the last time I remember this combo it was an R92 fest with some of the Hybrids and vision cars doing a no stop not sure what fuel and tire multipliers were at but 1 stopping the R92 was still faster. But that was a long time ago maybe year or more
I was thinking the SRT or an Audi VGT might be the alternative, but I don't care. Group C all day e'er day!

You peeps think the boys back at the PD factory may continue the Race A multiple-car-choice thing? We might get an Italian supercar battle if they do! Perhaps Huracán vs. 458 Italia? Japanese car showdown of a GT-R Nismo vs. Amuse S2000 vs. NSX? :)
It would be nice if there's a car choice among the N600s. They all drive like 🤬, though.
For whatever reason, the brakes are terrible on anything above N400.

My god, I'm not the only one who thinks this? Hallelujah!
Seriously, try to drive the Veneno on that Mission Challenge race at Tokyo for the N1000 cars and tell me that you don't have to brake a million years before the 200 board for literally every corner. At one point I just held the brakes at 25% for the whole lap because I was tired of rubbing the wall . I think PD didn't reeeeally correctly scale the braking power according to N-class, feels like a Veyron has the same brakes as an 86.

I don’t know what it is that makes driving the Scirocco Gr.4 at Fuji so unfun. I hate the understeer, so maybe that’s it. It feels like I can’t get a better time than what I have already because of that damn understeer! Especially on any hard turns, like the hairpin that’s just before the second checkpoint, or those bends before the start/finish straight. I think my time is 1:41.715, which is apparently within the top 300 for my region. Still can’t get any poles/wins, though, but whatever.

Honestly I hate that part of Fuji too, kills the pace and it feels like a slog. Never seem to be quick there either

First race C of the night, qualified 12th.

Lots of 911’s! Fought around that area of pack all race, but lots of fun racing! Finished 12th.

Hope to catch some people out there tonight, goodluck!

I'm just glad I can finally use my Group C collection outside of GT League. Gr.1 is my favorite class but I was getting tired of having to use TS050/R18/919 every time the group came up.

Gonna take all the Group C cars for a spin this week, and some of the VGTs too: the McLaren and the LM55 seem like they should do well. Maybe I'll even pull out the NISMO if I'm in the mood to assault my front wheels and my DR.

I did Daily Race B and I am getting better at FF cars than I was. You do really have to adjust your gas to much later and arc into a corner different, especially w/ TCS 0. It’s oodles of fun, but after driving mostly FR and MR cars, it does get hard to get used to.

2nd race tonight at Barcelona was a blast! Decided to hop in the Atenza this time.

Started 15th, door number 20 (but my DR is divebombing atm) Had some of the most fun racing I’ve had in a daily in a long while!

Great clean back and fourths and just constant excitement. Very clean first few laps for everyone it seemed.

First 2 laps I gave up a few spots from better driving, then gained a few from good racing, and a couple of bumps ahead of me.

Mid race, maybe lap 5, I was p12 had been back and fourth with a R8 for most the race, and he very slightly nipped me in the butt - into sand :( bummer! Was a fun pack I was playing in.

Dropped to last and never caught back up, and didn’t drive particularly well lol. Finished p16 from quitters.

My tires were very grumpy with me around lap 8, thought of pitting!

So I haven't played in several weeks...did they do some sort of major update to how rankings work?

I just ran Race A once...didn't get a clean race but didn't receive any penalties either. I started 6th and finished 2nd.

When I started the race I was B/C. After that race I am now D/D.

I don't get it at all. I haven't been D/D since I first started playing the game.

If your SR gets too low, your DR is reset. Trigger levels are:
  • SR below 30, if your DR is above 50,000 it will be reduced to 50,000 (bottom of DR-A+)
  • SR below 15, DR will be reduced to 20,000 (mid DR-B)
  • SR below 5, DR will be reduced to 7,000 (DR-D)
Every contact with another vehicle may lose you some SR points, regardless of whether or not you get a penalty. It looks like you've dropped your SR to near rock bottom.

Well I dunno.
I went in country earlier once...I had a slight incident lap 2 when the 911’s ahead of me couldn’t stop fighting before the chicane entry...It caused me to have to take a one second track cut so as not to punt anyone. Next lap I served, lost a spot sitting I think fourth...A Mcclaren was chasing...Good driver to wrangle that car around at speed using opposite lock quite a bit. Anyhow I wasn’t at my best pacewise so he was reeling me in.
He’s pretty close into the hairpin off the back straight, and I lockup a little and push deep. Obvious mistake but I’ve done that many times before so I knew how to minimize time loss...
He’s behind and storms across the apex but I’m still well ahead on exit into the left.
Neither of us yielded and his right front touched my left rear a little...I think the vettes pull with tcs in first from my deep line confused him and what he thought was a quick pass turned into an uh oh.
I woulda backed out if I were him but he continued now on the outside into the right hander-the first contact slowed me a bit so I’m hugging tight inside and he turns in very hard and taps me again...
I was not in a good mental state so I opened up the steering a touch and hip checked the Mcclaren wide to the tarmac runoff and continued..He lost about 2 seconds. I went on to hold 4th but I didn’t feel great about it.
Am I sorry though after watching replay ten times? No, imo he was too aggressive and failed to respect my line..
Lol I end with clean race bonus. I was planning to do several runs tonight but that put me off. I’m not about that. I feel a bit bad that I let the car run his way purposely, but it was hard racing I guess...
Anyways Catalunya is a fabulous track.
Goodnight friends.
Edit keep the tunes coming guys. I dig.

Happy to get in some races tonight, and all of them were a joy! 2 Race C’s and 3 race A’s.

Had the most back and fourth battles/good clean battles than I’ve ever had consistently. P4 and P6 were best finishes of the day and my DR is -8000 this week O.O! So it’s been rough in that respect.

Avoided the carnage, and me getting nudged off by accident and a dive bomb were the worst of it, which helps the mentality lol

So, happy to end strong and fun! Looking forward to the dailes in DRWF :)

Just realised fuel won't be a factor next week. Ran the 962. Alone it tops out at 361-363km/h. With a tow(behind an AI Jag), 371-372km/h.

787B:
No tow - 365km/h
Tow - 373km/h

XJR-9:
No tow - 363km/h
Tow - 369km/h

C9:
No tow - 357-359km/h
Tow - 369km/h

R92CP:
No tow - 372km/h!

BUT...

Tow - 372-373km/h

Going to be an interesting one. I guess if you're by yourself, the R92CP is what you want. Probably to gap the new cars.

Jag is a bit heavy thru the first few esses at the start. Thought it'd be much faster with a tow. Same with the C9.

C9 is a bit wilder and tossable. Communicates actually better than the 787B.

962C, I can't call it. Felt like it took a long time to get up to speed on its own. Might struggle to shake the new cars.

787B doesn't have the grunt, even though it has that high terminal speed. Simply ear shattering for that 55seconds at full throttle. All these years and it's still insane.

If it hasn't already been mentioned but given the previous post we have Gr 1 at Circuit De La Sarthe next week for Race C

Full List:

Race A - Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East for N600
Race B - Autdromo de Interlagos for Gr 3
Race C - Circuit de La Sarthe for Gr 1

Finally two tracks where I can qualify well and maybe actually improve!

What about 908? Do you think it can be competetive? Hasnt got as high top speed as C cars, but I think itll be faster in the corners, better aero?

Edit: btw someone in PD is reading this forum, last friday when I asked about wishlist, @Pigems said grC at La Sarthe...
I wish for gr3 Interlagos, and its also here..

I ran a few custom races yesterday with the settings and I got the R92C up to 380 with a partial slip. I had slip from three different cars going down the straight and picked up more and more from each. But man you have to break early with that speed

I don't have a 908, but it's a pretty quick car from when I used one in FIA. In the hands of average players, it might be a safe choice over a TCS-off Group C.

It'll be quicker in the corners, but not sure how much gap it would pull before that 55 seconds and the run to the Penalty Zone. Also, tyre wear. More downforce, more wear?

Curious to see Top speeds of the Audi VGT and SRT. If anyone have those two, please share their findings.

Edit: Shoot! 380?! I was behind one AI car. I'm BOP'd, but couldn't go any faster even while gaining.

So I guess it's time for the ultimate challenge test!

A long time dream that is always shattered is to score wins in the Gr C category cars but reading the posts so far it looks like they will be the go to choice for the coming week's races.

I guess that means it's time for me to finally run my 962 I won from the wheel at long last! Back to the livery editor though as need to do another Racing Miku design!

Been tooling around in race A for a bit this evening. Great races, really close, mostly clean and loads of fun. Had some good Fit drivers getting annoyed with me going past them around the outside of the hairpin in the Mazda. But numbers in this race seem to be rough. Almost night it was 1 A driver, some Bs and Cs and Ds to fill out the field. At prime time (ish) on a friday I guess it says this combo isnt that popular despite how much I am loving it.
Oh well, more fun for me.

I had BOP too. I slingshotted between the three

Edit: the cars I slipstreamed/slingshotted was indeed an Audi VGT,a Hyundai VGT and a McLaren VGT,in that order.

I'm also thinking about B and C for next week, probably not having time enough for practise both on a level good enough to compete... Le Mans in C Group seems very tempting, but I'm not very keen on this circuit so far and Interlagos is my cup of tee especially in Gr. 3. On the other hand, C Group cars have a clear cockpit view in contrast to newer Gr. 1 cars and I highly prefer driving with cockpit view. And the replay with the grid full of these beauties will be nice to watch. Decisions, decisions...

That race was awesome. At least one of those drivers was on a controller and it wasn't an immediate disaster!.

And you'd do well at it, you choose some awesomely fun combinations.
