Still loving race C. Finally notched a sub 18-minute race. BB -2 for L1-L4 then 0 for L5-L7 and +1 for L8-L10.

Early weekend mornings > all other times. Seems like most people understand T1 and appears to be less punting vs earlier in the week.

Nope, my last race was on wednesday or thursday.
Ah well, it was still embarrassing - he got fastest lap, and I got slowest lap!

Love the way you can get rammed so far off track in Race B, that it takes a day to get back on track, and the rammer gets no penalty - touch door handles with another car, to the detriment of nobody, and I get a 2 second penalty (and my only SR down this week) for 'Contact with another car'.......

I think this may have been the most savage dive dome in history.

I remember seeing you go off and saying "@Pigems goes hunting" and then hoping I could get round the corner fast enough to have you miss. Definitely didn't make it. Awesome aim.

Edit: After DRWF I got my confidence back up a bit and went out for a couple dailies in the evening. Had a really good race B where I started 7th, made a clean pass at druids on the start and then tried an inside line at Stirling. Just barely held on coming out but we both bumped and ran off. The other driver got the penalty so I let them back through, although didn't stay after the penalty as he ran wide at sheene anyway heading to serve. Managed to get to 6th but stayed there as there was a train of 5 of us but no mistakes allowing for passing.

My false hope failed me in race C as I was starting at the back of a mainly A/S lobby. Failure ensued due to my lack of speed. Didn't even get to take advantage of turn 1 chaos as when the pack piled together I tried to ease in and simply gave speed boosts to the guys in front while I slammed to a halt. Many lonely laps to follow as the others just drove away.

The went for race A. Much more fun than I expected. Started p9, stayed wide for a cut back in turn 1, and as everyone pushed wide I was P6 exiting. Similar thing happened in the next hairpin and ended up P4. Held it to the end for a happy ending.
Glad to get some good racing in. Love knowing those races are still out there.

And after seeing all the blank space I was glad to see @Invisigoth put in a post so I don't do a double. Spent time working on picking up my qualifying times for vanity reasons. Got a good one at Brands so thought I would give it a go as races were good last night. Found myself on pole, rare enough, pulled a 1.5 sec lead by lap 2? What was going on? Sure enough I go just wide enough at Stirling to give P2 a run up to me down the straight, we go 2 wide through the fast right, and they run off! I get so rattled that I screw up the final left just enough to slow me a bit and then get a wobble on by touching the outside curb on the final turn heading to lap 3. Somehow I settle the car and myself and manage to run clean to the end. I won! Usually my wins come from someone else bottling it, and I guess the guy catching the edge of the grass could count, but since I led all but about 100m of the race I am stoked. And promptly called it a night. It has been fun, see you guys again soon.:gtpflag:

Although I might bail if I see @Pigems in any of my Big Willow races next week:lol:

If like an hour has gone by and no one has posted, and you have something to post, *just do it*! ;)

Not sure what his Asian alt is. Then again with his jumps, his car is just as likely to span servers .

I did a couple of C races in my alt account. I happened to race with the most handsome man in GTSport, who was also on his alt.
He started 14th, I started 16th (out of 17 cars). We were racing with B/S - A+/S people.
In just one lap, this guy and I went from 14th/16th to 4th/5th place. People kept taking each other out or took themselves out.

Aaaand the turds just keep coming. Did some qualifying with the SLS. Just couldn't throw a lap together that was all good. Optimum was similar to my optimum with the GT-R, but my actual lap times were inconsistent. I started P11/15 on a grid of mostly DR/D with a few Cs thrown in.

I was doing great till Hawthorn. I have taken that corner dozens of times with no issue with the kerb stones on the exit. This time I must have had the wheels turned too much. I spun out and dropped to last place with a 9s gap :banghead:. Ruined my CRB streak.. was just about to break my record. I closed to the gap to 5s but I just couldn't make up those other 4s. The down side to Race B... one mistake and you are screwed. I could see from the track map that the rest of the cars were a conga line, all bunched up, except for me.

Blue SR (can't loose points when there is no one to hit), DR dropped 1.1k. Unless I gain some points my next race will see me back to DR/C. Day 6 across the border .

Had 3 great B races yesterday in a variety of cars. First was the trusty NSX. Performed great as usual. Got up to 4th but got punted twice on lap 3 and finished 11th. Only lost about 400 DR so I wasn't too mad.

Second race in the Porsche. Fantastic! I'd been kinda put off by the Porsche's long gears but decided to give it a try. I'd never used it in a Sport Mode (or any online) race. Pleasantly surprised! Handles great and has some good speed. Classic flat 6 sound as the cherry on top!

Third race in the....... WRX? Whaaat? Another car I've never raced online. Figured I try it. Too closely geared in my opinion but I adjusted. Handles great and has decent speed.

In the second and third races for me yesterday, I finished 3rd and 4th in higher rated B/S rooms. I started the second race 10th and the third race 7th. Lots of spots to be gained because of the silly carnage that happens throughout the whole race with guys trying to keep momentum with that stupid Megane. Advantage is it's a very lightweight car but because of BOP, the car has a HP disadvantage. It encourages keeping as much momentum as possible through the turns. I'm seeing that lots of guys don't know how to do that properly and they end up getting too much curb or grass on corner exit and spin off into the shadow realm. I'm terrible at the momentum thing, that's why I like cars with the HP and torque to come out of turns and pull away... Looking at replays, there's guys going into turns in the Megane 8 -10 mph faster than I am. Lots of times, they bin it. Some guys do know what they're doing though. I raced a Brazilian in a Megane the other night who knew how to carry momentum very well! He was fast! Fun race with that guy! Looking at the replay, Other than turn 2, I'm almost certain he never shifted below 4th gear. Hats off to him!

This has been a fun race this week and I haven't used the Megane. That's part of the fun for me.

After a dismal Monday, I've had a bunch of great B races this week and my DR is the highest it's ever been. We'll see what Gr3 at Big willow has in store for next week's B race.

Did a race B in Atenza. Started mid-pack around 10th. Four Slophys and a TT behind me. I was doing fine. A Slophy couldn't get by. It went off on its own.

Another Slophy tried to pass. Was flashing it's lights on the straights. Not in the corners like when using a d-pad.
So, it eventually gets by and it doesn't get away.

On the straights, it's taunting by weaving side to side. I start flashing my lights like what does that do?
Lap 3, it starts to pull away and catches a car behind. After T1, it touches dirty and maintains. Later in the lap, it's a bit squirrelly.

Next lap, after T1, it happens. catches edge of the track on the left, can't control it, goes right and into the barriers. That's what you get!

Meanwhile a teal Slophy, can't pass me with my corner exit acceleration. From nowhere, the Slophy that first went off, had passed everyone and comes around my left side on the final turn. We both give each other room and it pips me by .004. Finished 5th & 6th.

I said Well done. Thanks for the clean race.
Player says Thank you.

Good stuff.

My take on how tomorrows daily race C might unfold.

It's a return to pitstops and strategy for this one. Should be a good week of racing.

Hope this help people get prepared

appreciate your efforts bro
how do you think hards for seven laps and finish on hards would compare? mediums for me are junk after four laps in the xanavi,

Ya see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name, it felt good to be out of the rain...(although that probably applies more to those who did @Bivittavus88 's TT challenge ). I wasn't sure...Suzuka or Big Willow. I took a gamble that I would probably do poorly on either one, so I went with Big Willow. Once I loose this race and fall to DR/C I have a bit more to play with before returning home to DR/D. I qualified with the R8 and was about 3s shy of the top 10 when I last looked. That had me starting P11/15 on a mixed grid of DR/B and C.. there was 4 of us Bs. Yep... starting this far down with this many Cs, next race I'm in I'll be DR/C. It was bug city, there must have been about 5 or 6 of them on the grid.

Race starts and already at T1 people are coming off with no assistance from the people behind. I did pass one guy on the inside who was drifting wide. When he turned in to try stay on the track, he hit me and bounced back and into the sand :(. This seemed to be a common theme. I'm putting it down to Monday Madness. For the first couple of laps I had to do a @05XR8 and back off so I didn't hit the guy in front. I kept gaining on him and then having to drop back and hope he made a mistake. He did make a few, but he was carrying enough momentum not to loose enough for me to capitalise on.

As the race wore on by lap 3 I think, I had a 6s lead over the guy behind me, so I was still staying in touch to the guy in front, but being careful to stay on the track. I found myself in P4, with both of us catching up to P2. I finished a surprising P4 with a clean race bonus . I thought there was still another lap to go! This happened the last time at Big willow too.

SR blue, DR went up just shy of 600. Day 7 in hostile territory.

Just caught some of Kie's stream. In daily race C the race is so long that you miss the start of the next race. One Daily Race C per hour max

Can't actually say I disapprove of this.

That race was an absolute ball ache  lots of fun mid pack, though.
