I think Matt got another one, I was too busy praising RNGesus to really notice. I also got Corrective Measure... but no Mythoclast.

We're going again tonight, so there's that.

Yeah. Got another pair of gauntlets and another Swordbreaker; I say another because I have it on the One.

Yeah, my understanding is that it's pretty useless right now.
It looks fantastic though. That and The Last Word are probably my two favorite guns from a purely aesthetic standpoint. TLW is actually pretty good though, and it's crazy fun to play with.

It's a bit of the opposite when @BAKEMISTER joins my fireteam. He literally has legendary stuff thrown at him, while I get nothing.

I've only just got the game (Limited edition £40). I really like it so far. Beware my lowly level 3ness.

Also can anyone recommend a site which has a good simple guide to the game and one which explains the termterminology of Destiny/these sort of games.

I have many noob questions like how are you supposed to manage bounties? Do I have to take them? The Tower is quite sprawling - what should I be doing first re bounties/missions etc? What are emblems?

I use this site to check exotic bounty steps, weapons specs, etc.

Basically for now just go with the story missions and do as much bounties as you can. Doing bounties gives you Vanguard reputation (and exp). You need level 2 to buy armor, and level 3 to buy weapons. Also there are Crucible and factions reputations, but they require Crucible marks. Don’t bother with them before getting to level 20 and Vanguard reputation level 3. Keep in mind that when you return finished bounties they give you exp for your char and your gear, so have whatever gear or subclass you want upgraded equipped, before cashing in the bounties.

Also don’t bother upgrading gear too much. Save you materials for purple (legendary) items and dismantle everything white, green or blue that does not work for you. The goal is to get to level 20 after that you level up by getting items with “light” stat on them.

If you have any questions just ask! ;)

Sorry @Clark, I couldn't deal with the 🤬 lag or whatever it is Crucible matches (and the rest of the game) constantly suffers from that delays damage or nullifies point-blank range kills.

Just done Crota on my Hunter, got the 4th Horseman. It's range is less than a melee attack, it has no bar showing on its stats! Truly awful!

So far this week on the exotic list I have gained,
Patience and Time (again), Armementiumentiumuimium (again), Vex Mythoclast (again), 4th Horseman and also Fatebringer (again) which is Exotic in all but colour. I just want the weapon whose name I wont mention.

For those that don't have one, Xur is selling Ice Breaker this weekend.
 
Is it worth buying a new spec Ice Breaker and dimatling my old 300 Damage spec one or waiting for him to have the upgrade available?
 
Depends on how many strange coins you have. If you have loads buy the new one. An upgrade costs nearly 8000 glimmer and a Exotic shard, then another nearly another 7000 glimmer to upgrade it to max. So it's either strange coins plus 7000 or 15000 and a shard.

Still leaves Gjallahorn and Faintbringer as my most wanted weapons yet to get.

How many coins does it cost? Guess it's worth getting 1 for each character?
