Definitely the Wild West at The Big Willow !
I quite like this track.
As you all know, it can bite you big style just hot lapping, throw in another sentient (or semi-sentient) being or 15 & it's Dodge City.
Did a few laps on main account and got my lap down to .14.1 in the Lexus. Did a bit research on here and thought screw that for a game of cowboys and switched to the alternate account. Set a .20 lap and entered the fray.
Grid position was 16th.
And we're away, T1, to my surprise, everyone safely made it. Not so for the rest of the lap, they slid, bumped and launched themselves of track, reminded me of the Dukes of Hazard.
P10 lap 2 and the carnage continued, P7 lap 3, bit of a dust up between P5 & 6 means they get penalties, up to P5 lap 4.
Of course, as other posters have said, my brain goes "We can't be having this, I'll make him screw up the last corner before the last lap, that'll make him sweat big time, ha"
And so it came to be
P7 at the chequered flag, or was he waving a Stetson ?
Anyway, P1 & 2 were congratulating themselves with clean driving, not so much the others, 4 quit mid race.
Might stick with getting up to speed for the manufacturers and nations this week

Hello everybody (in my best Dr. Nick voice)

Finally able to sit at the wheel for more than ten minutes, stupid hernia surgery lol missed the last week and a half. Getting back to it this afternoon with race A. No races yet still trying to get my feel back. Best lap is a 35.084 with an optimal of a few tenths less. I'm actually really enjoying this combo even though i hate fwd lol

Had a go at Race C from the back, had great fun!

Pitted on lap 5, went from the Mediums to the Hards, and pushed hard to the end.......Not bad a finish seeing I was speared off by someone at the hairpin on lap 1, and lost about 10 seconds. Also jumped up to A/S again! :D

Did a second race (after waiting half an hour to do it, bright sparks at PD), did a 1:48.2 in qualy to start 6th, and again got pushed off at the start of lap 2.....Same strategy again, and got 8th at the end.....

Fun races this week, just a pity you have to wait around to start subsequent ones, wallies!

The race matchmaking algorithm sorts drivers by SR and then by DR, "top split" is the group with the highest DR.
So the top split would have the lowest numbers on their number stickers, right? Since I heard that the door number correlates to how high your DR is, with higher DR translating to a lower door number.

Since this is a tire saving race I am assuming a GT-R or a Lexus. Pretty much whatever you can manage tires and keep speed best with. Never driven it but everyone says the NSXs just eat tires.

This I can confirm! At least for me the NSX eats tyres like no tomorrow so on the basis that's it a long race I guess I will use something a bit safer
like the GT-R, I take it 13 laps of Suzuka takes longer than the allocated 25 mins then?

No. Everyone in any given lobby will have door numbers from 1 to whatever the number of cars on the grid is.

Yes, ish.

I was about to start what would hopefully be clean race #10 at Brands on Friday, and my Thrustmaster took a dump and froze up. Went off before the start line and that was that. BUT, I did get the 6 CRB achievement and had some fun. While I made plenty of mistakes over the rest of the weekend, one racer accused me of brake checking him- but we were at Sheene's and he was on my *** in a packed first lap. Drafting around high speed corners doesn't end up well a lot of the time. Watched the replay and I did nothing wrong, so hopefully he learned about dirty air. He had been drafting bumping up to it anyway, so I felt little remorse.

Watching @05XR8 clip of race B and remembering the one there this past DRWF I am starting to feel like Big Willow is acting like an improved Brands. Slightly longer, some solid passing possibilities, . . . and it will ear you alive if you put a wheel wrong. Going to have to play around to get a feel for it in GR 3 as that will be new to me.

Yes, both Brands and Willow has an element of Nordschleife to them. Very rewarding, very exciting and very deadly if you step just one piece of tyre thread out in the sand or on the curbe.

I believe that is the very reason they are so loved AND hated...

Sooooo, What group 3 car is going to get the best air off of the T2 Jump at Willow tonight? :D
What is fastest off the line? What about one of the weird space ships? Citroen or that other Peugeot VGT or whatever it is.
Not the Evo again!:nervous:
I second the Peugeot- it'll look like a UFO crash landing and people will think they're playing GTA and will get confused- PROFIT!

No racing, just Q-Laps as every monday. (I call it peeing at the Armco)

A ridiculous 1:38.3 in Nipponopolis
A satisfying 1:13.6 in the Californian desert with the R8
A suprising 1:51.9 below the ferris wheel with the Motul Autech (I dislike Group 2 and Suzuka)

I‘ll wait for reports if it‘s actually worth racing or if it’s an interactive broadcast of Deathrace 2000.

A two stop might be viable. It's a one stop minimum.

And then you've got 29 minutes to sit and think about it.
From what I've seen, in B/S races, most people seem to be two stopping. I have, however, seen some doing more than two stops!

I'm sure the top guys will be able to manage a one stop race.

This one is pretty funny. I had a decent battle with the orange car for about half a lap, then it became clear that the guy behind me wanted to hit the guy in front of me. He did end up hitting him...... and knocking him into me. Collateral damage.

Here, you'll see me doing something that I really don't recommend. These guys were coming out of the dirt, and I thought I would clear them before turn 1. Wrong!
Never put yourself in this position. :dunce:

How'd the Supra feel there? I want something other than the Rc F and the AMG.

4 wide! Impressive. Bad idea, but impressive.
Did find a song for race B this week that popped back up in my random playlist.
