Ha, I was focused on the Ferrari. They had 4 911's. The white one, a black Carrera 930, and 2 996 Carreras. They had a 1999 Blue 996 Carrera 6 speed for $30,000. My dad almost bought it on the spot. Shame he didnt.

Damn it!!! I was just about to come in here and say I saw a 599. in GERMANTOWN nonetheless. the most exciting thing I've ever seen in Germantown is a 996 or an AMG Merc. now I wish I had turned around and followed it to get a pic but I was already late for work :indiff: I heard something sounding almost like a sport bike and when I looked over there was a dark grey (for lack of a better description) 599 accelerating very slowly from a stop light.

Nope. I posted a grey 599 GTB in 'the wild' a couple of months back... =) The Scottish red one looks way better than the grey one I saw though.
 
...I've got a few (from the past two days)...

A rare find at least in Grand Rapids, maybe even nation-wide, a late-model Mercedes W210 E320 Wagon. I see it every time I go to the book store...

Shes a 300ZX, nothing too incredibly special, but you don't see them too-often around here. The guy was driving like a total douche-bag though, cutting in and out of traffic. I boxed him in at one point just to piss him off, it was funny (at least to me).

I have a knack for finding odd cars, and this one has to be one of the best I've seen in months, a Merkur Scorpio... They sold so horribly in the US it isn't even funny. I could probably count the times I've seen one on my left hand...

Okay, the image size sucks, but I was pretty far away from the car... Lotus Elan. Again, a pretty rare car...

I wouldn't call this a 'spot,' but I thought it was funny. I was filling up my gasoline at a station I don't frequent too often, basically off the main-road, and not even a 'mainstream' brand (not a BP, Amoco, Shell, etc...). Anyway, the screen kept using a classic Porsche to demonstrate how to operate the pump. Just thought it was odd...

Oh, and the first Tundra and Avenger were spotted on the road today. That would be the road, not the dealership, as they have apparently been there for some time...
 
210 wagon isn't quite as rare as the 124 but still nice (even though I dislike the 210) the Elan and the Scorpio are quite a spot though. how many models did Merkur ever sell here anyways?
EDIT: the gas station is funny because wouldn't you be filling from the front on a 911?
 
There is there is Merkur Scorpion around me, I see it from time to time, actually it might be the same one. I can't imagine there are are a ton in Michigan.
 
...I was beginning to think that this Merkur is the one that I see every once in a great while, but then I remembered that there is an XR4Ti around here somewhere too...

A few other hyper-rare import sedans are around in Grand Rapids, and I'll try to take pictures if I see them again. There is an old Rover 820 that I see every once in a great while (we had one for an extremely short period of time, no lie, but only for a week or so), and there is an old Alfa Romeo 164 that I see every once in a great while as well...

A friend of my Grandfather has had a crazy assortment of cars like these... I believe he had a Rover, Merkur, and one of the Alfas all at one point. He was telling me that he almost bought another Merkur again not too long ago... Hes weird...

true......if your looking at pictures but when you see a car like this in the metal,straight away you can tell if that cars a 599 or that cars a 612.its the same with mercs,alot of them have these amg bodykits and you usually wonder if its an amg or not,but when you see an amg merc you can tell straight away it is one.
 
I saw a red with black (maybe dark gray) stripes Detomaso Pantera today. It was the first time I have ever seen one.
 
The only big thing was a white Porsche 550 Spyder. It was like 9 AM, so I didn't think to bring a camera.
 
Driving thru Colorado Springs yesterday afternoon, I spied a Countach.
I was impressed until I saw that it was smoking more than my diesel...
One more fantasy out the window.

Well i was down in the city a couple weeks back (going to the motorshow of all places) when I saw it again, sitting there on the side of the road with a small crowd around it, so i decided to get decent pics for all u guys here. They're in 800x600 cuz they were too big for imageshack so if u want ne of em i mite b able to email em to ya. Enjoy guys!








Also, in the motorshow was this. I know its not really 'in the wild' but its a rare little car!

Wait. Isnt that Mclaren parked near the entrance to the Exibishion Centre? And I also went to MAS. But i didnt see that little Mazda. :nervous:

EDIT: It IS in front of the Exibishion Centre.
 
I was passed by a Porsche 356 coupe today. I was utterly surprised to see it out on the road on such a miserable day. Also it doesnt sound very special, just sounds like an original Beetle.

If you ever head around there or South Bank on a friday or saturday night, it's when all the AMGs, Bentleys, RRs and other very cool things (Stretched hummers) come out to play.

There a valet opposite the Famous club which is at One Queensbridge street, that is the place to be 👍

When I was in Melbourne a few years ago with a friend we went to some garage (workshop) and they had a identical blue Mazda Autozam AZ-1, the guy that owned it was nice so my friend and I attempted to get in. Being 6'3 I had no chance but my friend managed to squeeze in being 5'9 (or so).

Unusual colour probably the same one. I have seen a couple here but not in blue.
