oh yay 10 laps nursing the front left and dealing with that atrocious third sector. Pass.
DS4. Still going.Yeah I hear ya. It’s big advantage on wheel on this imo, hence my excitement.
What’s the best BB for the Scirocco Gr.4 @ Fuji Short? +5?
Yeah, I keep getting matched with some insane lobbies - for three of them, I kept being matched with the third-fastest driver in my region. I think one had an A+ driver and two S drivers in the same lobby! I’m only at 33-34k DR, so I’m wondering if it’s just the time of day that I’m racing, the fact that this is day 1 of the new daily races, or what. I don’t wanna stay up all night and wait for everybody to fall asleep, either, but I’m wondering if I keep being matched with these guys because there aren’t enough other people online with my general DR/SR. Or is this just typical for a DR A driver’s lobby? I also wonder if it’s because I’m trying Race B instead of my usual A.+2 is nice. 👍

My time was off the pole by over a second, but on Kudosprime I’ve got a time within the top 200! Is there any end to such madness? Don’t you think I ought to be starting higher with lower door numbers? As it stands, I’ve been usually qualifying in the latter half of the field, like around 10th.
Do you really think it will be able to compete? I picked the fit because, with no BOP, weight is about the same, but the fit has a 25-30% power advantage. I haven't raced anything yet, though. The Mazda has, by far the best handling for race A. The Fit drives like 🤬. Use it for qualifying, if you want. But in the race, the Mazda will pass a lot of Fits in the turns. 👍
When I was racing last night the Mazda and the Fit were fast off the line and down the straights. The Swift was money in the turns and medium speed sections. Mazda might be the best all around option as it seemed to handle like the Swift but had it beat on the straight. Fit was an ugly pig with straight speed but could not figure gears in the turns. Almost all of the turns were in between gears on it.Do you really think it will be able to compete? BTW, I thought the fit handled ok for a POS front driver. Instill need to get another half second out of it.![]()
It won't compete in qualifying. If it has slipstream in the race, the Fit won't get away, then it will out-turn them.Do you really think it will be able to compete? I wonder if it might produce better/cleaner races to just line everyone up by quali time and say go. Let the non-qualifiers get matched by DR. Use SR to gatekeep gr. 3 and faster classes so there's an actual motive to stay clean. You were in the top split for that race then most likely. The game just takes the top A12/B16/C20 drivers available for a given race and puts them in a lobby, then repeats until no ones left. It doesn’t even look at your Q time, it just sees that you’re SR 99, and in you go.

Although, I'm currently in the lower levels, so maybe the people around me just suck.![]()
There’s just not enough people playing at any given time in some regions to make even races all the way down. If you can get one or two guys of similar speed to race with, it’s a good race. I’d rather they focus on how to deal with dirty drivers and penalties.
Plus, being fast doesn't equal a clean driver. I see many daily top 10 boards with A and B SR drivers.
I'm a firm believer sitting drivers over big drops in SR points. I know in the current system many clean drivers get knocked with a letter drop from a race or two all the time, but maybe suspending one's account when they letter drop for a period (48 hours to an entire week) will maybe make some rethink their driving. And go from there with the penalties and suspensions. Though the problem isn't exactly solved or fixed, it goes a bit along with how many auto racing sanctioning bodies penalize drivers.
So perhaps there weren’t enough players with similar DR at that time? (That’s in addition to having everyone get matched by SR first.) That’d explain why I was matched with such high-ranking players...You were in the top split for that race then most likely. Hanging around 24-28k DR for a bit (B) - I’ve seen...Possibly, but once your at DR A, it’s not uncommon to have A+ drivers at the front of the grid. It’s how far the back of the grid drops off that tells the tale, is it all A+/A drivers, is half A half B, Or is it alphabet soup and starts at A+ all the way down to D drivers. During busy times you should be in mostly A filled rooms with a few B’s at your DR. Basically, an FIA race lobby is the ideal of matchmaking during a busy time, use that as the baseline.

Edit: About the 2. It pulls at the start and mid-corner thru the exit. 2nd or 3rd gear will give an advantage if a trajectory is clear of the lagging Fit. The close gears of the Fit, give it RCZ-type acceleration. SO, from the final corners, the 2 is very quick while turning & accelerating. Fit pulls it once its wheels are pointing straight.
Yep.The Mazda has, by far the best handling for race A. The Fit drives like 🤬. Use it for qualifying, if you want. But in the race, the Mazda will pass a lot of Fits in the turns. 👍

Yes. I tried side by side down the straight, in turns and also made up so much time in the 2. Again, once the Fit's wheels are straight, it comes back. Everywhere else, the 2 is faster. That said, I only had 2 laps in the mazda. But in races if us Swifts and Mazdas got out of the final turn with any space the Fit was only just there at turn 1 and people could nail turn 1 and gap it through the twisty bits. Fit seems capable of a bomb here and there as well with its straight line speed so you have to guard that carefully. It is a really fun, if bog slow, race. Might be my home for the week.
I had some quick players in my races. Respectful as well. I hung back, as two Honda's were having a fit during the last lap. The leader was hugging the inside all the way up the final straight before the final turns. P2 just didn't stop earlier. Bumps P1 and I could have gotten in there, but stayed cautious. P2 got the lead, but gave the spot back before the line.It won't compete in qualifying. If it has slipstream in the race, the Fit won't get away, then it will out-turn them.

Also, if you're mixed with higher rank players there's more DR to be earned and less to be lost if you place poorly.Morning! About matchmaking... I think theres bigger fun and satisfaction to be matched with higher rank drivers, races are cleanerAnd for me it doesnt matter if Im batteling for 15th place or for 1st, clean hard racing is award itself
I wish that players in all levels drive like that... Im not so fast to be very long in this lobbies, so by the end of the week be back to bad old punt and run B lobbies
