It just crapped out on me... Not a usual one either. It looked like source code....

Yep, I was notified...time to look into it! :grumpy:

Hmm. I was on about an hour before your post until a ways after. The only problem I had was an unusually long time to post, but that has been happening more than usual lately.

I had an error right at 5:45, at the same time as Keller and TuneRVisioN.

Seeing as how this thread is still, kind of, new...

I've had two database errors in the last hour - and I was kicked out both times.

I hope this isn't the beginning of a massive server meltdown like it was a while back... :nervous:

Anyway, just FYI Jordan. :)

Same here ferrari_chris. I just had like 9 database errors this past hour, and GTP is really moving slow. Anyone else expieriencing this?

EDIT: Look at how many people got kicked off.

Well, something just happened. I was viewing the premium forum when I got database errors here and on the homepage. It was down for like a minute, and when I came back there were just 4 members including myself viewing.

Yep, I've been receiving the notifications...it looks like trouble is brewing again, but hopefully I'll be able to prevent any massive meltdowns this time.

I'll probably post that its good for me... Then It'll go bad in an hour or so. :dopey:

Its good.

Guess what's back again!

Yeah, it went down about 5 minutes ago and I couldn't get on until now. The error was user_max_connections or something. Gallery and homepage said the same thing.

Holy Toledo Jordon, trouble is a brewing you say! Quick, to the GTP-mobile, we've got ourselves connections to correct!

All right, done with that bit. I just got some not to long ago as well for about 5 minutes. Still posted the big thread I had typed up, which is nice at least. Hope you get things worked out without too much animal sacr... erm, trouble :sly:

I've not seen any error messages, but the site has been somewhat slow at times today. Most worrying though, I appear to have lost an image I had attached to a post in the GTA subforum last week.

Edit: Typical. No sooner do I report a lack of database errors than I get a few. Luckily I had the forethought to copy my quick reply text to the clipboard while it was taking forever to post.

As people have been saying, GTP has been randomly slow then fast all day. I must honestly say that it's not been this bad for a very long time...

I got kicked out for about 10 mins and couldn't get into GTP at all. Then when it came back up, I was unable to log in. It would say I was logged in on the second screen, but return to the thread and I was logged out.

This was all about 24hrs ago. :S

I had a short database error, and then it took 2 minutes for a quick reply, making me double-post, then giving me a message that it's a duplicate after trying to post it a third time, then it took another 5 minutes to search and load this thread.

We should count ourselves lucky;

brickish.org
Northstar, the hosts of the brickish.org web site suffered a major system failure at approx 2am on Monday morning which resulted in the whole of the Brickish Association web site being unavailable for 36 hours. The disk storage subsystem failed for one of their production database servers meaning we lost our entire web site database. This issue also affected many other Northstar clients

This system failure has affected over 200 sites with brickish.org losing all data since the last backup some six months ago, but even they were lucky. One site no longer exists due to the crash!

Hopefully Jordan has systems in place to protect against such a catastrophic failure.

I would, if only you guys would buy more Premium subscriptions! :p

I just had my first ever database error. I got on, and the page said database error. I refreshed and it said the site was beign reconstructed. This lasted for about 30 seconds.

Oop, just got a database error. Nothing about the site being “reconstructed” though.

So of us are working on it :p

I got a DB error last night, and some posts are taking their sweet time to update onto the site.

Imagine what would happen if the site went down... all those souls liberated to spend time outside :dopey:
