This is why Daily Races should go back to Daily Races

So, this dude is ghosted in an RC Z. I'm behind and we head into the second chicane. It outbrakes itself and I'm navigating the chicane. The RCZ goes hard right out of sight. Guess it had a change of mind, it T-bines me as I'm about to exit out of the chicane and then exits the game.

Had some stupid dirty races at Monza last night, a pack of Veyron's pinballed me the entire races and I got dropped from SR S to SR B in those two.
So went on a repair mission to Brands Hatch. Started from the back, no qualify and was p14 in a full lobby. At L4 when I Pit I am p9 of 11.
Ended up as p4 of 8, fastest lap.
Accidentally set a q time for next, started p16, finished p11.

Both races has an overwhelming number of asshats trying to ruin others race. I avoided all but one try.
SR 98, Dr up

Monza lol. Chaos fun.

In one race, i got bumped at T1 and i hit P2, he though i hit him purposely and then hit me purposely paving way for some mighty chaos. Now how do i tell him that i didnt do it :P

Some of the scenarios are like if i brake i get hit from behind, if i continue the guy in front is in trouble. What am i suppose to do :P

Got to 1:56:7 as of now in RC Z.

Time to start my own league. GR.4 cars like real GT4.

MUSTANG
SUPRA
VANTAGE
CAYMAN
SLS
M4
650S

That's it. Quick six race Championship. 10-15 minute timed races. Mandatory pitstop. 1x tyre/fuel wear. Real Circuits. Just plain, easychair racing. Anyway...

Monza should be fun.
I can hang with the Veyron with a slipstream. The RC Z has blistering acceleration, but I can hang on with a slipstream.
Problem is, both their braking and corner speed. I already know this, but dang, Veyron slows to a crawl. So, can't overtake it. This allows the Peugeot to close right up. Veyron AWD pulls it out the corner, while Peugeot 3rd gear pull, negates any corner speed I gain.

Real funny how the French cars are META. Twisty track? Slophy. Long straights? Megane, RC Z, Veyron. Twisty and long straights? Megane. If it's not the Slophy, it's the Veyron. Not the Veyron, the Megane. Not the Megane, the RC Z. No other country brand, comes close to providing this number of Gr.4 OP'dness.

First things first - Even though Brands Hatch has become repetitive, I like racing here. I did 2 races last night and made a nice DR gain - now up to DR B :)

I did two Race C's with the RCZ, and in a field full of 911's, it stood it's ground. Started and ran 8 laps on mediums, 3 on hards, and remainder on softs. Need to try other variations though.

Another question is, does the 20 second time penalty actually work? I did gain a few places because of others being penalized, but a couple of guys who started behind me, finished in P2 and P3 ahead of me despite getting the time penalty for not changing they tires.

Staying away from Monza for now.

Decided to stay up.late having fun at the Monza bomb fest. Actually had 2 clean races out of 3. Both involved some tapping on corner exit as I was much faster in some chicanes, but nothing to cause chaos. 1 driver got an unfortunate penalty when we were having a good race. Side by side into parabolica and I am steady and hard against the curb, he turns in just a hair too much and there was a tap, neither car did anything. He got 2 sec. Poor bastard. He won the next race though.
One ugly race just was getting bumped onto the sand at the first chicane exit twice. Cost me 3 spots but nothing actually crazy except the 1 revenge punt I saw. Turning into the first chicane when 2 ghosts blow through me as payback for something that happened lap 1. Nearly wrecked as I hadn't seen who was lined up there.
Might have to cancel sleep and try some of Brands as I usually have a lot of success there as well.

What’s the favourite car for Race C this week? I like the RS01 for Q, but it tries to eject me from the track after about 4 laps on the softs - I’ve no idea how to control it in a tire wear race!

I definitely have an issue with not being competitive at Gr3 compared to the other racing classes so need to focus on 1 car and master that for a while. Any suggestions?

I took the M6, but i had some serious issues with turning while braking, that i normally don't have.. really weird. My next try will be with the GTR, it usually drives like on rails and is easier on tire wear. Maybe i can squeeze out a few more laps on the fast tires..

Threadly reminder that the FIA is French...

Have you tried the Porsche 911 RSR? I've been having an overall good experience with it, and doesn't feel too hard to use, in my opinion.

Weirdly I’ve only used the 911 when we had Spa in the rain a few weeks back. I think I assumed it wouldn’t be fast enough on slicks but I’ll give it shot later.

Not sure I own the Gr3 mustang - though I probably got it on the wheel of fortune at some point.

Eurgh, Porsche, yuck.

If I wanted the weight dynamics of a reversing Jaguar I'd reverse a Jaguar.

In all seriousness I know it's a really good car but driving it makes me feel like an emotionless husk. It has no soul. The road car GT3RS' are even worse. Very quick, but flat, boring, predictable, and all accompanied by that horrible rear engine pushed-along-in-a-shopping cart feeling from the power.

I'm only happy in something like the Stratos that says "hey, remember how we went around this corner last lap? This time is gonna be a little different."

Delta Integrale gr.4 and 037 EVO gr.3 when, PD?

I am using the Peugeot RCZ. It's quick, takes corners well, is easy on the tires, and has good braking. I have had good runs with it in the past when we had SPA in the wet. The GT-R and 911 should also be good, but haven't tried them at Brands Hatch as yet.

Favourite car aside, if you'ren ot yet familiarized with GR.3, indeed pick a car and stick with it for a month.
On MR, I would advise the 4C. its a good car for learning MR
FR, go lexus, hyundai, or the SLS AMG. good learner cars, yet very competitive.

I guess asking PD to fix their categories and split Group 3 into proper GT3 and GTE, Group 1 into proper LMP1 and C etc. is too late now, isn‘t it? There would be no Porsche available in GT3 then...

If you want emotions, try the 458 Italia. Adrenaline rush is always there when you try to figure which is the corner when she will try to kill you :).

I'm starting to convince myself that PD have set up this week's races for as much penalty salt as possible, because they spend all week chuckling at this thread.
Race A qualifying / TTing is getting pretty annoying. I'm losing a huge chunk of time vs the #1 ghost on the final chicane. Each time you get it wrong, it's a 5 sec penalty, taking out both the lap you've just done, and the next lap, so the only option is to hit retry. BUT you start too close to the finish to be up to speed, so the next lap is still taken out. So the game seems to be trying to teach you that you should be driving really conservatively, or you will lose 4 mins of your life, but the contest to record a good time is trying to teach you that you need to get it wrong every time till you establish exactly where the limit is. So I'm a bit conflicted about what I should be taking away.

I don't get it, not only are the instructions on the Daily Races crap about what the special rules are. But I started on Soft Tires and changed to Hard Tires and still got a 20 second penalty. Wtf.

you have to use all 3 tyre types, otherwise you get the penalty.
I have to do 3 stops on a 14 lap race?

Right, I guess one sentence of helpful text in-game was beyond PD's capabilities

Well thanks for clarifying. Onwards with incompetent game menu design ‍♂️

The Veyron is a BIG brute, she simply wasn’t made for cornering. You just kind of make it around the corner and then let her stretch her legs before trying to survive another corner:lol:

Oddly enough I've found it surprisingly nimble. I don't have many wins, but half of them were at Bathurst, including with the Veyron. The Cutting, The Dipper and Forest Elbow are hardly big sweeping corners .

Did you do 2 pit stops and was one of those with mediums? You need to run *all three tyre choices*.

Two stops. You start on tires too. And I admit it can be a little off the radar but if you go to race details it's there.

@Mistah_MCA the Lambo just beats you and slap you. It won't kill you, just make you suffer... I think it's the Cosa Nostra mobile...
