Ya see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name, it felt good to be out of the rain...(although that probably applies more to those who did
@Bivittavus88 's TT challenge

). I wasn't sure...Suzuka or Big Willow. I took a gamble that I would probably do poorly on either one, so I went with Big Willow. Once I loose this race and fall to DR/C I have a bit more to play with before returning home to DR/D. I qualified with the R8 and was about 3s shy of the top 10 when I last looked. That had me starting P11/15 on a mixed grid of DR/B and C.. there was 4 of us Bs. Yep... starting this far down with this many Cs, next race I'm in I'll be DR/C. It was bug city, there must have been about 5 or 6 of them on the grid.
Race starts and already at T1 people are coming off with no assistance from the people behind. I did pass one guy on the inside who was drifting wide. When he turned in to try stay on the track, he hit me and bounced back and into the sand

. This seemed to be a common theme. I'm putting it down to Monday Madness. For the first couple of laps I had to do a
@05XR8 and back off so I didn't hit the guy in front. I kept gaining on him and then having to drop back and hope he made a mistake. He did make a few, but he was carrying enough momentum not to loose enough for me to capitalise on.
As the race wore on by lap 3 I think, I had a 6s lead over the guy behind me, so I was still staying in touch to the guy in front, but being careful to stay on the track. I found myself in P4, with both of us catching up to P2. I finished a surprising P4 with a clean race bonus

. I thought there was still another lap to go! This happened the last time at Big willow too.
SR blue, DR went up just shy of 600. Day 7 in hostile territory.
