Correction to 3 - RNG has nothing to do with it. Xur's inventory isn't random.

It's controlled by Bungie. What in the fresh hell? :odd:
 
Maybe they don't want make a lot of the exotics available from Xur to preserve the rarity of rest of them.

Also, had dinner and all ready for the raid.

I'm not so sure its controlled week by week, but more rather just set for weeks and weeks and weeks ahead, looping endlessly as it reaches the end of the stock he has available.

I saw a glitch of someone switching the ddates on their PS4, and it switched up his stock. Now I dont know how real this glitch is, but thats what I saw.

Either way makes no sense. You can remove legitimate strategies from the raid, citing the nonsense "it isn't the way we want it played" and yet they hosted a stream yesterday for a tutorial on the VoG, but this is a problem?

Now if you don't want to saturate the player base... too bad, that problem already exists considering every single non-exotic weapon looks exactly the same, save for a skin.
 
@ImaRobot the glitch with Xur works in as much as it shows you what he had in past weeks, but you can't buy anything.

I'm waiting on an exotic Helmet but I'm going to be waiting a long while I think.

I also officially suck at this game. Did the Weekly on 28 and I pretty much acted like cannon fodder, along with getting booted. Then to make things worse today I've done the public events and everytime I got ascendant energy and no shards, the to rub in the bad luck I got my official first Legenday engram drop in Patrol and I was jumping for joy...

This was short lived as the Cryptard gave me more ascendant energy for it!!! This game hates me.

I have a different friend, Black Label, willing to do it if we have 5. He's quiet and not obnoxious at all.:sly: I'm willing and able to do a run both today and tomorrow if people want.

This is the first time I'm really feeling frustrated by the game and it's loot system. I feel like week after week I look forward to the reset with the hopes good items from the Nightfall and Raid. Tuesday comes and then I disappointed with the returns. So then then I look forward to Xur coming and more disappointment when he finally does. Now I look forward to Tuesday again and the cycle repeats itself.

I can't believe that reaching level 30 is tied to a loot system so seemingly random but also divided between normal and hard raid to get a complete set. It's possible I could continue doing raids until the DLC comes out and not receive the piece I need for 30. There needs to be another way to obtain armor that holds 30 light. Make it purchaseable with Xur at the cost of 40 coins or something expensive. That way it wouldn't be easy but I would also know if I don't get it by a certain date through the raid I can just obtain it that way. It's the weekly hope and disappointment that gets to me right now.
 
I neglected to mention this when you originally brought that topic up, but when the Iron Banner comes back you'll be able to purchase armor that maxes out at 30 light.

But you'll need to be Lv. 5. If you've played in the previous IB then all of your progress will not be reset.

I think we aren't doing it tonight. Brock and Sancho aren't on and Black and I are watching a twitch stream of a clan dominate hard mode for strategies.

You don't need to do the hard mode to get to lvl 30, you need to do that to get the full set, I'm lvl 30 and I've not touched hard.

I have exotic helmet picked up from Xur, and raid arms/chest/legs all from normal mode,.

It is luck tho so maybe you should be able to buy it, perhaps using your character materials (hunter has sapphire wire) as you get s**t loads from breaking greens down without ever actually using it (upgrading gear only uses small amounts) so 750 sapphire wire bits a lvl30 armour piece?
 
Completed my first VoG tonight with an awesome group of people from /r/fireteams on Reddit. Got myself a sexy cloak, chatterwhite, lots of shards, and the Vision of Confluence :D. Not bad for a first run.
 
Guys, are we ready to attempt to finish the raid in about an hour?
