Delay for UK?

Well fair enough for delaying it until the 5th but I still don't know why I won't be getting it until the 9th-11th-thanks Amazon.

because the 5th is a Friday and if they don't get it dispatched on that day ( amazon will be busy due to the xbox kinect being released aswel as gt5 !) there is every possibility that it won't be collected by royal mail until Saturday evening, both Saturday and Sunday are not business days so your delivery estimate actually starts on the first business day which is Monday the 8th.
 
The only reason Amazon say 9th-11th November is because you've probably chosen Super Save Delivery. I have chosen expedited and they estimate 4-5th November.
 
Ok maybe it wasnt 26th but it was 20 something,bear in mind this is what the man in the shop read of his computer screen.
The website which is .co.uk has a realistic date.

now if european release still : 3 november, only the UK release date is 5 november...

yhan I think UK gamers are paying the price of their games being cheaper to export to the rest of europe...a marketing decision to maximize profits : gamers who could not wait will be forced to buy the game at full price : 70 europs ! (couch !) and not 50 euros...

but if the delay is european, than thats something else...

but it is clear all those decisions are due to marketing issues not development issues, the game will be already finished in 15 october 2010...(at least 2 weeks before release the game will pass Gold) maybe NOW the beta build is already finished and polyphony are simply debugging the game...

This is actually a very, very good point. And would explain everything.

No wonder sony isn't saying anything! Even the official UK website states "november 3" not "from" as announced at gamescom.

Don't know if this is covered by the competition laws but sony better be careful! I don't want another delay.
 
No real bother for me, I quite like the idea of Friday as it will mean I will save money that night, instead of going out and getting smashed all weekend, I will be too excited for the game! :)

If that is true, i have successfully jumped 2 days BACK in time.
 
Ok so the release date is now the 5th, according to Amazon. However, Amazon uk do not do a release date delivery, so it likely won't get delivered until the 9th, as that is the monday. Which means I won't actually recieve the game until the 12th when I have a chance to travel home from uni. Great. :guilty:

They do do release day delivery at amazon uk but it costs £2 extra.

I saw that, but they also just insert Gt today. So they may change it?! At least i hope.

My SE is still on the 3rd on amazon.fr. I should get it the 4th :scared:👍 I hope so
 
Wow also just seen that it will be released on november 5th in germany... That suck´s... So I won´t take a look in here from november 1st (Yeah I think a few people will get it earlier) to 5th... If I can stand it :D
