that is why I will not race (especially now with all schools closed) between 6pm and 10pm.
only racing I do is late after say 10:30 and 11pm and very early starting at 5am to when I have to go to work @ 8am. weekends not unusual for me to start at 11pm and go to 3 or 4 am sleep for a couple hours and right back on 6am until it starts getting dirty around 10am

6pm to 10pm was always bad, but now it's 9 am to 4 pm that's bad as well. It usually started to get bad after the schools got out while it was the cleanest time to race in the morning. After 10pm EST is always a gamble. Kiddies start to go to bed (but not on the west coast yet) while DUIs are starting to increase until it becomes a very grim atmosphere with bad matchmaking after 1 am (EST)

All that's left now are those early hours, before 10 AM EST. Not too early though, then you still have some DUI left overs from the previous day.

Next week Nord again yay, N400 one make booh. I guess it will be the one N400 car I made a livery for
Monza GR3, that will be fun. At least it's a long race, survive lap 1 and you'll be good. Nord is only 1 lap :/

I’m not going to be able to race any daily next week even tho I will be out of work omg.
I can’t drive any of those tracks at all, bad luck indeed.

People say hybrid hybrid hybrid but when you end up in a pack of them and can’t escape and none of them have a brain you end up off and sr down. To them it’s a Nascar event.

Monza is the easiest track in the game imho. Brake hard, apex, exit early and hard. Repeat.

I've done a few races today on my Australian account to recoup the SR I lost yesterday. I just wanted to cruise around nice and easy.
I didn't want any battles. I just passed cars that were crashed or serving penalties.
Lap 1, I was behind a Toyota entering the Porsche curves, and backed off early, so I wouldn't end up too close if he messed up.
Well, he did mess up. I kept slow to see if he would save it. As soon as I saw his tires hit the sand, I punched it.
But his car snapped back onto the track, and I slammed on the brakes, but it didn't help. SR down and a 2 second penalty for me.
Even with the best of intentions, just being on the track means you're gonna be vulnerable to 🤬 happening.

The SR point deductions are too harsh. Even though I was perfect for the rest of the race; neutral rating at the end. :indiff:

Next week's races are up.... Sort of

Race A
Tokyo Expressway South Outer Loop - N200 - 3 laps - Sports Hards - Grid Start

Race B
Nurburgring Nordschleife - N400/One Make - 1 lap - Sports Hards

Race C
Not up yet...

I know some people here who'll very much enjoy the Nordschleife with Evo
That's me playing project cars for a week then.

Edit didn't see the bit about monza. I love monza so that's me on there all next week.

Big moment getting past B. B seemed impossible when I first got in it.
Congratulations!

@sturk0167
Man that video...Talk about a bad break. :(
Eventually I managed to get it back to 99. I think I'm gonna stick with the LM55 for the rest of the way. Just slightly less speed than group C cars, but the brakes are a little better, and the handling is way better. It can hang with the Toyotas in the curves. Fuel economy is same as Nissan and Porsche.

Route X and Northern Isle would like to have a word with you.

Monza is pretty tricky. Even without any other cars on the track, T1 and T3 can send you off right or left.

Last night in the rain. It'cool PD gave us a night & wet race, but it's not accomplishing anything for me.

Second race of the day. The first one was silly. It's about avoided the re-entering car.
Patient players in this one.

2 races at La Sarthe in the 962, no stop, and I got my S back. (Barely). Started 2nd both races, got a 1 and 2 finish. Had @Sven Jurgens starting in the back both races, and taking the final podium spot in both. He almost had me in the second race, mostly due to going wide in Mulsanne when I tangled with a couple of 050's and got sucked in a bit deep. I'm driving this combo better, but am still slow for some reason. I am finding the no stop no problem now that I have it down. A little short shifting, though usually 1/2 - 3/4 bar, a little lifting when drafting, and some lift and coast at the end of some straight instead of WOT into the brake zone. Been finishing between .2 and .4 left. If I'm not behind a hybrid, I'll barely light the bar when making the 3-4 and 4-5 shifts, and if I'm not gonna pass, I lift and let the draft close me up into the brake zone. Maybe I"ll play with some other cars on my alt and try out some no stops over the weekend.

Great fun getting to race with you  It's always so much better to race people that know where to brake. I should have stopped after that second race with you, the next one was full of clowns again. Although I was the only one without a red dot at the end, I collected enough SR Downs to drop me back to SR.B, which was 2 SR Downs. In the other races with you I had one SR Down and ended with neutral rating. Harsh SR deductions are fine with me, but would be better if they went to the right car

My lap times are usually in the 3:31s. With some drafting I can get under 3:30, when everything goes perfect I can get down to mid 3:30 on my own power but that's about my limit while no stopping. I stay in FM1, usually shift at the 1/2 bar. A bit later for 2nd gear, mid for 3rd, early in 4th. After lap 1 I switch to the fuel map to keep an eye on my fuel percentage to see when I can start spending some more. It would be nice if you could have the fuel percentage on all the time next to the radar.

Anyway, it's not so bad in lower SR, much less TS050s, many more GR.C cars. I think I counted 8 of them in one race. The 962C is becoming the meta in lower SR lobbies

Well, it seems Tokyo is now the default for A.

Then there‘s again Monza which is notorious for dishing out strange track limits penalties. I see bump and run tactics being the way to go there.

Then there‘s the Nürburgring with a street car. I guess it‘s going to be a Porsche. A race feared by many and mastered by few.

For me it's "brake slightly too early for the first chicane, never get the turn-in right for the 2nd chicane, clobber the curb and nearly flip the car on the exit of the 2nd chicane, drive too cautiously through Ascari to avoid getting a corner-cutting penalty (except for towards the end of a race when I feel confident and then get a time penalty), repeat."

Well, after a good run the other night they are making it nasty tonight. 2 races, been pushed off 3 times by TS050 drivers. The first one was a massive accident where the guy just lost it and ended up taking me out.

But they waited for me and even held up behind while I served the penalty I got.👍👍
That was nice. Next race, um, nope. Got a wide entry into Porsche and the guy behind simply shoves me clean off, after the donuts to get righted I have lost 6 spots. Do make it back to p10, but while p9 the car I passed on the straight pulls a massively optimistic inside at arnage and shoves me off as he brakes too late. No penalty, but SR down and I lose over 2 seconds as hitting me straightens them out and leaves me with dirty tires.
SR continuing to drop. Now posting in chat that TS050 doesn't have automatic right of way.

Interesting that 2 out of 3 were clear mistakes, but only 1 person of all 3 actually showed sportsmanship. Cheers to them.
They ended up finishing behind me as well as we both climbed back through the field.

Yeah, not getting better. 2 wide through tertre rouge? Awesome! Swerve blocking on the straight? GREAT! Slammed wide through Dunlop? Obviously my fault so SR down and track limit penalty.
Oh well, off to SR A.:banghead:🤬:banghead:🤬:banghead:

What’s the deal with the headlight flashers? I don’t block, I stick to the racing line & give space when someone is alongside me

it’s a race, you’re behind me, it’s your job to try and find a place to get past

the number of repeat offenders who’ll catch up on a straight, sit behind and flash their lights like I’m meant to move over and wave them through.. honestly.

EDIT: While I’m on my soapbox - also people who make a last second pass right before a corner & dive in front of me in the braking zone, then complain if they get tapped... one of them punted me 2 races in a row as payback!

Flashing is at an all time high. If you are in a group C car the hybrid behind will often flash all the way through Dunlop and to the straight. I am on the racing line,if you want to pass go around. It's not a multiclass race (hint PD) so I don't yield. I won't defend but I don't yield.

Yeah, and those of us on the DS4 have a click problem with pressing the button while steering.
On my continued pet peeve tonight. Hybrids are totally evil. Even the race I won when dropped to SR A the guy on pole tried to punt me in the chicane after I passed him.
Next rave in the lower SR S bracket I was leading by a second when the Toyota in p2 simply didn't brake for the first chicane months straight and punts me straight into the wall. I get a 1 second collision penalty and lose 4 spots. They spun out near the end of the race and after I passed them they tried it again o the final chicane but missed. Said sorry after the race. I said if they were sorry they would have waited for me. They laughed, I called them a dirty prick. Had several issues around them all week so they drive like this as standard.
Yeah, reported, as if that will do anything.

So I guess it is SR repair at Monza next week
