So I checked difference between ds4 time anf wheel time. SF Toyota racing mediums, ds4 1,27.085, wheel 1,27.680... I need to practice a lot, but now my hands shaking:) cant wait monday:)
Edit: Autopolis

Dont want to curb your excitement but I dont think it's super formula at autopolis. 10 laps in those cars is a little over 14 minutes which is far too short for daily race C. I'm pretty sure I know what car it is based on laptime and best candidate is the red bull junior.

15x tire wear for Race C next week. PD pls, stop with this excessive tire wear garbage.

If I'm right that the car is the red bull junior then x15 on hards is fine as it's a high down force car with low power so doesn't harm the tyres much. I tested till lap 5 and was still getting quicker.

I didn't check the number of laps for next week's Race C so I also assumed it was Super Formula. You're probably right about it being the RB Jr's then. That also now means that instead of comically excessive tire wear, we're gonna be dealing with ANOTHER no-stopper. I'm really good at those cars (38th fastest time in the Americas last time they were used at Suzuka), so I might actually run this one. I don't even remember the last time I was actually looking forward to a Race C.

Anytime the Supra finishes top 10, I'm happy.

Having fun in race B, mixed lobby B and C, I had a Qt of p15, finished p3. Mostly due to others mistakes..
Edit: who am I kidding. Only due to the absolute carnage everywhere. Friday afternoon and on Valentine's Day... All the adults are otherwise engaged and the kids are without supervision :D

Dude, why the boot full of throttle every time you come off the brake? Wait until at least the apex before getting on the gas, wind back the TCS a touch and you'll knock chunks off your laptimes.

B race could to with being a lap or two longer, although it does give me time to appease the wife inbetween races.
Had some great racing, tried a few different cars including the Toyota.
Have settled on the Mustang, seems to be heavy enough to make people regret stupid pass attempts

Worked on race C after work today. I did some qualifying laps first, 2:05.7 and 2:05.8 with the F Type and Lambo. Since I'm much more consistent with the Lambo I used it to race.

First race, qualify 8th. I wasn't sure how much fuel I'll need so I run fuel map 2 and short shifted. Got punted mid way thru lap 5 and dropped way back. Then pitted and grabbed a fresh set of tires which sent me to dead last lol. I picked up a few spots the last two laps but figured out my strategy.

Next race, I qualified 5th. I was running P2 and pitted on the end of lap 6. Grabbed just fuel and popped out 5th. Got punted immediately on turn 1 taking out a guy with me. He then revenge punted me later that lap. I'm sure he thought I did it to him intentionally, so oh well. Then a guy sent me into the wall at the last chicane. So three times in one lap. Lastly a guy run out of gas and side swiped me just before the finish line. Spinning me out costing me another position. I only seen one, 1 sec penalty from all of this. I think I was like 12th nothing special

Third race was good, qualified 2nd with a bunch of Megane's ran a solid fairly clean race. Fell back to 5th trying to save fuel. P3, 4 then me hit the pits at the same time at the end of lap 6. I came out P3 but wasn't able to hold position to the two Megane's. It's clear they have a much stronger late race pace once the grip starts to fall off.

So I've been running Fuel map 1 for the first few turns then switching to 2 until the last lap, then go back to 1. BB set +5 to the rear. Fuel milage could be improved with some drafting, but I need to be more consistent on the last 3 laps on worn tires. Gained some DR up to 22943. I seen a significant amount of bumping and punting are penalties non existent again? I haven't played too much the last 2 weeks.

@1:48, is it normal to drive straight through other cars in SR C?

Absolutely not. I was going to run off before the chikane, med and the other Beetle came up behind the GTR a lot faster than I expected. The other Beetle quickly turned to the inside and I really had no way around so I was planning to brake hard and miss the chikane, but the guy in the GTR understandably got nervous, thinking I was going to hit him, or that the other Beetle would swipe him in the Chikane, so he hit pause to ghost. When I saw that I got carried away and went through. I shouldn't have done that, but I did.

Yes youre probably right, now I remember last time SF on Autopolis was 13 laps? Redbull is also fun to drive so my excitement is still high:) BTW your videos are great!

I hopped in a couple races at yamigawa the last couple days. First races in like a month went alright. First race back a guy smashes the wall through the up hill esses and i have no choice but to smash him into next week effectively ending that race for me. Had a few cleaner races and made some passes. Still amazes me how people can play gt so much and still crash at every other turn but its the nature of the beast.

If it is the rebull junior it should be good fun as it's a car that encourages you to push harder and harder.

Glad you like the videos. I have a vid ready to go based on the junior at Autopolis that will go live next couple of hours

I feel I have to give a more detailed response. They way you describe is actually closer to my usual driving style, I am mostly in the Mustang and that works well there. But I am 4-5 seconds off my Beetle time in the Mustang, mostly because I can't get on the gas as soon with it. The Beetle allows me to drive this way.
TCS is something I rely on in daily racing because I can then survive other people's attempt to run me off, something that otherwise would ruin my race. Two penalty systems ago I ran gr. 4 with TCS off and gr. 3 on TCS 1.
But the deterioration of courtesy in daily races made me dial it up again.

I went down, down, down, and the flames went higher. And burns, burns. burns, the Ring of fire. The Ring or fire.... So I had jack of this whole fuel saving malarkey and did race B last night, and that screwed me over, so back to "strategy". Strategy being a no stop because I'm not fast enough to go balls to the wall, pit and come out better than 10 places lower than when I pitted .

I tried a bunch of cars that I knew were fast, and I thought might be viable... but I couldn't get any of the 🤬 to 🤬 turn ! My main criterion was how well it turned into T1 and managed T3 and more importantly, the exit to T4. I was going so wide I was slamming into the wall with a number of them . When I used the 4C it was a delight, turn, give it some gas and the throttle took care of the turn. In the end I had to settle for what was kinda working for me. Still couldn't improve on my older qualy, but I did come close with the Hyundai of all things (hey, I was getting desperate ). I was still at least a second off the pace, and on a mixed grid of DR/B and C that had me starting P10/19.

The start was less than ideal... pointing at the sand trap when auto drive cut out. I managed to keep it on the track (just) and started short shifting. Approaching T1 I had a pesky WRX swerve out and slam on the brakes in a cloud of smoke trying to out brake me and cut up the inside. He overshot and I was able to pass under him. Not as elegant as I had hoped, but he had forced me out of position. He was all over the place trying to drift and trying to force his way up the inside. He hit me a few times. A couple of cars had spun out at T5 and the WRX had picked up a 1s penalty for cutting at T3. I finished lap 1 P8 with the WRX in front.

I had gotten sick of his antics, and had hoped to have the delight of driving through him when he served his penalty. No such luck.. I was kinda focused on staying on the track and saving fuel. I closed the gap, but Lap 2, still P8 behind him. I got him on the final corner at the end of lap 3 to finish the lap P7. One thing i will say about the Genesys, it isn't upset by kerbs. The chicane was easy to deal with. Turn in for that final corner was also better than the WRX, hence my pass. He dive bombed me at Dunlop and I had to pull a Hail Mary with the brakes and the down shift to stay out of the sand. There was yet another WRX behind him flashing away. I ignored it and resisted the temptation to brake check him because he was 🤬 me off!

The WRX in front misjudged and went too far inside, and the WRX behind me overtook both of us, with me in the middle, and another blue car of some description in the mix, as well as a Lambo. I was worried about the Lambo, because whenever there is a Lambo in a race, they *always* find me and knock me off the track :scared:. A FakeSix dashed up the inside at the chicane for a very clean and slick overtake, but he over cooked it and went a bit too far on the inside of the exit. I picked up a 0.5s penalty along the way . The STI which was now behind me was sporting a 3s penalty. I finished lap 4 P7. The WRX was in such a hurry to get past me so that I could drive through him in the penalty zone . Meanwhile the Lambo was flashing his lights like that was somehow supposed to mean something to me. I'm not a back marker, so you can 🤬 off mate!

People pitted. Lap 5 saw me cross P5 right up the arse of the Lambo that had passed during the penalty. I started lap 7 in P4 when people pitted. I had a Lexus with an Idolmaster livery behind me till the final lap. He picked up a 1s penalty, but I had started the last lap with 1.0 laps of fuel left, so i was still in fuel saving mode. Tyre wear wasn't too bad.. I had been consistently lapping about the same times... consistently slow . He caught up and we were side by side at the chicane. He was in the inside, so I backed off and let him through... P4 wasn't worth potentially having us both go off. P5 from P10 was good enough for me . The story doesn't quite end there. Last lap syndrome had taken over the TT behind me, who was desperate to pass me on the final corner, despite carrying a 1s penalty... he wasn't going to be more than 1s ahead of me across the line, so he still finished P6...muppet .

Blue SR. I sauntered up to those boarder guards with the AK47's flanking the gates to DR/B, held out my passport and got my temporary visa stamped. One of guards turns to me. "So you have the entry papers, but don't expect a warm welcome. We don't like your kind here. " he says with a snear :scared:. I reckon I have 1 race in me before I get deported.

Man, your race reports are pure gold. And this part about guards with an AK's, lol

I don't understand. What happens if you don't do it?

The car is unstable to the point of not turning as I want. I can go through the turn coasting but only at a slower speed. If I get on the power the car settles down and powers through.
It's probably just me needing to spend time to learn, but I have limited time to run and prefer spending it in race. I see people spending days qualifying, I spend maybe 5-6 laps.

Funnily enough I seem to remember the RB Jr's actively discouraging me from pushing harder due to the ridiculous amount of high speed oversteer they have.

Of all the neglected tracks in the game to feature they pick Willow ****ing Springs?

Just got a free win at Yamagiwa for win #120. Was in 3rd to start, came out of the chicane behind two Supras. 2 tried to go round the outside of 1 going to the hairpin, 1 barged out and drove him off. I held off on passing because I figured I'd be next, and when I watched the replay the roles were reversed going into turn 1 on lap 2. Just bizarre behaviour, even if they'd clashed in a previous race.

Anyway, stats:

Yamagiwa: 81 races, 38 wins, 67 top 5, 46 poles
Dragon Trail Seaside: 76 races, 11 wins, 32 top 5, 2 poles
Tsukuba: 71 races, 18 wins, 50 top 5, 16 poles
Suzuka: 66 races, 1 win, 15 top 5, 0 poles
Interlagos: 52 races, 1 win, 16 top 5, 1 pole

Pretty depressing list that tbh.

I have been harvesting points this week at Yamagiwa. Alternating between the Aston and the Supra. Aston is like a train, but the Supra somehow is faster for me. My Supra time is 1.34.020 sooo close to 1.33 ..
I have gained 5,000 points in one week. No wins, but steady top 5 placements. I'm now 1000 points shy of A driver status
This race I was put in a top lobby with A and A+ drivers in the top 3. Impressive 13th in the region on pole.
I'm starting 8th and have a slightly optimistic goal of top 5, but Yamagiwa will often deliver carnage and so also in this race. Gains from someone collecting cars and a 9 sec in penalty puts me in 4th... now its all about DEFENSE! - Enjoy !

Let's get an SF race at Spa. Just sayin'.

Depending on my schedule, I'd be down for that.

In the rain, with no TCS allowed;)

Driving the Gr.3 cars around Big Willow with BoP on should certainly be easier than doing it in Hamilton's crappy Mercedes. 👍
Compared to the Gr.4 cars we're used to at Willow, these ones should have bigger crashes and more rage quits.

I smell another video coming on.

If it's the Super Formula cars that everyone expects, the wear might not be to bad due to the high downforce and low weight.

You underestimate my powers of tire destruction.

you-underestimate-my-power-33710498.png

Looking at my stats, I shouldn't be surprised at them.

Main
Big Willow: 52 races, 6 wins, 26 Top 5,15 pole positions
Suzuka: 49 races, 5 wins, 19 Top 5, 4 poles
Lago Maggiore GP II: 41 races, 5 wins, 23 Top 5, 11 poles
Brands Hatch GP: 40 races, 2 wins, 7 Top 5, 0 poles
Red Bull Ring: 30 races, 1 win, 11 Top 5, 0 poles

Dark side
Dragon Trail Seaside: 11 races, 5 wins, 7 Top 5, 6 poles
Big Willow: 6 races, 1 win, 2 Top 5, 6 poles
Suzuka: 4 races, 0 wins, 1 Top 5, 0 poles
RBR: 4 races, 0 wins, 1 Top 5, 0 poles
Lago Maggiore GP: 4 races, 1 win, 2 Top 5, 2 poles

Team account
Autopolis: 4 races, 1 win, 4 Top 5, 1 pole
Goodwood: 2 races, 1 win, 2 Top 5, 0 poles

After seeing some of your stats, I don't feel like I'm playing the game too much after all.

Why is it that Megane drivers are always the worst behaved? I swear they get in that car and instantly lose their minds.

I see Megane drivers as courteous. They know everyone else need to conserve more or have to pit. They let me go past. On the other hand, the NSX drivers are claiming the title now. It was once the Huracan that were the numpty drivers.

I had 7 NSX, in a row, behind me(in the Supra). I built a gap and pit Lap 6. I caught up to three of them. I passed one. Made my way to the back of 4th and 5th placed NSXs. I pass the next one. Set my sights on the 4th placed car. An RC F(3rd) had to serve a 5 second penalty after coming out of the pits. We pass the RC F. The NSX goes wide next corner. I get on the inside, but not enough speed to pass. I fall back behind it(this is the last lap, I'm setting it up to pass down the long straight) so I don't lose time to an NSX behind. We get past the esses and entering the next sharp left-hander, it goes wide again. I have good speed and take the inside line, no contact. The next right, that leads to the straight, it contacts me and is escorting me onto the grass!! The NSX behind goes up my inside and bumps me as well.

I'm flashing lights in disgust and right on the rear bumper of the second NSX. I'm not going to slow down for the chicane. I hit the NSX in front as it slows and I get on the gas and send it into the other NSX. We all go off. I recover ahead and finish 3rd(I have the video, if anyone wants to see).

I posted at the end, "U B DIRTY, I HIT Back".

Noone touched anyone whole race, until that point. I checked the replay and they both were on fumes. I had more fuel to burn. Just give up the spot instead of trying to punt off the faster car. Not a good way to save face.

1st race of the night.
Warm up.
I'm out 4th ish. Slow slightly down for cars mixing it up through 1st right hander, car behind barges through, knocks the two cars ahead into the walls. I end up next to him, so they give me a nudge towards the wall, ha. Buried into him the concrete with the Mustang.
They were on pole.
Gain 5 places in a pretty clean race.
Pole loses 5
