But you told me that FR cars should have it a bit towards the rear. Is your suggestion of a front bias because of Spa’s layout? Specifically, because most of the turns are low-speed? (E.g. turn 1, and the turn just after the first checkpoint.)

Just putting it out there... To many people worry about BB..

Surly If tyre wear isnt a factor drive the car how you drive. If it oversteers on braking move it to the front. If you need more rotation move it to the rear?

We were talking about changing BB for a race to even out tire wear earlier, in that case what I said was correct. But, it’s just a general rule of thumb, it can vary a bit from car to car.

But when your just doing hot laps, or in a race with no tire wear, the same rules may not always apply. I like the Gr3 Supra better with a bit of forward bias for qualifying, but in a race with tire wear I’d probably have BB at 0 in this car. :)

I see. So I’d probably want the Mazda Roadster’s BB for the FIA race tonight to be at 0 as well, right? I don’t think it oversteers much on braking, either. Maybe +1 or +2, even for a hotlap.

0 to +2 should be fine in the TC, I have mine at +1 I think.

I know. I meant for the 86

The 86 felt good...right up until the point I drove it too hard in the downhill esses & tagged the wall in the last corner of the S. It spun me out facing the wrong direction. And then I clipped the RF into the wall at the CoD. :banghead:

The best bet with this game is to just forget about DR and just go out there and race, you’ll have much more fun that way. :)

I might have to take this advice. I constantly stress about making DR & then proceed to lose it. Mark my words, if I ever get my main account to DR A, I'm retiring it from GTS. ;)

Id need some help, after getting pushed out twice, my SR went down to 85 and I got 2 penalties for hitting sides hard :D

Going for the 99 SR first of all, what race is best for me to go back at it.
I am a SPA fan, but I can't race this week on it and Suzuka seems to be the only one ok...

Loving Daily race A, but cant seem to get around turn 1 or 2 without getting punted off. Did 5 races yesterdsay started no lower than 3rd, but never finished above 8th. Any suggestions on how to get passed turn 1 and 2 on lap one without getting punted and best places for overtaking. I have the pace but just cant find any space to get a clean move done.

Tried Spa again this morning in the VW .. Still started 9th with Quali of 2.19.8 ( DR 19k Sr 95). This guy was in the race though. Watched the replay, he wreaked my lap one couple of others lap 2. Then quit when he got a 3sec pen. 20200520_091658.jpg

There's definitely something about the FF Gr.4 cars that brings out the worst sportsmanship in people, I've seen more punting and side slamming others off already this week than I have in ages.

Raced last night in the NSX, only two others on the grid with RWD, survived the first couple of laps fine, but then tried to squeeze past an RCZ on the exit of the CoD after he'd hit the wall in the middle and was slow, clipped him and the wall and spun myself from about 6th to about 18th. Picked up a lot of places from others fighting amongst themselves, 3 or 4 in one go up the hill after they started bashing at the corner, and then pushed each other off track, and two more at the end of the esses on another lap. Eventually got back up to 8th by the end, right on the line from an RCZ that had served a penalty.

In a RWD car you need to get the overtake done on an FF by the end of the esses really, otherwise they'll almost certainly have the speed to come back past on the straight. Tried some more laps after the race and went faster again in the Aston, so will go back to that for my next race.

Atenza was good at DTReverse. There was a "blocker" in a WRX. As soon as anyone gets a run, there it goes, moving over to block or squeeze. It squeezed me almost into the wall coming out of T1. I avoided and flashed it. Entering beach blanket bingo, it's braking and sailing wide. I avoid again by diving under and tap its bumper. It goes wide and starts flashing lights. Everyone behind, that it blocked, is out for blood.

FInal lap, I'm gone. Everyone(Huracan, TT and RC F), get past and it picked up .5 seconds. Watching the replay, it's flashing everyone that passed it... CLEANLY! Sore loser.

Having manged to keep SR - S on my dailies,
I find myself down to B.

Every time a car side swipes me or punts me I get an SR down.
Not loving Spa. People gave out about Monza but this has been the worst week for me.

You need a good start, so practice that a couple of times. TCS 1 is best, I think.
I'm not such a good starter, would appreciate tips here. Which revs are best?
First race I had TCS off, lol, wheelspin for 3seconds, still won because it was early Monday ;-)

Then, drive more on inside and brake late and into the corner, but not too hard. About 60% brake is enough here.

Still nothing you can do if they really go for it, but might help.

Played two races last night at DTS2. Won one and the second race I was p9 and finished p8. From 22.6k to 25k dr. Good night.

Congrats on the win! You and the Argentinian were way ahead of the rest of us when this was finished (I believe by 11s). lol.

I started 7th in this event, and had a great battle for 3rd place throughout the majority of this race. I was all alone at the end. I believe I had a 7s gap off 4th place.

Question for you - how do you capture and share the entire race? Is it as easy as hitting the Share button before and after the race?

It is. If the race is longer than 15 minutes you will need to change the standard recording time on the PS4.
Then just got share and choose YouTube. I usually do it from the replay though, but it's important to let the whole replay run then.
You can trim the clip before sharing. If you want to edit more you can use Share Factory.

Also to add to that. I have mine to record an hour. Also, be very patient when pressing share. Don’t move to fast. If you do and don’t save, it resets and you lose what you record.

That car is great on tracks with long straights. I loved it on Fujii too.
Good tip... I'm struggling to get consistent times with the GT, (2:20.9 but 2:19.9 'optimal' time target... can't put three sectors together!) my usual Porsche is too slow on the straights there, and the VW is fast but too weird to live with, so was wondering what car might be good to try, after hitting the proverbial wall in an hour's worth of qualifying effort last night. I refuse to even step into an actual race at Spa unless I will start up front at that track, given the experiences I've had before (the SF cars, for example, resulted in the major valleys in both my DR/SR a couple of months ago, around day 45)... I'm not about to go through that again. (the Supra race was equally bad)

I liked it at RBR too, it surprised me how well it did.
It's surprisingly nimble too, BB at 2 and coast through apex and it will turn well.

Up front or way back. Mid pack is rough there. But the SF was so much fun, even if the standing startmade T1 lethal.

I was so disappointed because the SF at that track made for absolutely great racing... when people were cool. As the game goes, that was some of the best. The first few days of it, before the hacks lucked into a decent qualifying time, were splendid. Frantic but clean starts, then the race strung out like a real race, when people settled into their natural pace, and you pretty much earned the finish you deserved. But as the week wore on, it became a showcase for how stupid the former penalty parameters were before the update, and the type of crap behavior of B/S lobbies has become known for.

But I got torpedoed by idiots over and over in the bus stop chicane, no matter how defensive I tried to be. And in Eau Rouge too often (it's not a passing zone, you morons... just get through it with a run and finish the job like a pro at the top of the hill... but: GT Sport online.)

I'd actually like to see it come up again some time later, but hopefully when I am racing with smarter cleaner people.
