I am on GT5 and i keep on getting Disconnected from server message, sometimes a few seconds into the game, sometimes half way through this happens 9/10 times, Any ideas what could be wrong?? it was fine last week.
Yes, but there are ways to go around this. PS button - turn off game/system, pull the power cord etc.
I don't think that the host quit that many times tho, not 9/10.
If i wanna quit a race i just park the car somewhere i wont interferce.

With the new update, the only connection errors I have been getting is when connecting to the host. And even then not very often. Ingame disconnects are something I haven't seen since the last update. How are you connected to the internet?
I am using a wireless router, and i also have 2 computers running of it and the playstation, but it was working fine with the same setup last week, i can get an error message something like this 60.00000000
i have the same wireless setup,if i am downloading heavily on the pc,and also having several sites open,and try to go online with gt5p,it will cause the game to be laggy and stuff....i will go off the wireless thing soon as it allows much faster transfers between ps3 and router when using a cable......
I do encounter that problem but 1 out of ~40 races, and you can leave the race if you're the host without turning off your PS3 or unplugging it, juste press PS button, then choose 'leave game', select yes andyour done
The last few days it happened some times, mostly during a race.
The annoying part is that when you finally got to a first position the race disconnect.
Funny is that prior to this some or most racers park their cars in the grass . Or one host is punted into the wall and gets back on the track in last position.
I don't mind when people wants to race together, but it is very annoying if they disconnect when still racing.
i was going to ask as ive just been dissconected and the message ime getting is " Connection with Playstion Network has been suspended, please try again later"
ive been trying for the past hour and keep getting the same message, any ideas anyone.
I was playing MGO, and the news said that the playstation network is undergoing maintenance at 4pm GMT, If you were signed in before it went down (like me) then you stay logged in, if not you get that code.

Today I was at Suzuka 750PP pro and thought, well wait until the 15min and see if I can race against some GTP members. So done that and hey, finally more then a few GTPers in the starting grid.
But then again the famous disconnect message, so no race and a lot of frustration.
And to top it off, the view freezes and the PS3 hangs itself.
Lots of disconnects for me tonight also froze on the grid a few times, it even tried to put two cars in one grid slot at the start of one race... never had any problems before today .
I see an occasional disconnect, not enough to worry about. But Sunday I was racing Daytona and I had just got clipped and spun through the grass when all of a sudden I saw cars flying through the air. I mean like airplanes. I looked at the map and cars were going in all directions. Then the disconnect message. I just thought it was really funny.
