I have done the raid now, got some good stuff including a sniper as well as chest and gauntlets

Only havent one asecendant shard left and still need about 40 odd to finish upgrading my new armour. :(

Did you want to do the daily today?

Best way to get shards is to buy them for Motes, or trash exotics that aren't being used and you don't plan to buff them.
 
Yeah hang on blitz let me just go to the tower. Can't talk though as my fiancé is working in the same room as me.

Maybe I'm missing something but how do you buy shards for motes?

Ah, thats where the confusion came from. He was talking about Ascendant shards, you where talking about Exotic Shards.
 
I've been buying the exotic helmet engram from Xur for 23 motes solely for the purpose of dismantling it for the exotic shard. Strange coins are a lot harder for me to get than motes.

Ya the last 2 weeks I've had a little over 50 motes every time Xur shows up so I buy 2.:lol:

I didn't even know they handed out spinmetal for that. That is the easiest of the 3 DLC missions to run especially with the top part completely protected.

What is the best way to upgrade Husk of the Pit. Just keep fighting thrall?

It's one weapon that I am constantly moving between characters, so it will definitely be used.

Anyone on PS4 with the DLC want to help me get out of my predicament? I took my level 27 hunter to the daily and I'm stuck and trapped in here as I am not strong enough but I don't want to leave until it's beaten.

The Lord high overseer T12 helped but thanks anyway, still need to do dailys with your second character @Blitz24 ?
 
I need to daily with all of them but I haven't done any yet. I'm getting off for an hour or two after I get these Hive major kills.

Best place to kill Hive kills for the Husk is Cosmodrome. Just make sure that the blow that kills them is the husk. I went from about 25% to complete in about 20 minutes.
