I'm bores of the usual viper and Bette. Or the casual noob with a veyron. What are some others that are good? The rx7 is not to shabby

Most cars over 700 hp tuned can be good. You just have to know what your doing.

I can make a good general tune for almost any car. Specific tunes for vettes and vipes. The Nissan gtr I just don't know

I like the Subaru WRX STI or maybe even try the Ford Focus or Honda CR-Z. I'm totally with you on the whole Viper and Vette thing, I think drag racing is a complete joke in GT5 sadly.

I use the RS 6 Avant- Audi, For a station wagon it doesn't loose fairly often with my tune, but I usually only loose to the over used GTR, but it surprises people. The ZZII is pretty good, there is a lot of cars, most people don't use them though because they are too busy using the GTR. One really good drag car is the Fiat 500 ;) Through on a spoiler and a carbon hood, that thing can fly.

Meh, its a great change up from racing and thats my opinion.

Probably the least-used Viper in the game is the GTS-R Concept that was in the online dealership a while back. It peaks over 900 hp, sounds great with the racing exhaust, and looks amazing in black (the stripes stay). It doesn't even need the racing transmission (and associated annoying noise) to be fairly competetive (235mph in 5th gear at the end of the SSR7 tunnel is fairly normal)

The various 350Zs might be decent, but definitely not in the Vette/Viper/Enzo/GT/whatever league. Good luck finding a decent match for it.

The Countach LP400 and Acura DN-X do around 210 out the tunnel. The DN-X doesn't have transmission whine with the adjustable box, so I used that.

The Plymouth Superbird has pretty good power and sounds amazing (too bad the FC trans is so noisy), but the power drops off sharply in the very upper end of the RPM range so the gearing has to be done more carefully than on other cars.

The Chevrolet SSR has good power, but the stock 4spd transmission harms acceleration. The torque somewhat makes up for that.

The Eagle Talon is a surprisingly quick little car, but the turbo lag and somewhat-lacking power keep it around the same league as the 350Zs (just as a quick estimate).

Nissan GTR Concept (Tokyo Motor Show) always surprises people when I bring it out. I know, it's a GTR, but I leave the stock 7 speed automatic gearbox on it. Launches almost instantly with no wheelspin, 45/55 split and is good for around 210mph, so best left for the shorter stuff.

My favourite RWD of the moment is the Shelby Series 1. I've raced it against a practice ghost of one of my runs in the R34 and despite the lack of 4wd take-off, it's every bit as fast in a straight line.

A real shocker though is the 600+bhp FWD Dodge SRT4. With the right diff settings you can pull off some tyre smoking launches that still beat some of the other established runners.

(P.S. My ZZII is also at the same level of drag performance as the Audi Le Mans Quattro, which is also a monster when fully tuned)
