As a DLC pack, crap. But, I'm glad they at least added the F12 finally. What is it with FH DLC? Just giving us 90% of cars we had in F4. Methinks this is effing lazy.....Forza 4 had amazing car packs.

In their defence, seeing as how the Raptor's a seventh, extra car, I wouldn't really consider it in regards to the pack price. It's just an in-game ad for another XBox game.

The 458's definitely the best looking current Ferrari (that profile!), but they've really set the bar low for themselves. A decade ago we had the 360, 456, and 575, with only the Enzo really mucking things up. Now? California lard-arse syndrome, the happy, toothy grin of the FF, or the inadvertent sex-ed diagram that is the back of the F12.

I'll admit that there are some classic Ferraris that are better looking than the 458. But, I meant in recent history, they've all been rather...ugly compared to the 458. And, to be honest, If I could afford a Ferrari, there are probably only 4 or 5 I'd have in my garage because the rest of the ones I'd want are WAY too expensive. But the first I'd buy would be the 458. The F12, in my opinion, is the inbred love-child of the SRT Viper and the Ferrari FF. Definitely not Ferrari's best "effort" if you can call splashing some FF styling cues on the Viper body effort. I'd actually rather have the Viper with the Ferrari V12. Even a Ferrari V8-powered Viper would be better than the F12. Just my opinion. I know it's blasphamous in the automotive world to call any Ferrari ugly, but hey, if every actor in hollywood HAS to star in at least one TERRIBLE movie, every car maker has to make at least one TERRIBLE car. But, it;s because of those failures that we have cars like the 458.

To me the best cars in this pack are the AMC, Hummer and maybe the Aston...but...I like Astons.
Again with this Viper nonsense.

The rest of what you posted shows everyone you seem to have absolutely no clue of Ferrari beyond whatever it is you've dreamed up. This is far, far, far from Ferrari's worst effort. But, I have a feeling you're much too young to have known the era of dreadful Ferraris.

The car itself certainly isn't the prettiest Ferrari, but like all things from the manufacturer, it still amends to the rule of "form follows function".

This is simple appalling....and people were trying to defend the developers (more likely the publisher) that they were not trying to rip you off when the season pass was excessively priced. Looks at the DLC man....most of the cars are simple Forza 4 imports or have slight model changes. Oh and someone please tell me why the **** us this called IGN pack. Is there some sponsorship, advertising???? I know xbox does advertise IGN but am I the only who is confused by this. I dont see other developers naming DLC packs after companies (unless its a racing label).

I have the season pass, so I'm looking forward to the new content. I'm excited about all the cars except the Raptor. I love using the regular Raptor in Forza, but having another one with just a stupid vinyl job is just a waste of space.

I bought the season pass. I can see how this upsets people but I'm in a "shut up and take my money" relationship with Forza.

🤬?!

The F12 is nice and all, but the rest? Rehashes, and rehashes that had their tops removed. This is real bad DLC, GT5-bad.
I wish I had held out on purchasing the Season Pass but given the track record for DLC with Forza I had very little reason to think otherwise.

Needless to say, I will not make the same mistake twice.
Agreed. Not gonna fall for that again.

I'm not bothered by the dlc packs partly because I have the season pass, but I only bought it because I won a $50 gift card to game stop and had nothing else to buy but MSP. Then when I got the points I had nothing to spend them on so I bought the pass lol. No impact to me

What on Earth are you babbling about?

Lucky you! I just want my 50 bucks back

Looks like another pack I am not buying... mostly rehashed cars or slight differences.. I will pass on this one just as I passed on the last one :yuck:

I understand some of you are unhappy with the the DLC's so far, we all want this and want that. FH will have many DLC's to come it is still early and I have enjoyed some of the cars in that past DLC. I'm a Ford guy so getting the Boss 302, Shelby 1000, and now add the Halo Raptor ( love Halo) and the Ford GTX. So to each his own and you never know you may enjoy driving one of these DLC cars. We can complain all we want here but if your not happy go to the FM forum and post in there what you want don't bitch about it just ask you never know. We also don't know all the in's and out's on what license contracts are they getting. The auto manufactureres could be the ones holding out on us.

Theres nothing worthwhile about these packs so far. A Raptor that has a paintjob.. really? are they so lazy that they added a car that they had to do nothing else to other then paint it? Also, again a car in game that is just a drop top version of it. They are getting ridiculous.. 2 packs in and I'm already willing to sell my game.

To be fair the raptor, which I agree is stupid, is a 7th car compared to the normal 6. Sort of a bonus as it were.

ah didnt know that, either way I still stand by the what I said about these packs are lacking. FM4 packs is what kept me coming back month after month, and the sheer amount of cars to tune. Driven all the cars in Horizon so far, and the packs are pushing me away rather then pulling me in.

Yeah, I don't have much opinion because it doesn't really affect me because I essentially got the season pass for free. If I had to pay to get these I might be a little more torqued.

In all honesty, if the rally pack isn't quite a bit better than what we've gotten so far, I'll be trading FH in. Instantly. I might, at least, get some of the cash I invested back. Let's just hope that PG is going to use the rally pack as a saving grace.

What's getting to me the most is that T10 should be very well informed about what's going. And they're seemingly doing a big, fat nothing about that. Doesn't seem to bode well for the future of the Forza franchise. It's the first time I'm actually properly disappointed by something with the Forza name on it. Season pass for FM4? Well worth it - and that's why I got it for FH, as well.

Don't the guys at T10/PG/MS realize that those business practices are going to ruin the reputation Forza had? Yeah, it's a seperate game and all. Put it's the same publisher - and even the same developer is somewhat involved.

"What is everyone's thoughts on it?"

Lame. Those people are nothing but penny pinching greedy d bags. It may be a bit much if we expected 100% of what FM4 had, but the way they chopped the car list to make a buck is a joke. FM4 DLC was cool because most of the stuff was fresh. It was something to look forward to every month. Not having DLC tracks to a poor track list is just lazy, but that is another story.

If any of you support this DLC then good for you and enjoy it, but please open your eyes to what is going on. Hopefully in the future we can progress much more quicker by not opening our wallets to their tactics and maybe they realize that they need to hire real people that are on point and have passion and a backbone.

Think about it this way, would you rather have them spending time making better dlc in Horizon? Or them spending more of their time developing FM5... The game that we're all really waiting for?

That's a poor way to look at it, and I'll explain why:

Take a look at FM4's DLC each month. It was, usually, almost all new cars to the series, with one or two facelifted versions of cars already in the game. It was fresh, and the strength of that DLC is an oft-quoted reason that many people bought the Season Pass for FH.

Yet we've had mostly decapitated current cars, or straight FM4 ports, so far. It's pretty disheartening, but it could be handled far differently. If they were actually working on new car models, not stripping out FM4 cars only to re-sell them to us, that would be developing content for FM5. It'd be more exciting, interesting DLC for FH, and we could also look forward to them being in the next Motorsports title.

I'd be less annoyed about all this if the shipping day car list wasn't so monumentally weak compared to FM4. Yes, we knew we'd be getting a cut-down list, and obviously all the race cars would be cut (oh wait, unless they have a prancing horse on the front), but there were talks of 200-ish cars, which required almost no extra work over including 400 cars. All of the assets were already made and available to Playground games; the fact they intentionally cut them out to sell them back to us leaves a sour taste in my mouth for what might come for FM5's DLC.

I almost gave my copy to my girlfriend's brother for Christmas. Depending on the rally expansion, I might follow Luminis' lead and trade it in. The problem with that being the people in charge won't ever see that; they already got my money.

I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense I'm just trying to be the only optimist here

That doesn't make much sense, though. T10 are the ones developing FM5, Playground Games are the ones running Horizon.

They've got two options, in my opinion:

Make crappy DLC and sell it at a low price. Or make good DLC and sell it at the current price. Put crappy DLC at the current price is a slap in the face. Especially to the Forza faithfuls who purchased the Season Pass due to their previous experiences and to support the Forza franchise.

Also, in case you're not remembering this little, yet important bit: Turn 10 is developing Forza 5. Not Playground Games. As such, the development of Forza Motorsport 5 is in no way a suitable excuse for this bull****ty rip-off of a DLC.

And I agree with SlipZtrEm: I wish I was at least able to vote with my wallet. But I'm not. All that's left is to suck it up and make sure to not fall for that stuff again. Which means: No FM5 preorder, no FM5 LCE, no FM5 season pass for me. It's a shame that I've got no other way to break it to Microsoft, Playground Games and, to a lesser degree, probably, Turn 10 than that. It's a shame to 'hurt' the Motorsort franchise over the rip-off DLC Horizon came with, but if that's the only option I got, I'll be using it.

Considering how much money I blew on it, it's a darn shame to be trading FH in, but what's a guy gonna do? I at least won't have to look at the whole mess anymore. And if I can recoup 20 bucks while doing so, so be it.

You know, I've been with Forza throughout all of the current generation. 2, 3, 4. Got the LCEs for 3 and 4, even preordered them. Got all the DLC for 3 and most of it (and the Season Pass) for 4. It's all been quite expensive - but it always felt like it was worthwhile. As for Horizon, I've been incredibly positive about it. And I genuinly like it, despite a lot of its shortcomings. But this whole DLC mess is ensured that I'll be thinking twice about ever shelling out for that sort of stuff again.

Seeing such DLC packs really kills my excitement for FH, even now. While playing FM4, I would be eager to get my hands on the newest DLC cars. RIght now, I can't even be bothered to turn off Dark Souls in order to download the upcoming DLC pack.

For all I know, I could very well be on my own with this. But if that isn't the case, well, MS, T10 and the FM franchise will notice it when FM5 comes around. Let's hope that it's gonna be a wake up call for them to not repeat it all over again.

I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense I'm just trying to be the only optimist here
I'm sorry, but there's a difference between being an optimist and being in denial. I mean no offense, but it sure seems like the latter is the case.

I understand being upset about this DLC. But why trade in the game itself? Just wondering.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset this game has only been out since Oct. This game yes is supported by T10 Forza engine but developed and run by PG and new company. FM4 had a great selection of cars to start with and DLC through out because it had proven it self to us gamers, sponsors and car manufacturers to agree on more cars in the game. FH is a new game with a new company and still has to prove it self and if it does well, look for FH2 to be better. We are seeing same cars from FM4 because T10 must have an agreement to extend some over to FH who knows. I say calm down you already bought the game and see it through it may get better.
