The track of Interlagos, different of Suzuka, have turns tight.
a challenge for a group 4 car to stay in contention with so many refueling to do.
you have to do a track day in interlagos to feel this experience one day, here in Brazil.

I ready for patch new for this month.

Okay, I finally figured out how to upload a video. (I think) Still figuring Share Factory out, so be kind. This guy was doing it all, punting, blocking, berming (yes, that's a thing). He had already held me up, and knocked me (and everyone else that got by) off, multiple times. I got around him, and wasn't about to let him by on the straight. I'm the yellow 4C with the purple stripe (of course), and well, plan executed perfectly! He never caught me again, and I had a great race after this. okay, worked this time.

Just did the 0900 race in my trusty Mustang. Barely squeaked out the win as the guy in second pitted and had fresh tires at the end. Great clean race and lots of fun.

Getting back into GT Sport amid Covid-19. Jumped into the FIA Manufacturer Tournament Sunday night at Suzuka and after about 20 minutes of practicing thought perhaps selecting Mazda wasn't the best choice. In my only race I managed a 3rd place finish after starting 12th on the grid. I had 2nd in sight but a front running GTR that had time to make a pit stop got the best of me late in the race. Should I have planned to pit stop? Not sure what the best strategy is for these races since it's been so long.

Video shows a decent battle with a Porsche that was a little pushy but finally gave in, and the GTR that nudged me to pass. My lap times were between 2:12-2:15, was there more time in the Mazda6? I got a high 2:11 during practice but couldn't replicate it for qualifying.

Race C Interlagos

I entered the race not really having a strategy and when I did my pit stop I noticed that NO ONE else pitted
But it went to be a cracking race as I was catching up the field to get back to my original position.
It was fun.

The McLaren is a great car for Interlagos, but yeah the optimal strat is a no-stop unfortunately. Just too much time lost. I had to push the brake balance +2/3 to save the front tires.

I raced 2 of them yesterday. Walked away from one who wrecked his tires, and the other one won and tires were fine (a plus)
Diff drivers same race same car.
The winner was runnin mid 39 with a few low 40 no stop. Tires looked like my 86 wear wise.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I'm liking how SR is harder to gain. For the longest time, SR S was way too easy to reach/recover that it became almost meaningless.

It keeps the dirty in check and 99% of players won't be SR S unlike before.

I totally agree - with the mention that it will take a while to get to the separation again. Problem is, that these days will be hell to race - I had 2 horrendous races yesterday at Interlagos which dropped me to 73 SR even though I kept it as clean as possible( I had 2-3 moments when I traded paint with the other drivers - but it was just to keep it on the track - brake was not an option as it would have been just being hit from behind or from the side). I am hoping that maybe with FIA races I can improve the SR - otherwise I will have to tank DR and race back of the pack.

Not been on gts much last week or so, but i can not resist classic muscle. Some laps yesterday and two races early this morning before heading into work for a few tasks to help keep the lights on....

Races this morning were good and clean, although not full rooms (it was very early lol) hope it continues and i see some of y'all on the track this week.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone

Had last week off from sport mode as the race combinations were doing nothing for me. Fired up the alternate account today and set some slow lap times to start from the back of the grid to ease myself back in. I love Suzuka but I'm not that competitive around it.
I noticed that some Italian players fall out with their compatriots a lot, same with some Spaniards. I sat behind two Italian or two Spanish racers several times and they just battered each other, then let me through and continued battering each other or raced clean with me
Trying to lower my DR too as I'm not a B around these tracks, but I can't, I keep gaining places, usualy in the top 10 from last place ish. Wouldn't happen if I planned to charge through the pack :)

Arcade Game, sorry Sport Mode, is now unplayable. It’s impossible to even vaguely race cleanly because of the Wreckfest unfolding around you. I’m now witnessing the sort of vindictive, petty and downright offensive behaviour that I last saw in a playground.

Their unpleasant time-sink has wasted enough of my time.

It really really depends on the group. I had 1 race out of 6 last night that was laughably bad. Multiple guys ramming like it’s destruction derby.

Coming from the back is great for those rooms because I get to watch them act like idiots, which lets me know who to trust and who I should anticipate to wreck me.

One last night in C coming out of T1 onto the straight trying to force me into the outside wall ramming me. Having the Megane gave me the advantage and right as he was going to ram me I lifted and ducked around him putting him on the outside and I put him into the wall lol.

The ones who suck at driving are easy to position where you want them. They don’t understand the physics, just ramming. Each tried to screw me but I just toyed with them before dusting them.

For a handling car after the bump I’m pretty sure the French car can out accelerate the 86. The 86 is only one thing no men tum :)

Yep, it lacks top end to a few, but it’s acceleration between corners is on par with the power cars.

I had one pitch me into full opposite lock in the middle of T1 (the left part leading to straight) and I was able to get right back up to speed and on his bumper to pass him next corner.

Yep. In the 86 starting last you’re almost out of draft lap 1 turn one. Hehe
Handles amazing though. It’s a hang around car the 86 I mean you hang around then late in race play offense.
Seems like the French car you can play more offense early.

I think this is a really good example of how the penalty system has been improved.
I started at the back of race A, and made a bunch of easy passes on lap 1 because a lot of people crashed. By the end of lap 2, I made it to 2nd place. The leader was about 4 seconds ahead, and I was reeling him in.
On the final lap, I was getting pretty close, and could see that he had to serve a 0.5 track limit penalty.

Watch the ridiculous way he decided to handle his demise, which by the way had nothing to do with me (he failed miserably )
I don't think it's a huge deal if people are going to do that sort of stuff. I'll respond accordingly, and can usually even things out.

My point to all of this, is that if this incident happened a week ago, I'm positive I would have been penalized, and the jerk would've won. So, in that sense, I guess things are a little bit better now. 👍

Agree with you but I think geting back to S isnt that difficult... First I must say that I have to work on anger management:) Todays morning I ran 2 C's and got so annoyed by divebombers that I just got MAD and destroy them... My sr dropped to B:) Than in the evening I ran one Nations race and after that back to S, so in just one race...

Aaah again messed somethinh with quotin... @Tea_Leaves

keep practicing. The faster the rooms are, they cleaner they are. I was in the penalty box for a few rounds this week, and there’s a huge difference in the way that C/D drivers carry themselves around the track vs B+. Mostly...the racing lines become more consistent, and there are less accidental incidents.

nice situational awareness!

You can play offense the entire time with the Megane. Starting last I got to 2nd and ran a 1:39 (fast lap) on lap 11 trying to catch 1st. You can place the Megane anywhere you want, many lines to choose from.

Lol that guy was a prime example of the idiots who don’t understand physics. I just back out early and watch them fly through the corner expecting me to be there as brakes. It’s such a joy watching them fly off track on their own lol

4C is still a little beast. Consistent and fast. The last five laps, I got punted, shunted, blasted sideways, from 3rd, by an FF Megane on fresh tyres. I fell down the order. Passed all those cars, even an 86. Had an inevitability() with that FF Megane(it quit after that "board meeting") to finish 2nd. 1st place was the pole sitting Lancer, that pit for fresh tyres mid race.

Agreed, the Megane Trophy is great for race C. :)

I had a guy earlier dive on me in T1 from a mile back and missed, twice! I made fun of him for missing in the post race chat.
