So played some of the game earlier today. It appears to be more streamlined and quicker. Format will take some getting used to.

Edit: pro tip, always take the spark as you get massive points for just taking it

Lol, same here.

Haven't fired up Destiny in some time, but it looks like I'll be doing it soon to try out this new update.
 
Finally got around to playing the update tonight.

Everything feels completely different, from the way each individual gun handles, to the overall pace of the game. It'll certainly take some time to get used to it.

On a side note, will the new expansion bring another round of PS4 exclusives? I have both systems (PS4 and Xbone) and am on the fence on whether I want to continue playing on the Xbox or start over on the PS4.

Something about the lighting, or the graphics in general, feel different.

Or that could just be because I haven't played in so long, but it just felt odd to me.

I'm also enjoying the fact that all Year one Exotic armor and weapons are available. What I also enjoyed is that I had a Bad JuJu bounty pending, and when I went in after the update, the gunsmith just handed it to me for free. I should have kept my Thorn bounty as well :lol: but that's not so much a problem anyways, as I can just purchase it now.

It looks better, but at some points the AA seems off. Still, I'm not saying anything bad about it, it looks good.
 
Well, it is basically destiny 2 in every way, so that makes sense. Plus it explains the giant download.
 
Funny that a warlock can reach 170 light but Titans cannot. Also, that class item quest is a nightmare for the factions.
 
Shaders where always a glorious prize to me when I got a new one, but now that we can see them all the illusion is somewhat lost. Even more so, most of them are damn ugly :lol:

Unless I'm mistaken they're only able to be bought if you have had the weapon. I believe the exotic bounty weapon's may be different.

From what I'm seeing, the only thing I'm missing is the Glimmer. I dont have most exotics, but they seem to all be purchasable.

On the other hand, The DLC exotics I can only purchase ones that I've actually owned. I can't even see the ones that I haven't.

That's what originally confused me. I'm going to test it out today though, and see what happens when i get enough Glimmer.

What in the world made this a 17GB patch? It took about a day for mine to download...

No but seriously, it has, so far, exceeded my expectations by two times. The cut-scenes are awesome, the story makes sense, Cayde is brilliant, the Ghost has good lines, being excited to find blues is astonishing, the new leveling system is rewarding, the new loot system is rewarding, the new weapon balance is mostly effective, the dreadnought is creepy and full of puzzles, and the new enemies are interesting. Nothing has yet managed to piss me off either. Over all, I need to play more of it, but I promised a friend that we would complete the story together and he had to go to work.

I just came back home from work to find out my PS4 had shut itself down midway through the update, 7/17GB downloaded, 13 hours left.:mad::mad:

Unlucky. My download took a total of 30 hours though and it never stopped.
 
Will be getting my copy later today. Hoping to snag collectors but most likely will be legendary.
 
I didn't bother with either of those packs. I have no money though, so that makes sense.
 
Is it just me, or the leveling up to 40 is way too fast? Nothing really changed – you level up fast to the soft cap and then go for the light levels.

Other than that I like the other stuff a lot.
