And how is it that you don't have a quality post badge yet?
Doug isn't exactly loved for some of his opinions...
... or perhaps more specifically, how he has chosen to express his opinions in the past...

At this point, considering everything that has happened in the past, I think Doug is just happy to be invited back and even keep his premium membership, and most importantly, know that despite everything he has done, there are many who can still appreciate what he has to offer the GTP community. 👍

Nice pics Doug!

Looks like a replica, but either way, its a great find!

And my favorite of the bunch.....

Not only an amazing car, a great color for it, but I even love the way those wheels look in combination with everything else... including the custom yellow leather seats!
👍:)👍

Very nice photos.

Liked the Rangie limo and blue RR:tup:

I think it was Doug that posted a few pics of a tractor trailer that was carrying eight.... yes, eight different super cars! Including a Koenig, Ferrari F-40, F-50, Lambo Murc, Diablo, couple Zondas, and a Merc SLR McLaren that looked rather pedestrian considering the company it was in. :D

Those shots of the trailer may be my favorite I've seen in this thread so far. 👍

Actually... :)

My bad! It has been a while, so you have to give me some allowance for forgetting who posted it! :)

BTW: I made up for my mistake... ;)

Nothing special. But it was parked outside of an apartment in a part of town thats not exactly considered to be "rich"

and I always just assumed your user name refered to the original HSV GTS-R Casio just posted.

What is special about that GTS-R you posted over our Omega based HSV's?

i knew about the VS GTS-R,back a few years ago(6/7) a company called LSV based in the uk were the sole importers of HSV's into the UK and did their own GTS-R (kinda like the litchfield type 25) which was basicly a HSV GTS with a supercharger stuck on creating the GTS-R

Went into Philly for a school trip, I really should start carrying my camera out of my bag when ever I go any where.

Two different Viper Convertables, one on the way to and one on the way home.

Getting near the campus, a Flying Spur flew past.

And how is it that you don't have a quality post badge yet?

I'd guess it's due to all the less-than-quality posts.

Great set of Pics doug. The Range Rover limo was the most surprising TBH, I've only ever known American SUVs to be stretched.

Couldn't believe it when I saw it, although when I showed it to my Range Rover-owning roommate we were interested and Googled it to find that they're actually not deathly uncommon - several places have them for rent.

Nice pics Doug!

Thanks - I agree that the SS-100 looks like a fake (not that I've ever seen an original) but to be fair, the vehicle did have 'Historical Vehicle' plates, meaning if it were a replica, it'd have to be at least 25 years old - although that's entirely possible.

Veyron

I gave up on the dream list long ago, knowing I'd never spot some of the cars (McLaren F1) that would inevitably occupy it. Now I just keep a running list of stuff I just must see in order to consider myself good at this - after getting the GT2 and the Gallardo Spyder, high on my list is the Aston Vanquish, the new Viper coupe, and very importantly, the 599 GTB. Vehicles like the Enzo and Veyron are always in the back of my mind, but the chance I'll actually spot them is so minimal that I'm happy in those cases with my auto show sightings.

Here's something some of you will never see.

A cookie to whoever can guess just what model the Lamborghini is.

Hint: It's #4 of out 5 ever made.

Presumably, it's a Diablo VTTT - isn't that the car that was confiscated?

Correcto.

I never heard about a confiscation unless you mean when Platinum was shut down.

It was a very cool car to see, easily the rarest Lamborghini I've ever seen.

The owner was a very nice dude, too.

Also saw a GT2 as well at the event as well as some Hennesseys, an E30 M3, and a slew of Exiges.

To my knowledge, one Diablo VTTT was confiscated some time ago by the US government when raiding a business. I think it was seized along with the rest of their assets. I'm writing a paper; I'll check ILR when I'm finished.

EDIT - thanks for the photos of the vehicle.

No problem. I've got a few more including a picture of the LM002 and Nera from the dealership as well as Il Toro if any one remembers my 2005 Italian Car Festival photo of the car.

I thought the Superleggera would show, but the factory backed out, and won't arrive til' June. I suppose this site can wait til' June though, heh? I'll have some videos and more up soon.
Anyways, I'll leave you all off with, what is easily, one of my best shots I've ever taken.

348tb or 348gtb, depending on the year - 'Berlinetta' was only used on the 355, as far as the 308 and onwards vehicles go.

Unfortunately I didn't take a shot of the arse of the 348, but I could have sworn there was a 'Berlinetta' badge on the back (far right). However, I have been wrong about many things in the past and I think I must have been imagining it. I've seen the car around before so hopefully I'll get another chance to have a look.

Doug's right. The 348 only came in tb, gtb, ts speciale, or Challenge.

Very nice spot 👍, so where do they have the Turbochargers tucked? I can see they went with cheapo plastic bosch blow-off valves (yet adequate for low boost applications)

btw I just looked through the last 2 pages - great photos everyone!

Indeed 👍

I'm not actually too sure.

Anyway, I made a mistake. There are a max. 7 VTTTs so far as I just found the engine bay of #007.

Either way, it was still the rarest Lambo I've ever seen and will hopefully see again. This one is also the one on LamborghiniRegistry's site, but the pictures are from when it was for sale in 2001 from California.

He could be right too - it would definitely not be the first Ferrari whose owner altered the badge - by the way you forgot Spider, gts, and regular ts.

I thought the deal was the only five were made originally, then the owners converted two or three after the fact.

Not that it is worth a damn without pictures, but my car-spotting today was rather poor-quality. Presumably, you would think that with the outstanding weather we've been having people would be driving their spectacular automobiles, but alas, I've got nothing to show for it today.

However, I did spot a nicely customized Mustang this afternoon while on my way to work. It was heading down the road in the opposite direction than I (the same road that I've taken many recent photos on, models including the XL-7, 300ZX, 328ci, etc), so I was unable to have a reasonable amount of time to snap a photo.

Anyway, the deets: It clearly wasn't stock, but retained some of the standard qualities of the regular GT. From a distance, the white stripes on the dark-navy paint made it stand out, and the body kit made my first thoughts to drift towards the Cobra, but the fog-lights were an immediate sign that they were not. So, the only choice left was pretty much some kind of Roush Mustang, probably a Stage 2 or a Stage 3, as it certainly carried the sound you would expect.

Pretty boring day, but thats alright...

So here I was driving along when I spot something red and low in my rearview mirror, fast approaching. "Looks like a Fiat" I tell myself. I bust out my cell phone, hit the camera feature, and set myself to take a picture of it when it'll come by me... As it grows in my rearview mirror I realise it's not just any Ferrari, but it's indeed a rare-ass 512 Berlinetta Boxer, the Testarossa's ancestor.

And I totally missed the shot... and never was able to catch up to it. :( Which sucks, because that was a really cool sighting, even though everyone knows how I feel about prancing donkeys.

This is one of the few late '70s Ferraris that I really enjoy seeing... they always conjure up memories of all the cool sports car posters I had when I was in HS, and the one I had of a 512BB was a personal favorite. 👍

BTW: Those crazy guys at Evolution Studios designed one of the trucks in MotorStorm after a 512BB... first time I saw it I had to do a double take. :D

So would I be able to show my Gallardo Spyder picture although it was in a motor show well actually it wa sin the back stage paddock which looks just like a car park but you know. So would I be able to show it?
