I'll do nightfall in about 2 hours. I have a mic. I also want to get further in my quest for the exotic bounty but I can't get a 1-1 ratio in K/D to advance at all in the crucible.

I had a lot of fun with our group yesterday, and we worked well together with a few laughs along the way.

I definitely feel I had the most difficult getting to grips with the raid, not to mention the jumping around. Thanks for being patient with me as it must have been annoying.

Looking forward to completing it, although it maybe a bit tricky organising part two.

Should be on then but maybe already doing depending on when @Bonio71 wants to start but I'd prefer earlier tbh.

Is that for the shotgun? Pretty sure my brother also had that exotic bounty. He just went into the mp with a friend and they stayed together and killed anyone that came around. I believe assists also count toward that bounty.

It's the one that requires 500 points of void damage. 5 points per kill, -2 per death. Essentially you need to have a 1/1 ratio consistently to guarantee any progress.

Learn where the heavy ammo spawns are and stay away from the fight until it drops, grab it and go on a rampage.

Assists don't count towards it last I checked. Need to have void damage. Bigger issue is that with my character, I have to use the defensive super, because that's the only way I can get void melee kills. Another issue is that no primary weapon has void damage, so I can only use a shotgun (killed by anyone approaching or sniping) or a sniper. Or wait for heavy and hope to not die repeatedly before getting it.
 
Just got a decent headset so once I have some tasty and levelled weapons I'm up for nightfalls and raids.
 
I play at strange hours and often can't be on longer than 45mins a session - but I have a 28 warlock and 11 titan and you guys can add me on PSN if you want. PSN = SoCaLLbeer - just put GTP or something so I know it was from here.

Have a mic, always down to help with anything, attempt the nightfall, strikes, patrol, or mess around in the crucible if I am on and have the time.

Still working on the PVP part of the Thorn bounty.. doing better using Voidwalker warlock with void shotgun http://destiny.gamepedia.com/Two_for_the_Road and a void rocket launcher. Two for the Road is a one shot kill from close range.. just gotta be faster on the trigger than the other guy.
 
Yeah that Thorn bounty is next to impossible. I have it too but I’m tired of trying and not making any progress. By comparison the one with the shotgun was super easy. I think I have a better chance of getting a drop for an exotic hand cannon than completing this thing.
I’ll be online for some weekly strikes or to finish the raid if you guys want in about 18:00-18:30 BST.

I'm assuming it's the Moon one? If it is, clear out the room before the one with the runes and then use the corridor to cheese everyone. Don't die because then the previous room will fill up again, and bear in mind that wizards will enter the corridor so use the very end of it for cover. Obviously make sure you have a good long range solar weapon (shotguns are no good). Then when you get to the boss, take cover in the rooms before his room and chip away at his health, but be aware that wizards, knights and a shrieker will spawn periodically (then disappear shortly after) as an anti-camping measure so take cover and wait for them to leave. It might take a while but it's doable, I soloed the level 26 epic version for the Thorn bounty this way and I think @Terronium-12 said he soloed it when it was the nightfall before...? Or maybe just the weekly version, I don't know.
 
Anybody able to help me do the weekly heroic on my second character a 24 hunter?. I soloed it easily with my titan yesterday. I havnt done this weeks nightfall yet so if anyones up for it let me know. I have a full upgraded ice breaker that can help with the wizards and such. Getting past the 3 rune gate virtually guarantees success. Once you get to phogoth as Neema said just camp in the little room just before the big hall phogoth is chained up in. The shreeker will spawn every 10-15 secs so if you go up and light up phogoth for about 8-10 secs then run back to the room before the shreeker room the shreeker won't spawn. Ofcourse if the shreeker does spawn its not a big deal but its faster if it doesn't.

Nightfall, and that I did.

Another strategy in this regard is to clear out the enemies, unchain Phogoth, and make a run for the rock on the far left side and take cover behind that; the mobs won't bother you and you'll be able to pick off Phogoth with relative ease*.

*It may turn and walk away every now and again but don't worry about chasing after it.
 
The Nightfall was an odd experience, it was my first time trying one so I didnt know what I was jumping into. I'm level 28 with a stupid rare primary still, I have gotten legendary drops for literally everything else, besides a primary. My Fusion Rifle comes with double its ammo at the start so that was good for taking out knights, especially with it being Arc damage. What I had a hard time with was the Witches, but luckily my friend had his Solar sniper. Stupid me though! I forgot I had the Sunsinger subclass selected, and I forgot my grenades would work good to knock out the witches shield!

I definitely need a better weapon if I want to be of any help though. The perks on my Rare primary arent even good either so its lacking in all departments. I did manage level 28 last night, but it makes it all the more embarrassing considering my crap weapon. Although, I think today I'm going to grind the hell out of Vanguard strikes.. I'm about 37 points away from purchasing my own Legendary.

I've just seen that Xûr is selling the Suros Regime this week-end. Is this rifle good? I need something better than my Shadow Price and, above all, I want to replace that horrible Bad Juju (I hate pulse rifles).

Joined my friend yesterday for about 45 minutes to do an event and a strike. While I was heading over toward my friend I learned something very valuable. I guess the legendary sparrow will kill friends. :O:lol:
 
So me and a friend did the weekly heroic strike it was easier than I thought and got 10 vanguard marks along with 400 reputation :).

I spent all day grinding to level 27. The Vault of Glass looks hard. For anyone who has done it should I max out to 30 to be prepared? I'm a Titan by the way

Have you done The weekly heroic? If so have you got a second character to do it with?

@priesty_lfc preferebly sooner as ima few away fromgetting the suros.
 
Only way is if you haven't done the weekly strike. On level 28 you can earn 9.

Yeah, I'm a warlock Sunsinger, and I had my Arc Fusion Rifle So it was a good mix, but we definitely needed a third person. I just hate that when you die the enemy doesnt leave your corpse alone so it makes it hard to revive, especially when it was only me and my friend :lol: we got sent back to orbit twice, by the time I was fed up and just got off.

I just wanted a quick easy relaxed game last night instead, I just got a night full of frustration :lol:

You will. Its labeled on the rewards for the level 28 strike. I am going to do it today, most likely with the same friend, so if you are on and havent dont it yet I will invite you.

However, if you have already done it on a lower difficulty, I think it subtracts what you already earned? Someone help me out here.
