I’m having heaps of fun in Race B in the Megane :)

I was in Dr-D lobbies and mostly starting mid-pack & finishing 2nd, now in C lobbies, starting at the back and finishing 4th-6th consistently... such a hoot!

Funny how having the fast car in a straight line makes racing fun...All it takes is a little mistake from Alfa or trophy drivers and they are toast...:)
I’ve had a ton of fun also...I’ve seen a few other Megane team members as well...

Are Kie's streams always like being at a Wrestlemania with your drunk uncle? Good lord I never knew it was a breeding ground for unintentional humor. Especially today when he got some idiot to penalize himself into a DR reset down to 7k/11.

I was watching that live and it was hilarious. The Spaniard appears to be a serial DR reset racer. They just never knew when to give up!

I had a great race with D drivers of the b race I tip my hat to you. I think we had a spread of 4 sec. through the field with most of us less then 1sec. Between 15 qualifying. We were bumper to bumper throughout out the race . I like racing against real drivers not the clock , Great race guy’s .

There are plenty of places to pass on Tsukuba, as on Nordschleife.
Turn 1, turn 3, between T5 and 5, t5, the back straight, last turn, the front straight.
Either on the inside or slingshot undercut.

Is 56.5xx a good time, though? I would think so, given that it’s only one second off some of the top ten times. Maybe it’s just the time of day when I’m entering races.

EDIT: According to KudosPrime, my time is within the top 900. Not sure if that’s good or not, to be honest.

I don't care if it's hybrid territory next week on Le Mans, I Will be in a group C all week. When I'm not at the Dragons Tail.
Group C cars, and Hybrids on the Mulsanne straight.

So, the days first punting...It’s always an important milestone :).
I’m on B race, tried NSX that things a pile.
Next Mcclaren, better but any wrx close is gonna try to mug you if they can...
Back to Megane or WRX for me.
The Megane is a fantastic car as far as the mental side. On the straights it’s a rocket..Combine that with fabulous brakes and you can make many overtakes, but also make the slug car drivers very nervous because they know you will be on them. Tcs 3 in the Megane really helps curb the understeer, that and a bit more off throttle, you gotta watch it entering the chicane and also the octagon. Outside that it’s ridiculous.
The Subaru is very balanced and is far easier to use with AWD, but if you can have slower entries in the Megane you’ll eat everything up on the straights.
It only gets tough when the trophies are drafting a Huracan Jag or Stang.
I’ve pulled out on a line of trophies in draft and giggled so many times yesterday and today.
Handling cars are just frustrating there for me.
(You just gotta trust those Megane brakes...Keep straight dive to apex just HOLD a tight inside and be patient applying power on exit...off throttle full lock, wait for it, then punch her when your facing exit with tcs 3...)
It’s like taking candy from a baby.

Re Karts you just need to race. Q time doesn’t matter much. All about racecraft and racepace
There’s a lot going on at once. You just gotta run it to see how you like it imo
In fact that’s true overall. The only way to get better and have more fun online racing is to jump in and race!

Race A next week sounds like it could be fun, IMO. And I think as far as the karts go, yeah, I think I should just stick with it and keep trying. But is there a reason why there seems to be a lot of contact? Is it something inherent to the karts in general, or is it Tsukuba?

I don't know why but this weeks daily race b has been very kind to me. Generally I am faster than my rivals but also nicer than my rivals. That gave me a lot of accidents and penalties. So I was never able to improve my dr rating almosts since the first or second day I played in sport mode.

I managed a 1.37.6 as a qualy time. Which gave me very good starting positions for the races and I'm knocking on the doors of dr. A by gaining nearly 10k points. Only 2,5k to go

But I must say people were playing nicer as well. I don't know if I were lucky or not. Maybe people starting to calm down a little bit

It’s just the combo, small track with twitchy cars is always gonna have lots of contact. :)

zzzz . gr1 lemans another combo we´ve seen gazillion times . another week i wont play gt sport
What gets me more, are the same track conditions.

DTG is the same time of day, as all the other times we've been there. DTS will probably be the same as well.

I think we've had La Sarthe at one of the early morning conditions. Mainly, it's been at the same time of day for every daily.

Give the EVO a go for Race B. Handles well, has fantastic brakes and overtakes Megane's fairly easily.

Yeah the straight line speed is pretty funny, but for me it’s the sharp turn in at the hairpin, octogon and the last corner that makes for fun overtakes up the inside.

I know the straight line speed closes the gap to enable the overtake, but so many times I’ve had the car in front run wide & I can just go a tight line on the inside over the kerb

despite al my fun racing last night, I did accidentally punt the same guy in a red GTR - in two separate races - outbraked myself at the final turn... felt really bad the 2nd time around, I knew he’d be swearing at me!

I dunno about the Evo. All my run ins with 🤬 there have involved someone in an Evo. Might mark you for others. At least in Asia.

Evo works good everywhere but the hairpin. I did a 37.9 with it though, only .1 behind my Megane time. 👍

Edit: A lap in the life of Ray Finkle.

I caught up to him on the very next corner.

The evo caught me out at the hairpin. It just won’t pivot like a Megane or wrx.
It’s fine everywhere else. I got in trouble with the evo just plowing a touch, next thing you know three corners later my wheel is almost off all crooked still catch up tangle again then it finally went to crap when I tried to straighten the mount as I came on the straight and accidentally powered down.
Whoopsie. Then I watched the replay and a cool dude was in a wrx that I tangled,
I’m sorry you probably weren’t expecting me to be at apex. I made the mistake of laying blame before replay watching...
My bad.

Jumping into Race C for my first set of daily races this week. Hoping I don't bang a fist into the wall. Also hoping 132.5 is good for favorable grid position for DR B but everything I've read so far from you guys is that it's likely better being at the back going into T1/L1.

Is Hyundai good at all? I always see them in last in World Tour Manufacturer Series events, and in my experience using the Gr.4 car they have, I’m about four seconds off from a lot of the top ten times for Daily Race B this week. Even with the buffs it gets via BoP, does Hyundai just suck in general?

On a side-note, could someone tell me why some automakers are typically absent from World Tour events? Idk if I’ve ever seem McLaren or Lamborghini, for example. It feels like the top five are always the same automakers, too, between Audi, Toyota, Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, with maybe Aston Martin in there.
