It quickly deteriorates at night.

Well this was about 7 pm UK time yesterday evening but I suppose that is technically night but yeah heavy night and good to know the decline is SR is now a common daily race occurrence.

I will see how it goes when I next race but think I will be driving buses this weekend over in Bus Simulator.

I'm back to SR 1. LSP was in that race. He immediately cut corners and rammed people off then started brake checking and ramming as usual. I got past him but the penalty system gave me SR Downs for most of his mid corner brake checks or for ramming me off when I got beside his brake check. Whatever. Back to destruction derby. No point in playing in high SR with a broken penalty system anyway.

Matchmaking is simply terrible nowadays outside prime time and in prime time you still get A+/S to D/S.

It is a problem when your a run of the mill driver like myself and always seem to be starting in the middle of the pack almost guarantees Los of sr and Dr by T2 not good when your trying to improve all round.

OUCH! That was a quick SR loss!

Bus Simulator it is then! Now who wants to guess when I'll come across my first hazard of the shift (broken down car in bus stops with wheelchair passenger etc)? :)

Seriously though with that guy's SR/DR record I'm thinking of a vow of silence...the no of wins against that SR/DR just reeks of "Stand Aside I'm coming through!

I got passed him again in the next race, won with 8 sec lead but only gained 3 SR. Doesn't matter, as long as he's on and matchmaking puts all SR together, no point in even trying to earn SR/DR.

He's a real piece of work, cuts all corners (and gets 4.5 second in ignoring track penalties before even reaching flugplatz) to get ahead and them rams off anyone in front. He gets in first, slows down to start brake checking the field coming back. It's the same MO every race. The penalty zone is all the way at the end and he simply ends his race there like its the finish line. He does stay till the end to watch his handy work.

He's proof reporting is a joke, PD doesn't care and Sony is fine with misbehavior online no matter how bad, as long as you don't curse.

Same thing again next race. Got past him but held up by traffic so he managed to get back in range to punt me. I beat him again before the penalty zone, but he simply enjoys ruining races. Somehow he thinks he's doing well finishing 9th after serving 8 sec in penalties.

With out the means of getting rid of drivers like him even for a short time make it a joke that you have to watch the sportsmanship video and accept the cert before coming online lol.

What I really want to know is how did this Gr. 4 car get tire stickers?
I think the game is sometimes just adding those Michelin stickers. Groundfish did an FIA race the other day in the Nissan Skyline (N300). He just grabbed one with a stock livery and entered. His post-race photo showed those same Michelin stickers were on his tires. :odd:

Had a few good battles in race C finally, though at SRS and DRA (I am a B but being paired with A drivers) I am starting 15th or so, I know I am in trouble when P10 has a Q time a second faster than mine

More than any other track though, this one rewards lapping alone. It is so line dependent that as soon as you are in a battle you bleed time profusely, I gain all of my spots lapping alone in the mid 41s whilst faster drivers fall off the road of slow each other to a crawl fighting.

I cannot understand how the WRX and Atenza guys A) get so much turn in and b) make the tyres last. The M4 for me is far, far easier on tyres than anythign else by miles and miles. Any aussies in the crowd?

He's still there, 12 sec in penalties this time. Can't avoid a corner cutter punter brake checker while driving clean with others on the track. I'll make a compilation later of his driving, should be an interesting reel lol.

The real fault is with PD for encouraging these kind of sad individuals by not taking action, continually mess up the penalty system and reward bad behavior with easier competition and victories.

However I kept him busy so a fellow Canadian could take the win. Go Canada :gtpflag:

2nd place finish next, he finished 6th or rather got timed out in 6th before having to serve his stack of penalties. No penalties for me but still in SR.E from all his bumps. No matter, it's still early so SR.B and SR.E are still matched together. No point in raising SR.

Lol his SR is actually higher than mine atm, he's SR.D. It's so wonderfully broken

I might be getting to him now, passed him early, he slowed down so much he ghosted and I timed speeding up at the right moment to get through. Finished 3rd, penalty free, up to SR.D. He finished 8th back to SR.E. He didn't have anything snarky to say this time, guess he's getting bored of losing. As long as I'm in the race the top is safe and he won't get anywhere. PD can't stop cheaters, I can :)

I finished 2nd in the next race due to penalties from other Brazilians. LSP got timed out in 10th, I'm getting the hang of getting him to slow down so much he ghosts and I can pass. All he had to say is "You lost again" then quickly leave  Yet back to SR.1 thanks to the other Brazilians ramming me off. 2 times 4 sec penalty lol. I wonder when you get DR reset again, I kept the 6K DR after dropping to SR.1 again and again.

6th next, he timed out again. I think that's 8 to zero now, he's persistent. He had 16 sec in penalties this time, took a while to get past.

3 out of 4... just missing last nights Manhattans making me think I was being funny/clever.
The key with CRS is that it was a code. It was intended to be a language you could speak openly and yet only be understood by fellow speakers so that those listening in - and I'm not specifically saying the cops, so you could plan and discuss criminal enterprise without them knowing what you were up to, but... cops.

As it's a code, it needs to be secret... and it's not very secret if you use the whole phrase. The crux is that you omit the rhyming word. It's actually a very basic replacement cypher. You use a rhyming word and turn it into a phrase, then leave out the part that rhymes. Now you have an unrelated word masking the word you mean.

A common example is "use your loaf". It means "use your head". The cypher takes the word "head", finds a rhyming word for it (bread), constructs a common phrase out of it (loaf of bread), then omits the original word to lead "loaf".

Your sentence should thus be "Cadbury's in the cheese may put you present in the airs.", which I think we'll all agree is a pretty good encryption

Second-generation CRS is nuts. That basically does the same thing for the replacement word - so you have a word that's rhyming slang for another word it doesn't rhyme with, which is rhyming slang for another word that it doesn't rhyme with.

Probably the best known of these is "Arris", for arse. Arris = Aristotle = Bottle = Bottle & Glass (pronounced Glarss, because southern England) = Arse.

Like "trouble" means wife, as in "trouble and strife" :)

Are some of you driving the Atenza in Race c ?

I tried it with no Stop. I am not sure it is a good choice ! I sacrificed some pace at the beginning (0.5 sec/lap) tu save tyres but last laps were slow anyway.

Used the Atenza a fair bit today. Able to lap consistently in the 1:40-1:41 range, on a good lap sneaking in to the 1:39.

Whats your break balance? Got mine set at +3 so it helps spare the front tyres.

I decided after last night that it just doesn't run well for me. Left front tire takes a beating and I have trouble breaking free from traffic with it. One stopping the TT has given me the most consistent times and best finishes this week.

Much rather give up a couple of sec for the pit stop and get freshies for the last 5 vs. marbles and/or the inevitable off track adventure.

458 Italia shows some real potential, BB+3 to save the fronts. Fuel burn during the grid loading screen. Power on early exiting the hairpin. If I could only figure out Turns 1 & 2, I'm losing time there but I make it up the rest of the lap.

Yeah I cant make it work. I get in the m4 and its so much easier to hustle. Atenza is just push, push, push. Sounds like crap too.

Try the 'Laren Gr.4, it's probably one of the better ones along the NSX Gr.4. It's what I use, BB +2 and some careful steering and braking and you can make those tyres stay healthy until the end, my strategy is to just use the tow to keep up with the guys in front because I know I have the pace, then outbrake them into turn 1. I had a fantastic race against an A+ / S driver, I'll upload it later. Cheers

Edit: BB +2 NOT -2. Dumb me

Yeah ibgave it whirl bit maybe need to try again. Found it ok, potential there, a bit slow on the straight but worth a try tonight. So much more enjoyable to have so many cars to try, my q time was set in the jag!

Thanks for the answers, I did the quali with it so I took it for the race but it doed not seem the right choice.

I will try other options !

Try the Viper for the quali lap, I set my time in it and I was faster than with the other cars I tried. McLaren is faster over the race though. FR cars really suffer the long corners.

Idk if I'm getting rusty, but my time for Race A is out of the top 500. It's actually barely in the top 700 - is it still good, though? Yesterday, before I improved my time (it was over 59s at the time) I had a door number of 3 and started in 9th. (Though keep in mind that there were some DR B drivers there, and I know the door number gets tricky when there are multiple DR grades between the drivers.) I finished in 6th that race, but I still lost DR. Granted, it was a mere 4 DR, but still - I'm worried that I won't be able to get back up to 35k DR and I'll be stuck at about 33k. What do you think? Maybe 33k is where I'll stabilize.

Did 2 Race A this morning. Recovered the SR I lost in 2 races last night. Although I swear I had much heavier contact this morning. But I'll take it.

Most races I've done this week have been very good. The few aggressive drivers stand out, others are very patient and sporting. Aggressive drivers usually take themselves out down Paddock Hill, just watch out for the re-enter and guard the inside on Druids. Patience has really paid off for me.

I wish (again) that qualifying was different for each car. I want to take the old Mini out but the new Mini QT would put me in trouble.
