This was a fun race, the game says I tried wrecking the leader for the win but fortunately he didn't even notice:

I had a few of those last week at spa. Nice move though .

Also yes 60s for tyre penalty at race C. Also experienced major frame rate drop on the first lap to the point i nearly quit before it thankfully cleared. Never experienced that before in GTS.

Here's my fastest lap so far of 1:15.889 in the Viper versus 1:15.437 in the TT. Both of which I can do about a tenth and a half better.

With the Viper it it slightly faster to get a bit in the sand when starting turning into the second corner because it makes the car slide to the apex quicker. It is quite hard to do this well consistently though but it is fun when done correctly.

It looks like I was worried about nothing.

So, how did my one & only race this week so far turn out?

Race c is a fun one! Good action. I like it.
Lots of cars to try...Tire wear makes the ff vulnerable, you can take their inside, plus the track design makes for great racing. Not much fun to hotlap but great to race...
There’s a lot of possibilities there. The track is really growing on me...

For Big Willow, the Audi is noticeably faster than the VW to me. I ran a 1:15.437 in the Audi with about .16 more possible while only a .853 in the VW with about .21 to gain. I can run a .8 in the Viper and it out accelerates any FF car from the start line.
I may stream last to first challenges in the Viper once I get some more practice.
If you want to experience some quick acceleration, try the WRX - I went from 15th on the grid to 5th by turn 1 in a race yesterday! Just zip up the middle of all the FWDs struggling to get off the line.

It even out-accelerates the Huracan.

Add Megane Trophy to that list. Put TC on 1, wait for the green lights, and leave everyone behind.

Ick
Got caught in a lap 1 bounce around and got punted with the ricochet effect. Dropped to 82 SR for it. Even the lower S lobbies are demo derbies now. Drove super cautious, but when I was massively faster I tried for a pass, got run off track 3 times, lag punted another. It was utter chaos. And they all got blue SR at the end of the race! 1 guy punted 4 separate people, ended with a blue S!:odd:

Just want to get my SR back a touch for tomorrow, but RCZ and TT drivers aren't cooperating. They have the stick my nose in and simply run you off bug right now. Even when I get my inside wheels to the edge of the track.:banghead:

However Willow is still mostly fun. But man can it be frustrating.

Had a good time and fair racing on the 2 race A i was able to sqeeze in yesterday afternoon. Saw @BenRod in the second one, and we had a decent lap and a half together. Always a pleasure to share the track with you, my friend  I hope to get more in today, and pleanty through the week. It is a good combo imo, once you figuer out how to drive the car. Sooooo HEAVY

Hair Yeah!!! \m/

It was a strange afternoon for me yesterday. A couple of races before that one, my wife bursts into the room and exclaims, "I HAVE TO GO TO MOM'S! SHE'S DYING!" Turns out it was a perforated ulcer in her stomach which required emergency surgery. Then, my son and his friend had come back from said friend's house and stood mostly in front of the TV during the last lap whilst I explained what was happening. Driving through the ghosting chaos at the PZ screwed me up into 130R.

Also, the M4 only feels heavy. The BOP has the weight at 85% - 3100lbs. But power is also 85%, so...

Did enjoy a couple of Race A's on my alt and main accounts yesterday... before the masses luck into a better QT and ruin the racing up front with the typical nonsense later in the week. It's really a fun race! The BMW is so linear in performance, with all inputs: throttle, braking, steering... it just changes exactly where you expect it to, and the rear end stays about where you expect it while you can still move it around mid-turn. Forgiving for the most part too, as you can catch it when you over-cook something and simply slow before going wide off the track in most cases.

Pretty fun and rewarding to drive-- and allows faster drivers to stay ahead of others fairly. Can be tricky to pass if the guy ahead of you is not much slower, and if you want to respect 'no contact', which is just fine.

Ran the first one from behind with no QT, which I haven't done much of before, then went on main account and won a race from pole position. May run some more on the alt from behind the pack with no QT, as I suspect it will get a bit out of control with poor sports and too much contact as the week wears on.

Tried to put in a lap for the record at Willow in the Gr4... was surprised that I was only able to struggle to my K' Target, given that my effective K' Speed Rating for Gr4 is propping up my overall rating. I'm missing something-- not sure what it is, but I can usually get under 2% off the top times in Gr4 events, but here I am struggling to achieve that in the Scirocco so far. Will have to work on it some more later, and maybe try the TT.

Not sure I'll even bother with RBR... not my best track and I don't dare race there in this format, where one punting in T1 or "T2" means race over.

Ran three races on my NA alt today to bring my SR up. For me it was clean except once where I got my right front caught on the inside of the right curb T2 and got spat out into a 86.
He flew off and I waited to he returned then promptly put myself off in the final turn. Finished third last.
Next race was much better. Although there where a lot of people engaged in verbal bar fighting pre-race accusing each other of not holding the lines.
Lobby where A+ to C- so no surprise there.
It was fairly clean though, I avoided the little stuff that where and had a clean run from 16 to 4.
Then back to my son's EMEA to repair his SR (that I destroyed yesterday) racing from the back in the 650s.
Apart from one guy in an Alfa who ran off in turn 3/4 and then cut across to get Infront of me, then when I dived inside he turned into me. I guess he forgot his dirty tires because turning into a car in that negative camber corner with dirty tires are only going to push yourself off. So he did, I got a one second penalty and finished 4 spots ahead of him. I did 7 laps on hard before the timing was right to pit.
Good times, good times. Went from SR B to high SR A in one race. Inspite of his shenanigans

Next week’s dailies:

Race A: N200 @ Tokyo Expressway - Central Inner Loop / 4 laps / SH
Race B: GR4 @ Nürburgring Nordschleife / 1 lap / RH
Race C: GR3 @ Bathurst / 9 laps / fuel x2 / tyres x6 / RH

Looks like I'd better get my fill of Willow this week. Next week is looking like all kinds of nope.

Tried all 3 events last night.. not keen on the drive of the beemer in the one make tbh.. was like steering a fridge on roller boots :P
And the other 2 events I like to try and avoid the OP cars for these events, here's my best laps so far..

N400 M3 coupe

Gr3 DBR9 @ RBR

Gr4 GT-R @ Big Willow

Will try some other cars later today @ RBR and Willow but defo done with the one make event for this week!

I had a good first race at Willow along with @PirovacBoy in his Ferrari (I was the other no-qualifier in a TT Cup, a pleasure racing with you). It played out similar to a last car standing race, cars were dropping one after the other, engulfed by the desert and never to be seen again. I went 7M/8H, considered a 2-stop but I wasn't fast enough to make the most of tyres. Finished 8th.

For an A+/A lobby, it was very clean. Maybe the penalty system has finally weeded out some of the 'rubbing is racing' crew and bump passers.

I also wanted to pay my respects to this poor 4C on the final lap.
