So did anyone bother to go back and look at the replay from the last race on Saturday? There was some serious carnage going on behind me that opened the door for @Winnie847 about halfway or so through the first lap. I was hoping I wasn't the cause of it, but based on what I saw, I don't think so. (I could be wrong).

I do have the replay saved if nobody else does and I'll share if anyone wants to go back and look.
 
I totally forgot to upload the replays this week lol, it’s been a busy week at work. I’ll try to get them uploaded tonight, I think I only missed race #3. Sorry about that fellas. :cheers:

I arrived late, and was spectating the Alsase race. I saw @Groundfish get punted hard, and it seemed there was an invisible car that kept ramming @Pigems.

I was in front (thanks to reversing the grid) and as I turned in, it looked like someone tried sticking their nose in as I was turning in and then backed off and that's when the crash behind me happened. I'll look tonight to double check.

After that happened, the next thing I know @Winnie847 is literally blowing by me like I'm standing still. LMAO

haha! I don't remember if I saved the replay or not but it looks like Pigems will have it covered. I do remember it was a pretty crazy view from my perspective. One second I thought I was going to die in a flaming pile of cars...next thing I know I'm in the lead.

I don't really know why, but for some reason I excel at the high downforce cars. When we are blessed with those cars in FIA races, it's the only time I don't mind being in the top split lobby since I can actually keep up with many of the lower-tier aliens. Now, if only I could learn to be that fast in Gr.3 & Gr.4 cars!

He must have been there every race, I crashed in every single race on Saturday, multiple times in some. :lol: It was by far my worst display of racing in a while, hopefully I’ll have better luck next week with the invisible car. :D

Replays are now shared, sorry again for the delay fellas. I only missed race 3, so if anyone has that one and wants to share it, that would be great. They’re tagged GTP and Weeklyraces. :)

They did it about 20-25 years ago. I don't know what track it is. Probably somewhere in Europe.

Sounds interesting.

Another thing to try. Could the A drivers in our group beat me using a GR 3 car while they use a GR 4 car? I'm slower for a reason; bad lines, too slow around corners, etc. Let's assume that is the case, so then even in a GR 4 car, the A driver should still win.

There is another one floating around in virtual land that has a road car, a car similar to a GT3 car, and an F1 car. They start slowest first with a gap between each successive car that theoretically put them at the finish line all at the same time. Its a very cool video, I will see if I can find it.

Dammit, this sounds amazing @golfer07840 @Pigems but I haven't put in a single sport mode lap this week, so I'd be woefully unprepared, especially at the ring :banghead:
I missed last week too, coz I was hooked on Le Mans.

GR1 cars on the 24hr 'Ring track is.. well.. crazy.

In reality, are those types of cars even allowed to race there? I know laps have been done, but I don't know about any actual races.

I wasn’t sure which cars would suite best, so I just brew them all in there. While faster, they’ll be harder to keep on track as well. It would be an interesting experiment none the less. :)
 
A rated driver uses the GR 4 Lexus RF and I use the GR 3 911 RSR. That's a fair fight.

Or potentially same car, but hard vs soft tyres could be a way to do this if the gr3 advantage ends up being too great. I shouldn't really get involved in the discussion though as I won't be racing!
 
I’m gonna do some test laps tonight in different grades of cars to get some lap time differences, I’ll post my findings here once I have them. I’m thinking the original test will be on an oval track to get speed differences, then I’ll repeat the test on a track with more corners to see if the time differences stay roughly the same. :)
 
Ok, initial test results are in, but I’m not exactly sure what to make of them just yet. :lol:

I can tolerate race a this week maybe lol. Will definitely not miss this week tho. Race b and c are great.

I’m not sure, I was thinking about that today, I’ll have to edit the list for next week because half the guys there don’t come out anymore. :)
