I'm still wondering about matching players in the daily races lobbies. My last race C I started with door number 13, while having 32k DR A, but there was two DR S players, three DR A+, mostly DR A and two DR B... I was 99 SR, I suppose the others as well (all SR S). If the game matches highest ranked players (all SR99), and there were A+ and B, does it mean there was only about ten DR A SR 99 players playing at the moment in EMEA? Wednesday 18:00 PM? Seems rather impossible...

With this penalty system? I've been matched with SR.S as SR.B in NA in the afternoon. There's hardly anyone left in SR.S

It's probably also a scary combo for most, 6 laps of GR.1 on Sarthe. Nearly half quit before the end of the race as well. You can simply park it at the start and gain 7 positions during the 'race'

In race B I finished 4 with 4 on the vettes door.

Lol colonel BASS drove a vette

Lots of ignorance tonight. First P1 gets a penalty and I make the pass at the end of mulsanne, thought I'd stay on the inside since most line up outside to setup for the next corner. Nope, pinned me right on the wall and clipped wall edge. He says he was giving me room on the outside but replay says no way.

Then I finally catch up from all of that and P2 brakes super early at indianapolis and punt him to the side. I wait it out for what seems like an iternity, and he creams me. Nice. In chat he totally thought it was intentional. lol

Race felt super comfortable though. Have little problems with any areas. Mulsanne corner can be difficult gearing down with wheels turned can get squirrely.

Update: Was checking something on this race and after the crash from P1, they did 1 lap and then stopped till I passed. I thought they wiped out, I noticed the name so I intentionally tried side swiping. woops. I messaged them to show the comradery. Karma for me cause I did the same to P2 and they took me out. Was more obvious though.

I had to cram my fill of daily races into the last 2 days. Not bad. I’ve been finishing above my door number more times than not. And, today seems to be Lexus giveaway day.

And then we get to the prize wheel:

After trying a race C (& failing miserably), I tried the A race. That’s a “no” as well. So, risk race B & certain DR loss? I ventured in & lost DR on my main account, broke even on my team account, & gained on my R4M account. A video of this fun will be up later tonight.

I knew I shouldn't have, but did anyway. Another Race C. How can one race be so good, and the next be so very bad. This last felt bad from the start. Nothing to point a finger at, but felt bad. Until... I'm on the far right going into Porsche. A TS050 on the far left. I'm about at his rear quarter, and slowing considerably more than usual to make the inside stick. He goes sliding off into the sand. How can a car a couple widths away suck my car all the way across the track and into the sand too? While under braking. While holding the wheel to the right. Then, of course, I spin back across the track to lay facing backwards against the wall. But as the fates would have it, since Mr. and Mrs. Fate hate me, I did the same thing 2 laps later, all by myself. In the end, advanced two spots, and lost over 300 DR points.

And just when I was starting to feel pretty good about myself. This mornings race, started 19th, finished 7th.

Let him pass you ...he wil make mistake , i would do so
Couldn't let the player pass when I'm slowing not to hit cars ahead. Also, I slowed down as a car was unghosting, after it served a penalty before the final chicanes. It was the same 787B and hit me from behind.

On the straights, I'm catching penalty servers and it's right like three-wide, someone else taps me to bump draft and J tap the brakes to say, "Stop that!". The 787B comes up and goes around that car, Another car tries to pass on the opposite side and nearly wipes me out!

Player apologized after the race, but I just happened to glance at my rating at top right of the screen and lost it with a reply. Not aimed at the player, but as in how the hell did I drop to that rating?

Awesome. PD ruined the Group C race that I'd been waiting for since these cars were added to the game before I even had a chance to race in it...👍:banghead:
I'm not risking the hit to my SR before tomorrow's FIA races. I could make an alt but I'm not interested in grinding for credits before I can even buy one of these things...
You don't have to grind. You can make an alt right now. Do the Nurburgring Nord Circuit Experience. That'll give you about 450k. Do a couple more CE for the remainder.

If you have the Lewis Hamilton DLC, just do a lap at Monza for 1-2mil. 👍

Just did 3,05.370 QT, my hands are shaking:lol:
I checked kudos 276th in the world:)

Nice. I broke the track record. In a dream last night...

But seriously, good job. How many laps would you say you took to do that? Just curious. I'm trying to better my own time, but am very inconsistent. Hit my all time low of 3:06.72 this morning. But... that's in Arcade TT, with BoP etc., which if I understand, has distinctly different handling characteristics from the actual race Quals. My new practice though is to not qual till Sunday morning after race gains from the back all week, and then get punted numerous times in the first Sunday lap to lose those gains. My DR history looks like a roller coaster.

I didnt count laps, many was restarted:lol: It took me half an hour, between two races C.
I noticed that my first sector was very slow, and Porsche curves, there was where I loose much time...

Edit: I shared replay of lap on my profile if youre interested:cheers:

Just had race with A+ driver on pole, he got 1s penalty for track limit, I passed him after he serves it, was thinking that its only matter of time he catch me, but no, he didnt:) After race he congratulated me, "you let me win" i said, he said: no. You won alone.
Feels good man:lol:

I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were there. :dopey:
I hope I didn't bump you.

Whether it's right or wrong, I will race the people I know differently than I race against strangers. I guess I'm prejudiced in that way. My mindset will be completely different.

Maybe that's some weird psychological stuff, but my friends get to run into my car without any revenge sort of things coming back their way. I usually apologize to them for being in the way.
I agree that racing with friends is different. I think when someone I know is catching me, I usually just crash or run off, so they get by clean.:scared:

The tracks aren't the problem. It's the FF fest it's going to be. TT will rule. Maybe an NSX or WRX will sneak in with a win. I'm using the Skoda Scirocco.
Actually, hold on, wasn't the 650S the car to have? Or was that in an FIA DTS II combo? I know the 86 and 4C were duking it out back then. However, I think the 650S was pretty quick.

The faster you go, the faster lobbies you end up in.
I have run 796 daily races and have 8 wins. I am in the low range but wins are not usually something you get a lot of.

Edit: where are my manners? Welcome among us. You came to the right place!
You give me hope :-)

I have 650-odd races to my name, and only 4 wins. I'm a B DR, not an A, like you, but I'm guessing your win number is likely tied to your gentlemanly style of racing.

I'm DR B too. And yes, my way of driving isn't exactly inflating my win count but that's OK. A clean, hard fight for 3-6 is better than a win on dubious grounds.

I seem to be getting a lot of this when racing from the back this week. I'll be gaining on someone and they'll brake waaay early for the last 2 sets of chicanes, or brake way before the kink leading to the first chicane. I think they're trying to give me a penalty.
As to the talk of dirty air and braking. Think of it this way. The same effect that gives you a boost from the draft (car in front punching a hole in the air) also takes the air off of everything that gives you downforce, hence @RacingGrandpa saying to pull out into clean air. It's not really worse for faster cars, but for cars with more downforce since they loose braking traction AND the "airbrake" effect. BTW, many people think you're trying to go for the inside pass when you do that, and move back in front of you. That can create an accidental punt situation, so beware!
If you're racing from the back I will suggest your real pace is much quicker than the midfield or back markers, and they will usually brake earlier and less consistently.

I'm getting punted up the rear often by quick guys who like racing from the back and haven't qualified. I'm consistent, but more conservative than them. Simple.

I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt when I'm racing without qualifying because they're (likely) slower drivers and probably just braking where they think they need to.
Spot on. Racing from the back of the pack for a challenge. Deal with the inconsistency, or qualify for real.

I'm DR B too. And yes, my way of driving isn't exactly inflating my win count but that's OK. A clean, hard fight for 3-6 is better than a win on dubious grounds.
I like your attitude :-)

i have 1gb fiber internet , 5ms ping and i STILL get disconnected during the loading of races

i freaking cant believe how this game can still have server problems almost 3 years after release , this is becoming gta online level at this point

sorry for the rant but when you have time only for a couple of races max it is a little bit frustrating having to wait half a damn hour

/rant really done this time lol

Daily races are P2P. Disconnects is not necessarily PD's fault.
You have 1 GB fiber, do you have a cable between the PS4 and the router? When was the last time you cleared local data in the game, did a hard restart on the PS4 and the router?

Happy Birthday! It was mine also and on my 3 accounts I got:

Main: MB AMG GT
Alt: Pagani Huayra
Alt alt: Jaguar D-Type

So I just got a track limit penalty, putting my left tires on the inside curb of Dunlop. The guy in front of me put his left tires on the inside curb of Tertre Rouge. I got 1 second, he only got 1/2 sec. Is there some calculation based on the perceived speed through a corner? Or is it the penalty system being it's wonky self.

Beyond that, a decent race. Started 19, finished 9. I have to admit to a retaliation. Watched a driver being a real pain to a couple others ahead of me. Then he side slammed me down the start stretch and forced me wide through the chicane. Surprised I got no penalty for that, as I did cut the second turn. I drafted him down the straight, and to show my appreciation, gave him a love tap bump draft. And the present of that new 1 second. Shame on me I know. But he was a dangerous driver. All over the place. Off track, in the walls, a couple spins. I could have been patient and taken advantage of his mistakes, but they all came after I got by. The wonders of replay showed me.

i can relate , everytime i think i'll get a penalty i dont , when i think i'm ok i'm slapped with a penalty

being fast without getting penalties is tough over here

So far - for me -
any turn with a curb + blue area + bumps can be cut a little bit, but get those tires in before it ends.
ive cut everyone one of these pretty hard without penalties as long as you can get back on track before the blue/curb ends. Everything else is lava, especially white lines.

Edit - blue areas outside curbs might be green... I forget, hope you know what I mean
