which is better for sim real life feel and gameplay. Or just get both since one has rallycross the other doesn’t.

WRC 8: Far more courses + varieties, official WRC cars, dynamic weather, more robust career mode.

Dirt Rally 2.0: Better graphics, more cars including classics, much realistic physics, 60 fps, post launch contents (though almost all of them are paid).

Codemasters games are not simulators, IMHO, but I'm not really getting my hopes up for WRC8 to be a sim either. Time will tell.

The last rally sim was Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, which I recommend if you haven't tried that one. 👍 It is head-and-shoulders more realistic than any other rally game I've played (unfortunately for this sub-genre, that doesn't exactly mean a lot in relation to circuit racing games). Hopefully THQ Nordic's recent acquisition of Milestone will enable the development of a sequel.
