Is race C a rolling start? Not sure that we've seen that before with the super formulas

Interesting, that might take some of the fun out of racing from the back.It is. I think people asking about the one-stopper, it's probably possible, if you're very careful. Just a little bit of short shifting too will see you to the end of the race, no need to refuel.
You press and hold it for when you want to use it, and there's a limit to how much you have for a race.Never tried Super Formula cars in Sport mode, how exactly does Overtake button work? How close should I be to another driver to be able to activate it?
Also, do I push the button it or just press it?
Judging by some videos I saw, there is some kind of limit for its use, is that correct?
It doesn't work like DRS does, there's no specific requirement needed to activate it, you can use it any time during the race.Never tried Super Formula cars in Sport mode, how exactly does Overtake button work? How close should I be to another driver to be able to activate it?

Is there any difference between the Toyota and Honda? Its a bit silly how I need to buy the Honda to race while I have the Toyota.
I'd imagine they're exactly the same?
I've never seen it with any open-wheel cars (Mercedes F1, F1500T, or the Red Bull cars). Strange that PD would do it here, although I wish they'd bring up the F1500T for this. Then again that would probably be too much originality for them to handle. The SF19s are still pretty fun anyway. Also, a rolling start for the F1500T would ruin one of my favorite things about it, which is being able to launch better than most people in it.Is race C a rolling start? It's amazing how many people think they are entitled to block a faster car only for you to waste your time while trying to pass, and just to see them end last or they just plain quit.Complete A*holes, just because they can't keep up.Almost every race that **** was happening to me. Kyoto Driving Park in particular needs a longer pit-exit line, and they need to actually be enforced.
It always plays out the same way; they un-ghost on the racing line right before the braking zone, right in front of me while I'm still going full speed. I have to dive up the inside at the last moment to avoid plowing them into the gravel, my line is ****ed so I'm slow going through the turn, then they get all impatient and start bumping me from behind because they're on fresh tyres and I'm going slow.
I know when not to fight a faster car, so if someone comes out on fresh tyres and takes the inside line, I'm going to let them go, unless they're objectively slower than me. But if they're going to be an idiot and cut across like that and interfere with my race, they can lose time behind me for all I care, because the only alternative would have ended with at least one of us off the track.

If they are truly blocking you, it's not that easy to pass.If you are so fast, why are you behind them? As the car behind, it is up to you to make a safe pass, not up to them to get out of your way.
I can't speak for all of the splits, but race C was exceptionally messy last week for me. I race from the back a lot on my backup account, and this is how overtaking worked:If you are so fast, why are you behind them? I ended up in a lobby with this German guy...
I made good progress due to chaos, that this guy caused unbeknown to me so I saw no problems with overtaking him on the straight. Well, dirty will be dirty..
Well.... Race B was ok, the first trip around. Got hit twice though by bargers, that gave me a red S and I ended up in a lobby with this German guy...

At least he left with a red A while I had a blue S
I'm in the Merc, he is in the GTR
The names have not been changed to protect the innocent.....
I can't speak for all of the splits, but race C was exceptionally messy last week for me. I race from the back a lot on my backup account, and this is how overtaking worked:
Pass on the outside: driver goes wide and runs you off track.
Pass on the inside: driver turns in to block or hit you.
Pass on a straight: driver veers your way or just rams you.
I can't tell you how many times I've gotten penalties for the above situations. Probably set a personal record for punts in a week.
So whilst I didn't enjoy race C in the slightest, race A was much more enjoyable.
And uh, I may have ended up being matched with Esteban Ocon haha.

It is absolutely up to them to leave space once the attacking car is alongside them. And the general consensus in pretty much every discipline is that a defending car can make one move to choose their line into the following corner, repeatedly weaving to keep the car behind is widely considered a **** thing to do. The sportsmanship videos the game makes you watch point these things out. It is always both cars' responsibility to drive safely..If you are so fast, why are you behind them? As the car behind, it is up to you to make a safe pass, not up to them to get out of your way.
Ha! Contracted to MB in the Manufacturer's Series and wearing Renault kit... makes perfect sense! So whilst I didn't enjoy race C in the slightest, race A was much more enjoyable.

I love this game, but holy crap has "Snow Runner" just sucked my GranTurismo play time down.

Superformula cars is addiction! Just got 2 races, 1/2 2/3 and going to another one, this week Im going to be A rated again
3rd try went weird? Started 7th so took hards, after 4 laps changed on med and was gaining positions, was 4th, but one car on front got to pit so really was 3rd fighting with Greek driver who was on hards for 2nd... And then something weird happend, I made mistake on the turn before pit, spinned car and entered pit backwards, after this my car respawned on starting straight, but worst thing was that it reset my lap!WTF?? Anybody can tell me what was that? Ended race +1 lap
Thanks for explaining this. Soo Mr Yamauchi fix this bugLaguna Seca has had that since they added it to Sport mode. Strange pit glitch that does just reset that while lap. It is a cheap bug but seems to only hit rarely as it is a pretty hard mistake to trigger. But definitely a real salt in the wound kind of penalty.
