we all know what cars are in this and what tracks, there are not going to be any great suprises, "fine tuning" well, my buddy who you all laugh at, who is a CEO in distribution comapny and knows programmers and people who work with poly, I talked to him tonight, and he is actually friends with a programer who he knows and is from the states and works in japan, he said, the game is complete, there are no real big suprises, that haven't been mentioned and HE ALSO SAID, word of mouth, there are buisness reasons for the delay, a few being Halo and GTA, If you don't believe that I don't care. I said this 2 weeks ago and felt like crap people were calling me a canadian idiot

I doubt that. It would be like 50 + 48. I believe 90 is the exact number or close, dont forget, Kaz said tracks from past gt's would be in and there are alot of them in the series

Still doesn't make any sense. GT4, GTA, and Halo are in three different game genres. Hell, one of them's on a different system entirely. Fact is, Sony will make more money in the week before Christmas than they would in the month afterwards, if it's not realeased until after the holidays.

And you need to get off the Canadian thing.. we're skeptical of news because there's nothing to back it up, not because you're Canadian. Jeez. I'd laugh at the Pope if he told me GT4 was delayed, if he didn't have anything to back it up.

If the size of the game is the cause of the delay, that points to a production/manufacturing problem. In which case, there may well be no delay outside of Japan. American games are made in America, not Japan. Those production issues may not have any bearing on the release here.

this is my thoughts why the game is being delayed, maybe because there is some special concept car on the game that would be unvailed at an auto show, but the auto show was delayed, so they might get in big trouble for releaing the game before the car was unvailed at the car show.

here is what my friend Chris said, and tomorrow I am going to ask him to post with proof, I am not sure if he will, but.... anyway, there are factories which company and produce dvds. now.. games and movies use these plants. he told me there are six major plants in the us, that us!!!!!! and Canadian games are produced at. He also told me that... games like need for speed.. Gta.. book time in advance for production. and also he told me even movies like I ROBOT booked time in advance to produce.. WHAT POLY TOLD HIM, was they didn't book time and waited till they were done, they were having issues with online, but thats not all!!! they were also having programing issues So they did finsh the game, but they are having problems with production, tomorrow, I plan to get him to post and am goign to find a way to verify to you that this is true, cause I know it is, I know him very well he plays in a band I play in , and He is a ceo in a distrubition company, he actually told me thisw crap a while ago and I go fn flamed for it

I think it's fair to say PD made this game too big. At best, this game will be replaced by GT5 in just two years after it is finally released. Unless PD plans to take 3.5 years to make GT5, then we're all screwed. Again.

And we've been over the reasons for that... If you tell someone something they don't want to hear, they're not going to believe you, plain and simple.

I think we may be talking about two different things here, though... What you're describing is the North American release.. the news from SCEJ was talking about the Japanese release, which isn't manufactured here. It's possible they may be dealing with the same problem, but they haven't given us enough information.

I'd be curious to hear the rest of it, though.

Plus, do the Japanese celebrate Christmas, really? Is it a consumer fest like it is here in the US? I always thought it wasn't despite hearing they have an Anual Gift Man, who lives on the Moon (Simpson's). I also heard their big gift buying holiday season is sometime in March or April, or something like that. Anyone got a clue?

Honestly, they have not changed a date on the gren turismo resorts, so we'll have to wait till tommorow to see whats up, unless someone officialy calls us and tells us that the game has been delayed we got nothing to worry about.
