I'm debating just buying one and rotating and keeping the coins for the helmets that are there. I need Glasshouse and Obsidian.

I'm only getting one IB. Rather have the open space anyways. I'm going to purchase the two helmets I need because they are more valuable than a duplicate sniper.
 
Well I have like 150+ coins but rotating weapons annoys me!

If he has 3 character's like me it's really easy to stockpile lots of coins. One of my friends has 194 right now.:scared:
 
Almost as easy as motes. Except motes have 0 value with no engrams. I bought obsidian glasshouse and the 2nd icebreaker. Obsidian is perfect for a voidwalker.
 
Other than Achliophage Symbiote and no engram I'm impressed by Xur's wares this week. He's finally selling the upgrade for Skull of Dire Ahamkara as well.

I need to upgrade my Light Nemesis but of course, I can't do so until I max it, and I have no way of maxing it with a shortage of essence.

I don't think item's have to be maxed before you upgrade them but I could be wrong.:scared:

Thank you. Then I can upgrade LBN. Just need 2k glimmer to farm. Shouldn't take long as there is nothing else for me to buy until I get it.
 
I think I'm going to pass on the Icebreaker. I have 19 strange coins, but I'm waiting for Voidfang Vestments, and if that shows up next week I don't know if I can make 11 strange coins in a week. I also just got dropped a solar LDR 5001 that I love. If I get an Icebreaker, it would pretty much mean that I'll never use my LDR again. Also, I wouldn't be able to use the Icebreaker and my Gjallarhorn at the same time anyway.
 
I have one Icebreaker and will definitely be buying two so I don't have to keep putting the one I have in the vault when changing characters. I would say it is probably the best exotic weapon for PVE. The auto regenerating ammunition maybe slow but it's definately adds to the value of this weapon. If you haven't got one I would recommend purchasing it and if you have more than one character, then buy one for each character if you can afford it. This is only the second time it has been on sale and who knows when Xur will sell it again!

Ice Breaker is definitely worth spending the coins on. Personally, I would buy the second best gun in the game after Gjallarhorn rather than hope something gets sold in the future. If next week comes and Voidfang isn't sold then you don't have Ice Breaker or Voidfang. I know you have Gjallarhorn but there will be situations where you will wish you had IB. The recharging ammo is awesome and the damage per shot is awesome, especially on bosses. I have the LDR and honestly, I would never equip it again now that I have both IB and Black Hammer.

If I complete the Nightfall, do I automatically receive the rewards for the level 24 weekly? I have actually never done either before.

Weekly and Nightfall have different reward settings.

Strange coins are not necessarily given out as a reward for completing the weekly nightfall. If you did the weekly heroic on the hardest difficulty level you will get 9 or more strange coins. Some may say receiving strange coins after completing nightfall is not particularly rewarding, but this will depend on how many strange coins you have. Feel free to add me bonio71 and I will try and help, I'm sure a few of the other guys in the thread would be willing to help.

I assume you're talking about the weekly 24-30 strike? If so, then no, you have to do that one separately.
 
Yeah, I just looked it up. I'd be guaranteed 9 strange coins for doing the Weekly Heroic on highest level. I'd like to do that to get 9 strange coins. If a couple people here wouldn't mind helping me out with that that would be great. If you wouldn't mind doing the Nightfall with me either, I'd appreciate that as well. Although being level 29, I don't know if it's even particularly doable. I'd just like to replenish my strange coins back to 13 so I have enough for the Voidfang Vestments in case it shows up next week.

If both of you are well at covering fire, then yes. But odds are... no. You do less damage, you take more damage. If you get caught out in the open, you will be killed instantly because of Lightswitch and Arc Burn. For this mission, you CANNOT use Hand Cannon (unless you have range on it) and Shotgun. Most of the enemies in the mission (most Vandals, Dregs, Captains, Shanks, Wizards and the Devil Walker) do Arc Damage or melee damage. The only ones that don't, oddly, are the Acolytes (not many appear), the Captain at the end of the refinery 3 waves (his shrapnel launcher does LESS damage than stealth vandals) and Sepiks himself.
