But really cant wait monday and SF19(?) at Autopolis:) favourite car and track always good results at this combo
Autopolis is actually the track I have the best results and most races on, even though it's far from a favourite of mine. But using a controller the cars faster than gr 2 are hard for me, so I never really liked the SF cars much.
Now gr 3 on Willow Springs is a different story, that is right up my alley

Yeah I’m a big fan of big willow. That was another early success track for me.

Those high downforce cars are way, way easier with a wheel. I found anything Gr 2 and above nearly undrivable on a controller (except for the TS050 at Le Mans...I could make that one work enough, but I wasn’t fast). With a wheel, I think I’ll be able to put down competitive enough times with the SF (if that’s what it is) and the Gr 2 cars.

Edit:

These weeks when I don’t have much time to race, I almost shouldn’t bother. It becomes more frustrating than it’s worth. I might just run laps at Spa for next week’s FIA and figure out how to get my SVG files ready for my liveries for the rest of the week. (After I get back to SR S :banghead:).

Having fun in race B, mixed lobby B and C, I had a Qt of p15, finished p3. Mostly due to others mistakes..
Edit: who am I kidding. Only due to the absolute carnage everywhere. Friday afternoon and on Valentine's Day... All the adults are otherwise engaged and the kids are without supervision :D

After a week of Race C i thought I would give race B a go. Qualified P15/16 on an all DR/C grid... was really hoping for a second faster from the Aston. Dang Gr3 feels fast there!

Race starts, at least in a strait line and far out! What a difference in attitude between Race B and C! Most of the drivers around me were to to quote Jimmy Richards "a pack of arseholes". There were a number of spins and other "accidents" which I passed along the way. The guy in front kept blocking me.. even on the straits. When I did pull along side him he would try to push against me. This seemed to be the theme for the race. His blocking was slowing us both down and allowing people from two seconds back to catch up. They too were hot lapping, and anything that was in their way was forced aside. The upshot of all this is that I finished P11 instead of P8. I was not a happy camper!

Last night unreported race had me starting P6/18 and finishing P8. The 3.5s penalty from a dive bombing Cayman didn't help, or the shunt from a Lambo with another second added to that 3.5s. Or the tag teaming between those two at the last lap. First the Cayman dive bombed me in the same place (no penalty this time) , then the Lambo knocks me into the sand by diving up the inside on a section where there is really only 1 line, and if my car wasn't there, he would have gone off track .

SR blue on both races. Gained 100 DR from last night and lost 400 tonight. The drop back to DR/D I think has begun.

Maybe Im an exception but when I was using DS4 gr2 cars and above seems to be easier to drive than for example gr4... Maybe its beacause slower the car is you must be more precise, if make little mistake time loss is big. In SF car little mistake cost you maybe 0,1s and in gr4 same mistake cost 0,5s... Another thing is that I didnt race in sport mode in cars like SF, cause last time when that combo was I didnt have wheel:) so I dont know if I still like SF:) today gonna try beat my controller time on Autopolis, dont know how hard it would be, or maybe easy? Generally Im faster on wheel but not on every track, Panorama for example... But in slow cars difference is HUGE, wheel gives precision that ds4 dont

Edit: and of course on controller my tyres saving was a lot lot worse:)

I love the SF on controller. Max steering sensitivity. Hefty helping of rear brake bias. TC on 1 if there's tire wear.

in only we could have this level of ghosting in higher levels....
I rarely see ghosting accept when someone presses the pause button like that guy in the GTR (and people running off too). I understand him, he had no idea who I am and that I already was judging where it would be most lenient for me to run off. He was a roadblock when we came up behind. Then he ghosts and I run right through.
The guy that ghosted when he was dive-bombing must have been a low C.

In my personal opinion, the SF cars went from "fun but a handful" on the controller to "more fun than the law should allow" on a wheel. I was losing DR & SR the last time they were used in daily races, but I didn't care, I was having too much fun.

Driving the Gr.3 cars around Big Willow with BoP on should certainly be easier than doing it in Hamilton's crappy Mercedes. 👍
Compared to the Gr.4 cars we're used to at Willow, these ones should have bigger crashes and more rage quits.

They should turn off resets for this race too. I bet the field would finish with just the top 5, haha.

Circuit de la Sarthe: 124 races, 41 wins, 102 top 5
Suzuka: 153 races, 38 wins, 122 top 5
Red Bull Ring: 76 races, 38 wins, 65 top 5
Maggiore GP: 131 races, 25 wins, 90 top 5
DT Seaside: 106 races, 12 wins, 60 top 5
DT Gardens: 52 races, 10 wins, 34 top 5

Top 5 is something I do really well :D

It's 13x at Suzuka the week after

I mean, I think it's hard for them in these situations. From matching to race ending, they give them self usually about 25 minutes max for Race C. People complain about there being no strategy in it, but we also whine when the tire multipliers are too high and no one really loves adjusting fuel map the entire race either, haha.

Race length increasing would help, but they'd have to do rolling match making probably. That'd be my preference, even though I only have time for a one or two Race Cs a night as it is.

Absolutely agree, though mostly because Le Sarthe is actually designed for LMP cars and gives you plenty of time to set up for the next corner.

Not gonna lie race C for the next 2 weeks is totally my jam.
Love high down force cars on those two tracks, probably get back to A+ even. But damn these tire values are redic...
Probably just means a forced pit in though, everyone being on equal ground, maybe even 2 pits?
