Did the limit on maximum credits change?

I always thought there was a maximum credit limit or 100,000,000. But I just got time trial bonus and now I’m well over that limit. Has this changed or will I somehow lose these half million credits at some point?

Oh so that’s interesting. I’ve never paid for credits but I vaguely recall that I got some free ones when I purchased the game. That must be the 5m.

I sold a load of cars recently to get some other ones and it goes a certain amount over, once I tried to sell another a warning came up saying you can’t store more, it does tell you to just buy some duplicates and expensive ones which hold their value

It’s amazing how disinterested I got with making money once I had over 100m 😂

The only amount it goes over 100,000,000cr is by the amount of paid credits you have.

An awful lot of people have credits remaining from pre-orders and the 25AE - and, more recently, the Power Pack - because paid credits aren't spent until "free" (ones you earn) are exhausted and most people haven't got anywhere near 0cr.

You can check your balance of each with the wallet icon, and it's telling how minor and unobtrusive a feature this is that people don't know the whole free/paid credits thing - while others still insist GT7 is forcing MTX on you.


As a reminder, 100,000,000cr is the cap on credits you earn. There is no cap on credits you buy. The total shown comprises both.
