I have a suggestion - how about we ban idiots with no self esteem, who can't follow the simplest of rules, can't show the slightest bit of respect for someone who donates his time and money to provide this forum, and who insist on being disruptive without once ever managing to contribute something worthwhile?

mayorbill had posted another whiny complaint suggesting that GTP should stop being "PC [censored]" and how GTP should allow links to any site. He also took yet another shot at the existence of the swear filter. One of the mods deleted it, and substituted the words you quoted.

My post unfortunately doesn't make a lot of sense without his to precede it.
 
Unless I'm misunderstanding you completely, my other posts were directed at Mayorbill11 and the quote above was also directed at mayorbill.

Who said I'm angry at all, let alone "incredibly angry"? And 3 or 4 times? Is that lame compared to the caliber of mayorbill's usual posts?

Feel free to think I'm lame, if you enjoy the kind of idiotic stuff that seems (IMHO) to drag down forums like this one. I try to contribute thoughtful posts that add something to each thread. I have low tolerance for people who try to not do that, but instead work to disrupt and antagonize people - and for no better reason than that it is possible. Jordan has made clear rules that are suitable for a large, public, all-ages forum that wants to focus on quality and community. mayorbill11 seems to have a problem with that, for whatever reason. No one is forcing him to come here. If it's that big a problem for him, he should just go away permanently and hang out at MistaX's immaturity-fest. If it's not, then he should shut up about it and get on with his tender young life.

I don't have a problem with you, sn00p. I even said that I thought Maddox's site was kind of funny. However, I do think it's pretty pathetic that he doesn't have the nads to take the shots he's so proud of himself for giving to other people.

Again, if you think I'm angry, you're mistaken. That doesn't mean that I have to happily tolerate complete idiots, though.

I understand that. I was trying to explain to you that the quote you were attributing to mayorbill - and questioning about why he had said it - was actually written by a moderator, who had removed mayorbill's original post and substituted the words you quoted.

You've made a few strong points there, concerning the community. And I totally respect them.

I guess now I'm supposed to say "although", "but" or "on the other hand". But I'm not, we both have our diffirent opinions and interpretations on/of Maddox's site and I don't think there's anything we can do about it. Cheers.

I'm well aware of that. I know he was spelling inane. I saw the section with the emails containing various messages about Maddox' misspelling of insane. That's why I made my post. ;)

Yes, I have seen this, and I've worked with people that post up the art. "Low brow humor" sums it up, quite well.
