I didn’t even realize we filled up, I think I May have forgot to set the room to friends only when I made the bonus room after the first crash. :)
Which is also why there are outsiders (including our 2nd driver from Asia) suddenly charging in...

Great races everyone, 5/9 wins this week for me. Again, held out an anime car until the last race, where the PUG makes its appearance and pretty much shocked some drivers out there.

Cars I used:
Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA) '89 (MX-5 OMR @ Tsukuba, Races 1 & 2, Dark Green Metallic custom colour)
Audi R8 LMS '15 (Gr.3 @ Interlagos, Races 3 & 4, @Tidgney Racing livery by Skinner474, get it here)
Alpine VGT '17 (Gr.1 @ Le Mans, Race 5, Noblex livery by @MrWaflz55, get it here)
Toyota TS050 Hybrid '16 (Gr.1 @ Le Mans, Race 6, 2018 TGR livery by @Scuderia Paul, get it here)
Dodge Challenger R/T '70 (N300 Classic Muscle @ Sardegna Road B, Bonus Race 1, GT League livery by @rallymorten, get it here)
Toyota Tundra TRD Pro '19 (N400 Trucks @ Sardegna Road C II, Bonus Race 2, FailRace livery by yours truly, get it here)
Peugeot RCZ Gr.4 (Gr.4 @ Sardegna Road A, Bonus Race 3, KanColle Suzukaze livery by yuyuko_0418, get it here)

Let's see what I can do next week!

Great races as always in your lobby. Thanks all. That was fun.

Sorry I was so rubbish last night. Race As were fun around Tsukuba and I was just a wee bit of pace off fighting for the front in both. Interlagos I am just way off the pace, both pretty lonely races for me somewhere near the back (nice battling with Sven tho). Le Sarthe I thought would be fun but maybe I was getting too tired? First race I pulled over at Dunlop on lap 2 cos I couldn't control the Jag and knew I was wrecking the race for people behind me, and the second run in the LM55 was going better until I came together with @RZQSPEED at the last curve of lap 2 and ended up in the wall again. I didn't really look at what happened, but I definitely braked way early for Porsche compared to the few cars behind me and it had a pretty bad ripple effect. RZQ tried to pass on the outside and I just got yeeted. Not where I'd have gone for a move, to be honest, but I think my bad line forced it on you.

Was looking forward to classic muscle race, my Corvette got an absolutely godlike launch and I streamed past cars into T1, took a shunt from an unknown source and ended up sideways in the wall again, straight away. I looked over at my bed at that point and it seemed very appealling.

Sorry if I held anyone up, thanks for coming out, big thanks also to @Pigems for hosting, and everyone I had nice battles with while I was still awake enough to drive.

That truck photo. Ha ha.
I think it's safe to say that most of us weren't familiar with those turns. I ran into Sven in that turn (and some other people), then he left the race. Also, at LeMans, I think I screwed up his entry into the first Mulsanne chicane, causing him to overshoot it. Not sure. Didn't save any replays. Sorry if I pissed you off, @Sven Jurgens. :guilty:

Well, at least i wasn't the only problem, I guess. I was definitely pushing it for staying up either way, birdies were singing as I got into bed lol.

i watched you and pigems after I backed out at La Sarthe. Was enjoyable viewing :)

That second LeMans race was a big mess. At one point, I fell back to last place, because of crashing or going off track. I don't remember which. Anyhow, I just backed off the gas and coasted while I was deciding whether to pull over to the side and park it, or wait it out in the pits. Ultimately, I decided to hit the throttle and keep going, and somehow ended up 4th or 5th. Not that I did anything special at all, but there must have been a bunch of carnage at the front. I assume there was a lot of "Rubbin is Racin" up ahead of me.
Me and @Groundfish both drove through the sand to the finish line.

Pretty sure I killed everyone at Porsche. Replay will be worth a gander but as usual forgot to save anything :p

I missed both lemans replays too, I legit missed the first one and then the game crashed just as I was trying to save the second one. I only ended up get 1-4 and the 2nd bonus race for replays. They’re all saved on my YouTube from my perspective but that’s no good for taking photos. :(

No worries! Can't remember if you hit me at Sarthe, I got hit a lot there, but managed to keep the car on the road.

That truck race was too much though, reminded me of trying to race in Forza online. Half the cars were ghosted and I couldn't stay on the road for more than 2 seconds before getting bumped into the wall again. After 5 hits, enough of that.

I did a test with the Porsche 911 on N24 instead, it does seem fuel has been slightly affected in GR.3 as well, a little down in the 911. I wonder if the Vette has better fuel mileage now as that was one of the worst. No time for that now, sun is out!

I got the replay from the 2nd le mans, I'll see if I can figure out how to share it. I didn't save the first one as I never saw anyone, just gaps grow lol.

And later in the day, I did participate in a Raptor VS Tundra event by a Japanese streamer named NiShiKeN with races that last roughly 9-10 minutes in N300 spec trucks across 4 Sardegna layouts. I came 4th in the championship as the lead Tundra driver, missing out on the podium by 1 point to the 3rd placed Raptor driver. Winner is a Raptor covered in Madoka Magica stickers that dominated ala Lewis Hamilton (until now at Austria for the latter), then a Raptor dressed up as a Tundra, and finally rounded off with said 3rd placed Raptor driver.

@sturk0167

Yeah, the second Lemans was the reverse grid. There was carnage all over. At one point there in those esses I was slowed, and I knew the train was coming. Suddenly my radar is all blue! Plus I hit brakes a bit there trying to avoid something which caused chaos behind. I just tried to pull off out of the way, but I am sure I was part of the cause of the mess, like I said before the race, I suck there.
Prior to the main mess I almost punted someone entering one of those slow turns but managed to swerve left and go sideways to avoid contact- almost losing it. Lost my exit which got more cars close... Pretty intense in cockpit view!
Damn I wanted to get by you on the truck race at the end there. We had a bit of a race there early in musclecars also, but I fell back.
I’d personally never driven the Sardegna 2 b one, and only did maybe 4 laps total on Sardegna b....
Interlagos race 2 at the end there I had a photo finish with @Winnie847. Also what happened race 1 I wanted to get by @Pigems real bad because he was in an r8, but he didn’t make a mistake. That was pretty dang good driving under pressure there.
See, what I did there was NOT force a move where there was no opening. If people race that way Interlagos is a fantastic track, but in sport mode people get too impatient and if they are behind they will bump.
Race 2 Interlagos was reverse grid, and that’s the most aggressive I have driven in one of these lobbies in early going. I didnt want to get eaten up by the train. That was a bit aggro.
I was prepped up for race 1 and was thinking wow are these guys tanking their qual...It took until the start of the race when I realized I was in the fifteen, so I pulled out of the way.
Watching the video I saw people were talking about it but I don’t navigate to chat when I am on track so from my perspective I didn’t see the fact that people were trying to point that out.
The fella who managed to defend 1st in that first Tsukuba contest! Wow good job!
Fun racing overall. I think with trucks and a new track no one knows it was actually fun to have some carnage. Plus I like the ‘bonus’ races at the end...People can kinda let off steam that way and keep a sense of humor. I think it’s a great idea to do those!

I went back and looked at the replay on Pigems' live stream. Thankfully, it turns out that I didn't hit you. 👍 I was wondering if I caused you to go though the center of the chicane. Check the live stream replay at 1:40:30 (It's in the Daily Race thread). I got blasted into the wall, too.
In his defense, he just switched from a car with good brakes, to one with not so good brakes. Just a simple racing accident. :) I've done the same thing tons of times. :O

@Pigems, the live stream is a cool idea. I guess it's another way of saving replays, if you forget, or if the system shuts the lobby down.

Yep, I see who it was now  J/k. I had nowhere to go hence hitting you after getting send through the middle.

Now try to analyze what happened in that truck race  The radar was a cloud of overlapping arrows since half the cars were ghosted. I couldn't make any sense out of it.

The 962C is not that much faster without fuel saving since it doesn't need that much saving at all. Did the mileage of the R92CP improve since the update? I couldn't get below 3:30 with fuel saving in that. The Mazda would probably have been a better choice for a no fuel race yet I thought it best to stick with a car of which I knew the braking points to the last cm :) (Hitting them consistently is another challenge )

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope to see everyone out on the track tonight, it’s a good group of races this week :)

For the 3 Bonus Races this week we’ll be going with an American Theme, seeing as it is July 4th weekend and all. Make sure you have either a GT350 or Z28, that’s all the info I’m giving though. ;)

Great batch of races this week but I have my monthly endurance race tonight.

Not sure if I'll make it, goin moms for dinner and I haven't played GTS much since I got F1 2019. Depends when I get home, I could pop in to take last from someone.

I'm sure I'll pop on at some point, but I loathe interlagos and I don't have enough cash for the Red Bull.

Plus the wife wants to go out tonight.

Good thing there’s no Interlagos races this week then. ;)

Race Libby is up now for anyone who wants to warm up/practice before we start, this will be the race lobby at 9pm.

Just want to apologize again for the atrocious driving, and then getting disconnected halfway through the last race... can’t just boot up the game after a few weeks off and expect to be decent. Sorry to everybody involved in my collisions.

I missed the action, fell asleep at 9pm local time, slept till 7am local time, or 3pm to 1am on my old time. Then went for a nice morning jog.

Guess where I am, very quiet here Sunday morning at 7am, where wouldn't it be lol. At least it's possible to jog here, 15c instead of 30c. I could do with some racing now!

Awesome racing by everyone who came out last night!! Thanks for making it another great night fellas!! All 10 replays are now shared in game, they’re tagged GTP and Weeklyraces.

Too deep in Monster Hunter this week, sorry I missed it, should be a bit more active this week.

I was late to the party and only made it for the bonus rounds....but damn those oval races were intense!

Nice racing with you guys, as always.

Thought I'd pose this question here, amongst friends : )

So last night I loaded up one of the top 10 guys for Race C to follow around while I did some qualifying. 2 things struck me:

1. How much wider they are when approaching a turn than I am. Which was a good learning point, I can do that, not a problem.

2. And this is where my question is going to come from; how much smoother they were going around corners. I tried like heck to mimic their width, their line, and their breaking point, and instead, all I did was slide like I was on an icy surface. Yet, they just kept smooth and kept going.

So as a group of faster drivers, I'm asking, how do you go around these corners without sliding so much? I am not a DS4 user, I do have a wheel. Granted it's a G29, so I don't have anything fancy. Maybe it's a brake/gas ratio around the corners? I've often wondered if maybe I'm stepping on the brake too hard, afraid to miss a breaking point. One thing I have noticed since I'm starting to understand brake balance and how it works is that I can brake a little later and I have gotten faster on tracks that I do know (I've been pretty good at Brands Hatch this week, as an example).

Any thoughts? I can upload a video later after work if needed.
