What a frustrating bonus race :( I had quite a comfy gap of ~20 seconds when I lost the rear to avoid a slow car on the racing linein lap 12, spun past pit entry and then got reset back to the start of the lap when I tried to enter the pits again. I then made a whole lap without fuel (still lap 12) and went into the pits again only to be reset to the start of the lap again. So in essence I did lap 12 3 times and lost around 5 minutes :dunce: Thanks, PD...

The Golf races were the best tho, what a fun little nugget 👍 Track limit abuse and dive bombs into T1 were a common sight tho :scared:
 
Great night of racing, thanks again to @Pigems for hosting and coming up with a diabolical bonus race again. Had a bad run spinning out entering pits lap 2, ended up reset on front stretch having to go around again on empty. Sorry to @Qyn as I think my spinning disaster got him. Did manage 3 lap stints though.
 
Actually in 1983 it wasn’t a Golf, although I do love the game. It was a rabbit.


We need to run a few more lobbies, this thing would be sick on many short tracks like Brands Indy Suzuka East etc...
 
Have you seen the shift knob inside the Golf? It's dimpled. :cool:

I got Corkscrewed by @sturk0167. It was awesome. I was already about a minute behind. Just strolling along, saw him in the rear view and the theme to Jaws started to play in my head as I went up the hill to Corkscrew. Next thing I knew I was lost in the dunes. Laughed so hard I had to stop.
 
I don't know who did it, but in the laguna seca race someone wiped out the brake markers on that fast uphill left. Thought I was holding ok till I launched through there and pretty much braked in the turn instead of before it. Oh well. It was all fun anyway.:dopey:

I saw someone habitually driving on the concrete to the left of the entry to the corkscrew instead of following the track :odd:. The replays I'm sure will tell the tail :rolleyes:.

Eh, it caught me out after that even when I knew it wasn't there. Just shows laguna seca is going to challenge me more than I thought. At least the racing I was party to before that was nice and clean, beats most of the daily races I was in the last couple of days
 
I went bit manic in the Golf sorry to whoever I hit, I still haven’t got used to driving it yet.

I quit at LS, I still haven’t found a car in that category that I like around it.

I was close with Raph at the speedway. I should of gone longer on the tyres to save time, was coasting around at 110-120mph on FM6 but he somehow got past me and went 20-30s ahead.
I know I messed up one of the laps not coming into the pits so I was crawling around.

Bathurst was going well until PD spoilt it with the maintenance message, Pigems was right behind me, then I went and put it into the wall :banghead:

Depends on what market you were in. It was a Golf in Australia I believe.

I was having an intense battle with @Qyn . Ever seen two tortoises racing? :lol: I didn't mess around with fuel mapping. Fuel map 1, as soon as auto drive let go, bang it up to 7th, then on the throttle for a few seconds, then off. Rinse and repeat ;). Coast into the corners, then part way round blip the throttle a few times. For some weird reason it felt like the pits kept vanishing. I drive past the pits to finish the first lap, drive past the strait on the opposite side of the track, then coming round the corner ready to pit, and it's gone :eek:! I swear the pit lane was swapping sides!

Just had a few laps run at the lobby settings. 12 laps with no crashes, not used up a boatload of fuel and almost no tire wear. Speed was an issue but whatever. Once I finish the gin I will give it another go. I managed to catch and leapfrog you and @Qyn by doing my 3 lap stints. Was absolute rubbish otherwise. FM6 short shift hard to 7th gear and hold it to 135mph. Draft anything moving at all. Gun it into the last turn on lap 3 and still roll into the pits at over 100mph. After I got lapped at the start with my disaster it was my only hope

Sorry about that, that was me. I was slowing down to make pit road and you came flying by like a bat out of hell :lol:. There was a huge speed difference between us. I saved the replay because I didn't know what happened, all I saw was you spinning in front of me. Sorry it ruined your race. I did the same thing on the last lap when I had a run on third and had to lift and spun. Regarding trying to enter the pits. The same thing happened to me awhile back during an endurance race we were running at Spa. After the third time of being reset I had to quit and watch the rest of the race because a lap around Spa with no fuel takes a very long time.

I didn't think I was going to be able to make the lobby tonight, but got out of work early. I was hoping to get a Laguna race in. At least I made the bonus. @Pigems I like these oddball races you keep coming up with, breaks up the monotony of the dailies. Keep up the good work.
 
All replays are now shared and tagged GTP and TPC. Thanks again for coming out last night fellas and sorry about us being cut short by the maintenance. They should do that stuff on other nights of the week! :lol: :cheers:
