also Yayyyyyy Incredibles 2

Basically a spy movie with some racing in the background

I love how everyone's jumping for joy at the prospect of an long-overdue and deserved Incredibles sequel that Brad Bird's finally ready to pen, while simultaneously lamenting yet another money-spinning Cars flick. All of which is understandable.

I don't understand all the hate that Cars 2 gets. Sure, it wasn't quite up to snuff for Pixar, but considering what "up to snuff" means for Pixar... I think that can be forgiven. It was still a damn fun movie.

That being said, I'm much more excited to hear there's an Incredibles 2 in the works. The first one is still my favorite Pixar movie today.

I like it, but I would have liked it more had they focused on Lightning in the Piston Cup instead of adding another racing series

Really???

Incredibles 2??? Cars 3????

Seriously... They need to come up with something new...

There has been rumors about Cars 3 since 2013 so I'm not shocked they are making it, apparently it will take place on Routes 66 and 99. I'm very surprised and happy they are making another Incredibles though, I really hope they expand it and include more of the heroes that are in hiding.

Both Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur will be coming out next year.

I was disappointed by Cars 2. It lacked the theme that the original had. The revival of Route 66 and bringing a ghost town back life. It showed that the life of days gone by can still place its mark in modern society.

Cars 2 seemed to have a theme about how cars that are deemed ugly by the majority like the Pinto and Pacer still have appeal to others who don't appreciate their criticism. The problem is this theme is overshadowed by the James Bond style they were trying to get and the fact that they made the ugly cars the antagonists. Cars 2 was an ok movie but it could have been so much more with a solid theme.

If they make Cars 3, it needs to go back to its roots.

With the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory, Pixar seem to be doing sequels a lot lately....

It was fun in the sense that Turbo was fun, or any one of a dozen animated Mater shorts... mots of which were actually better scripted.

That was the problem with Cars 2. If you were following the Cars universe and the shorts released between the movies, Cars 2 felt like a "Mater's Tall Tales" short stretched out into a feature-length movie. While it did have some heart, and the backgrounds and sets were lush and lovely, I had issues with how little of that rich world they were able to explore given the globe-spanning storyline.

Plus, there's the level of suspension of disbelief required for the movie. Cars 1 felt like a living breathing world that just happened to be populated by anthropomorphic cars instead of people. Cars 2 felt a bit like a mega-sized Hot Wheels playset.

We'll see what they have coming for Cars 3. After 2, they have nowhere to go but up.

Incredibles 2 is something I've been hoping will happen for a while. Cars 3...not so much.

I'm on the fence about a Finding Nemo sequel though. The first one closed off very nicely, and unless Dory grabs the idiot ball and gets lost somewhere, they're going to have issues making a meaningful conflict.

Probably the reasoning that saw them come out with Planes - Cars, but up.

And that wasn't "up", even compared to Cars 2.

On that note, I hope they do more stuff like Up. Just a good family movie, no gimmicks.

The First fifteen to twenty minutes of "Up" were some of the most perfect ones ever animated, anywhere.

Planes, I didn't think it would be worth the watch. Perhaps sometime I'll track a copy down, but I don't even feel like paying full DVD price for that one. As for Cars 3... the trailer might help convince me, but probably not.

Incredibles 2, I would be willing to put up with movie theater lines, insane ticket prices, terrible theater food, and the inevitable headache of dragging the kids into the theater and trying to keep them calm, just to watch it on the big screen.

Planes is okay, Up is amazing. Incredibles 2 I am definately going to the cinema. Cars 3, probably wait for BluRay with that one. I loved Cars, but the sequel left much to be desired.

I'd rather see them put some Work into a sequel to Frozen. That movie was too brilliant to not have a second installment. Although less songs would be preferable.

Personally, I think that sequels to Princess movies, if they exist for the movie, would be mediocre and for money. Don't listen to my opinion on the matter, though, I've never watched a sequel to a Disney princess movie and have barely watched any anyway(does Star Wars count?). I've heard that Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time was actually pretty good. I actually much prefer Dreamworks to Pixar(I absolutely hate WALL-E beyond words), and don't really over like Disney much. So I don't plan on seeing either Cars 3 or Incredibles 2.

Well, Frozen really isn't your typical princess movie. Far from it. There's a ton left to do with the characters, and a lot of room for expanding both the world and story of the first.

I rather loved Wall-E, but I don't see what you could do with a sequel. Cars has always been rather mediocre in my opinion. The Incredibles deserve praise for having a lot of humor directly targeted on adults. Will definately see the sequel to that.

I'm really excited for The Incredibles 2, been waiting for the sequel for a long time. As for Cars 3 well the movie should go back to its roots. Less James Bond stuff and more racing!

Cars 2 was terrible, what a fall from grace from the first one... I don't see what other mileage they can get out of the franchise (pardon the pun!). Never really liked the Incredibles for some reason.

Tangled I feel was the best recent Disney film, was really really good and I don't understand the over praise for Frozen which is like a rehash but in snow. Even Frozen's song sucked compared to "I See The Light" which really should have one the Oscar.

I couldn't get past the Hannah Montana-esque soundtrack for Tangled, personally. Frozen was pretty enjoyable, and I really liked Wall-E.

See, I actually liked Wreck-it Ralph better. No romance at all. (Can it be called bro-mance when one bro isn't... well... a bro?)

Of course, Wall-E and The Incredibles stand above all of those as excellent examples of pitch perfect scripting, pacing and storytelling. While I liked Frozen, I felt that the pacing was majorly off.

My favourite has to be Toy Story. I just grew up at the right time to be one of the people the last movie really tailored itself towards.

I do have to admit that I loved the first cars movie, the story line was awesome, and it really was good. The second one...Was..Hm, good, I guess. It had a good idea to it, but it was a bit 'meh'. I really don't want them to ruin it with another one. But, maybe they'll out do it?

There was a time when it was Pixar vs Ghibli for the title of best animation studio in the world, and for a time I felt Pixar actually managed to succeed in taking that lead. Now, although both can no longer be said to maintain the giddy highs they have both experienced, Ghibli are merely not quite as brilliant as they once were, while Pixar have completely fallen from grace. I have little confidence in either of these films, to be honest, but The Incredibles 2 has a lot of potential, so I shall still probably go see that.

I'd now say that the battle for best animation studio in the world was between SHAFT, Frederator, and Disney; although for how long any of those three can maintain said position is debatable. (I probably should have mentioned Madhouse there, but nobody actually notices that something is made by Madhouse, such is their variation in style. Sylvain Chomet's stuff is great too, but a man does not make a studio.)

I can't wait to see the sequel of The Incredibles. The original was a very badass movie, I often watch it when I'm in an airplane just to kill some time off my flight. Cars 3? I hope it's good, because Cars 2 wasn't so good compared to the original. Cars 3 should benefit from all Pixar movie universes.
