Absolutely loving Race A this week, so much fun and really clean for the most part. Has brought my DR from 25k to nearly 29k racing with A/S drivers (I'm a mid-high B) and loving every minute of it.

Was in two races with you last night @sturk0167 The first one you were on poll and were run off track with a few others at the hairpin at the top of the track, I came through and actually held on for the win. The second you started from poll and ran away. I think the racing is getting better as my DR goes up, for the longest time I was low-mid B and so many dirty drivers. Haven't run into many at all this week in Race A.

Don't care for RBR much or the RCZ so havent done many races there. I'm usually a fan of Interlagos but cant seem to keep pace with anything I have in the garage. The Lexus RCF isn't too bad, but just cant keep up with those Atenzas. Might buy one tonight and give it a shot, I enjoy longer races.

Well I have to say Race B for me has been 'brutal' this week!

RCZ's everywhere, punterino'd many times, DR/SR loss, not a fun race.

The Mitsubishi race would be a nice counter except I really despise the Willow Springs track for it's unforgiving brutal final corner and Race C is a tad long at 12 laps though it would probably be my best race but I can't get below the 1:33's so always starting mid pack and we all know how T1/2 at
Interlagos goes.

However next week looks to be better with Gr 4 selection at Suzuka East and Gr 3's at Spa and Gr 4's at Dragon Trail II - Seaside so I will surely attempt to do well at those races.

After 90 sport mode races, I finally got my first win! Daily Race B in my Jeff Gordon Mountain Dew RCZ.

I ran several practice laps with each of the Corvette, Megane, Scirocco, Huracan, and NSX. Their optimal laps were all within a few tenths of each other (Huracan was slightly fastest). Then I ran a few laps with the RCZ....1.5 seconds faster! My best lap was good enough to put me on the pole in my D lobby. I stayed in front all race, had fastest lap, and clean race bonus. Very happy :)

Kudos to the second place car (also in an RCZ), who followed me very close the whole race. There were a few times where he could have nudged me out of the way to get by, but he stayed super clean. I thanked him after the race. The two of us were several seconds ahead of 3rd. He got a track limit penalty on T1 on the last lap so I had some breathing room on the last half-lap to the finish. Very nervous leading up to that!

I decided to have a quick go at race A this morning , I've been worried about losing more DR , but now after reading this thread for a while I'm just concentrating on keeping my SR healthy , after a drop in SR from others colliding with me a while back I am glad to say that three races has me back at 99 with only a 300 ish drop in DR so happy with that for now.

Going to try ace my qualy time with the RCZ and continue racing with the WRX. The speed differential on the straights are crazy but the WRX has good brakes and great turning.

Just can't stand the RCZ.

I love RBR.
This track is amazing. Not much time so done 7 races so far, won 6...
It's a really easy track.

And RCZ is far too OP. Thinking about testing TT Cup.
Is it worth it? Or just impossible to get a <1'37''00

I ran a 1'36'991 qualifying lap last night in the TT Cup. I can't stand the way the RCZ looks and it's way OP so I refuse to use it anymore. There was a pretty quick Mustang in a few of my races last night; I want to try it out but don't actually have it.

In comparison, what's your lap time with the RCZ?

I ran in the low 1'37"xxx in the RCZ qualifying before switching cars. I'm sure if I put in the time today I could get the RCZ below my TT time but frankly, I'm really enjoying the TT and plan to stick with it. It also gives me an excuse when I lose against OP RCZ :)

Congrats!!! That first win feeling is amazing!

I may need to try a different car... My Qualy time isn’t too bad, but my race pace is horrendous... I know it’s me and not the car, but for whatever reason I’ve been struggling in the race a lot, even after putting 10 practice laps before the race (and doing laps in within 2 tenths of each other consistently)... Lost a lot of DR in the last couple of days :(

Would like to try and race in Race C, but my Qualy time isn’t good and I’m afraid my race pace will probably be worst than in Race B

For what it's worth I haven't seen any cars be actually competitive in the B race this week except for the RCZ, the TT, and this one crazy quick guy in a Mustang. I've only put in about a dozen races, so take that with as many grains of salt as you want. A couple Meganes were in the top half of the pack in some of my earlier races but since getting bumped up to B/S rating (finally) it's basically been RCZ city.

Which car are you using in Race B? As others have mentioned, the Megane and Audi TT are RCZ beaters. I am not a fan of them because of the dynamics of driving a front wheel drive car, so that is my personal problem. lol. I have used the WRX, EVO, and Veyron to be "the best of the rest."

Try out Race C by not qualifying. Which should put you near/or at the back of the field. That's what I did for my first attempt. I wanted to get a feel of how the race pace and competition would pan out. From there, you can make the appropriate steps.

Thank you for the feedback... I have been using the RCZ, my Qualy time is 1:36.5, which is placing me in 10th spot in the last races I did... My race pace is usually in the 1:37.XX’s (It seems that I’m struggling a lot, especially on the last corner... Have to be doing something wrong, because I lose all gains to the cars behind me there and get overtaken into the first corner... I’m not aggressively defending either, because I don’t want to ruin someone else’s race)... I will try the Megane (which I haven’t used yet), the Audi didn’t feel great, but I’ve only done a handful of laps with it... Never thought about the Veyron, might be worth a try!

In regards to Race C, and this may be a very silly question... If I have already posted a Qualifying time (1:32.7), how do I try it out “without qualifying”?

You can't.

Good stuff. Sometimes defending (even if it's performed early before the corner) can lead to chaos. lol

I am guessing here, yet are you under-steering excessively out of the final corner (which will kill your exit speed)? Or braking too early to nail the apex (which will make you too slow going into the corner)?

I think you are fast enough for Race C. I am off your qualifying time by two tenths.

I believe that I’m unconsciously braking too early to nail the apex because the times that I’ve tried to do it late (like the guys in the top 10 are doing or where @Mistah_MCA showed in his guide, I ended up missing it completely, under steering and sometimes even getting a penalty because of it.

I will give Race C a chance today, I will give the GTR a try (have tried almost every other car so far with not great results)... The Mazda gave me my best time, but the Beetle felt more consistent across several laps... If the GTR ends up in between, that would be great!

Excellent. Consistency is more important for Race C. Good luck to ya.

I missed the memo that Race B at RBR was a One Make Spec RCZ race… that’s a quick way to blow 800 hard earned DR! ****!

Against better judgement after not partaking in Daily Races for much of the last two weeks: 2 races, -27 SR, 0 actual fouls on my part. So awful.

I believe that the GT Sport Daily Races would be infinitely more enjoyable if they were NA only, like the FIA races. It’s a shame.

Edit/Update: on the bright side, won the second of my “rehabilitation invitational series at Big Willow”. Nice to get a win. But at 6 SR pts a race, sucks to have to run at least five of these just to recover from other people’s stupidity.

Good afternoon friends. Today I did ten c races, this time after putting in qual. I’m proud to say I achieved my intended goal and surpassed 50k dr. Very very clean racing today in the 99 rooms...I just hung around my qual position and outlasted people, in the ‘shark attack’ vette.
With hard work, goals can be achieved...
Cheers
