Dirt road tyres

Need to complete the rally Special stages, got a suitable car - Celica, less than 245bhp - and bought some dirt tyres for it but how do I get the tires onto the car? In the Tuning shop I can't see how to change them?

Go garage->Tuning->Tyres.
When you buy them, they ask you, if they should put them on, so it could be that they already are on.

I had this problem too.

I bought a set of dirt and snow tyres in advance, but didn't have them fitter right away.

When I eventually went to do the rally it wouldn't let me, and I couldn't find how to fit them, so I had to buy them again and choose to fit them now.

Not entirely accurate. Aside from when you first buy them and install them, to switch them you cant just go to your garage and do it, it can only be done pre-race, which is really awesome.

No you didnt have to do that, they can be switched pre-race, which is really a terrible usability idea on PD's part. The truth is I should be able to go into ONE menu and switch whatever the hell I want on my car. But I guess the good UI designers were sick on the day they had to build this aspect of the game.

I'm having this same issue. I bought dirt and snow tires but chose to not install them. It said it went to my "items" or something, but now I can't find them to install them.

Oh.. duh. Go to the items button (to the left of your garage button) and you can install them from there.

Not only that after you finish the race you can take them off and use them on another car, this can be done for any part for any cay as long as the car can be fitted with said part.

Yep, My Items.

From the main GT Life Menu the My Items is just to the left of the Garage Icon, one of several icons on the left of the screen.

No idea why you have to go there from GT Life as opposed to from Tuning or any other Garage link, but there you go.

Thanks all, glad it wasn't just me. Now got a Celica ready to go for the Special Rally License!
