Do you guys think two 29's could complete the Nightfall? This mission is pretty easy.

Do you both have good arc weapons,
specifically Patience & Time plus a raid primary like Fatebringer or Praedyth's Timepiece? That will make it much more doable.

The first part hide to the far right of the room near the greenish tunnel once you deploy your ghost. It's easy to take cover there and revive safely. There is a tanker near the wall which allows safe sniping. It's also easy to revive there.

For the Walker stay back as far as possible and snipe. Be careful to take out Vandal snipers as they probably one hit a 29.

For Sepiks Prime I recommend going left into the room once you enter the encounter. Take the stairs down and if a two man team one of you go to the opening against the metal frame and snipe Sepiks and drop back as needed. The other should be at base of stairs to be safe and you two can switch as needed.
 
Just realised got the vex from VoG, same stats as before, with Bungie saying the exotics are now upgrading I was hoping thstbwiukd have too, sadly not!

And yes, but Icebreaker!

I now have 2 Vision of Confluence, 2 Fatebringer, 2 Vex Mythoclast, 2 Patience and Time, 3 Ice Breakers, 3 Dragons Breath. It makes thiungs a lot easier as I dont need to swap things around too much now. Just need one more to make things complete...

The Vex as it is is already too powerful. I'm not surprised that it wasn't tinkered with.

Shoot, I want to know where it drops in the raid. In all of my attempts I've never seen one dropped.

It only drops on Oracle's or Templar on hard mode.
 
Did the Nightfall and VoG normal with some people from Reddit today. Got a 30 light piece of raid chest armor, lol.

Could be worse. 2 of the 3 times I did the hard VoG I got no weapons and merely a ship and a Sparrow.

The Vex shouldn't be messed with except to improve attack power. Yes, it's good in PvP but by no means completely dominant and in PvE it's extremely underwhelming. Bungie already nerfed it too much. This could lead to a whole another discussion on why Bungie should modify guns stats for PvP and PvE separately but I won't go into that now. Basically, in my opinion, it should be more than a trophy gun which is what it is right now.

Necrochasm is going to replace it in the trophy gun category. There will be another Vex raid, and a Cabal raid over the next year or so. It's possible the Vex will be buffed/replaced altogether when those raids come out.

I don't think the Nechrochasm is going to be nearly as dominant as the Vex. Max rate of fire weapons tend to be pretty poor in game, which very few exceptions.

I got the ship, but I didn't realize it until a day later. It didn't show up on the rewards page. It was when I was looking through the bottom page of my inventory that I noticed that I got my first legendary ship. I'm still going to continue using my Aurora Lance though, because it looks better.

I also got a new Up For Anything drop for me. It has the Range Lens RLS3 (my favorite scope) instead of the Focus Lens FLS2 that the vendor version comes with, and it has Field Scout (56 rounds per mag) and Third Eye. I'd say this is very close to if not the perfect roll.

Those Voidfang Vestments I said I was waiting for Xur to sell. Those ones that I was reluctant to spend my strange coins on the Icebreaker to save up for. I just got it from a freakin' legendary engram! It's a 30 light, so I'll have to upgrade it, but I'm still incredibly stoked. This totally makes up for not getting anything particularly good from VOG.

It's funny, because right when I was going to decrypt the engram I thought, wouldn't it be funny if I got the Voidfang Vestments?

Nice, personally I'd still by the one from Xur if it comes upfirst , buying the upgrade and upgrading it is going to cost loads.

If you have the glimmer I guess it's not so bad but I'd rather spend the 7k for the upgrade on icebreaker upgrades
 
I did not expect to enjoy the Iron Banner 4 too much to be honest, but ended up playing a lot of games in it last week. So much that I regret not trying to level up the reputation. Did a few games just to try my luck with the drops, but got addicted, mainly because I fell in love with the Thorn. Ended up making 426 kills (according to the mobile app) 90% of those with the Thorn and I suck at aiming and PvP in general. Got absolutely nothing as drop though.

A few missions in and I'm beginning to have half a clue what everyone is talking about now :)

Really great game, slightly silly words. I have spent more time reading guides than playing.

Haha.

There is alot to take it but you'll pick it up on here asking questions and just generally playing.

Game improves with the higher ranking you get too, something to bare in mind is keep any legendary/exotic armor you pick up even if it's for a different class as if you start a different character it helps massively!

I was thinking the same. If Xur offers the Voidfang Vestments for sale and upgrade at the same time, I'd buy it and shard the one I got. But if the upgrade comes before he sells it again, I'd just upgrade it. I have tons of glimmer in the form of hundreds of stored up silken codexes/house banners/axiomatic beads/network keys.

Well I decided to participate in a bit of Iron Banner over the weekend to see if I could get to level 4, so I could purchase the level 36 gauntlets for my Titan. I must admit I'm pretty bad in the Crucible, but nonetheless I went in the hope I could achieve my objective. I equipped the IB emblem and Titan class item that would speed up my levelling progression. Also purchased the 12 hour buff that helped me to reach level 4 by Sunday night and was able to purchase the gauntlets. Yesterday with the aid of my clan members from The Last Guardians, I reached level 5 and purchased the hand canon Timurs Lash. I reforged the weapon around 6 times for 12 motes of light to end up with perks, Spray and Play, that increases reload speed, when mag is empty, Field Scout that increases magazine from 7 to 13 and Crowd Control, extra 15% damage for 3 secs after a kill. This weapon has the highest impact in the game for Hand Cannons, stability is rather low.
