Are you moderator? No, therefore, unless told officially I'll say whatever, wherever.
Well... it kinda is turning into a GT5 vs Forza debate so I would say no more. If not, then ok.

Don't like it? Don't read it.
I'm not even going to address the ridiculous statement about the game itself.
there is another thread out there where you can discuss turn 10 and their worthless game vis a vis GT5 to your heart's content. This is about GT5 and the new DLC pricing policies.
At this point the only one continually bringing it up is you.
Do it once more and you'll be reported.
For everyone complaining about the DLC price, check out Need for Speeds lately. 2.99 FOR A SINGLE CAR. We already have over 1000 cars to drive. Need for Speeds only have about 50? I am glad to pay 1$ a car.
Speaking of NFS and their prices - what's this nonsense about a $100 CCX add-on?![]()

Does a scale model come with the purchase of this DLC? Does it have 100% real-time accurate audio?
Does it come with anything remotely tangible?
You managed the impossible and were able to contradict yourself within 2 sentences!
- GT5 was complete
- They started completing (updating) it
- GT5 (like Forza) has DLC
- GT5 is selling the game in parts to make cheap money
Bravo!
GT5 was complete just like any other game out there. Updates was not necessary. This means they not only care that they sold the game but also they care about it and try to improve it with updates. Pretty awesome![]()
Really? I gotta tell you, I must not be as proficient at reading as I originally thought, because as I look at it right now, on the back of the GT5 cover art it states, as clear as day: "ADD-ON CONTENT". Which, to me, you know, says they were planning DLC from the get-go as well.GT5 DLC were not planned. They are going demand. I do not think DLC are too important. They should just keep updating the game and the whole team needs to works on GT6 instead. Since there is demand they are releasing some content.
Except it wasn't. It isn't now (features on the back of the box still not in the game and all that), and there isn't a single standard which makes it so it was when it came out. Because:Wrong.
GT5 was complete just like any other game out there.
It shipped complete? You mean, v1.00, which had absolutely no online portion included (that was included in the release-day v1.01 patch)? Ah.
Same can be said about any other game. The difference here is PD acknowledged it and they try to improve it with updates.
This is a moot point because GT5 isn't any different at this point, if it ever was.As far as DLC goes. Forza has DLC with in a month of release.
There's also the little factor of PD (or was it Kaz himself?) having stated that they were working on the HSV-010 and it wouldn't make it into the game before the launch date.

Really? Mine doesn't mention any such thing.
You could argue that all the updates are "add-on"; the 86 certainly is.
I don't think for a second PD were never planning to add extra stuff to the game, but paid for DLC wasn't certain at the beginning.
I believe that the "ADD-ON" content means the updates that we were getting. If it was "DLC", it would have clearly said it in back of the box.
Tell ya what, show up at your job and at the end of the month when your boss says "you've worked all month for nothing", let's see how you like it.
Really? Do gamers have such a skewed sense of finance that four bucks is enough to play the outraged gamer card? Are you kidding me? In what industrialized country do you come from that you sit around and say "If only I had four American dollars. Then I would live like a rich man!"?
Get real.

Really? So, on the day of release GT5 had multiplayer, leaderboards, lobbies/matchmaking, and friend invites?

Among other things.
Which Kaz admitted. And Kaz apologized for. And Kaz said he would fix. So stop beating this dead horse. Especially when you already said that you were wrong:
This is a moot point because GT5 was never any different. And even if it was, it isn't now.
I'm curious how many times it has to be said that that isn't the issue before people get that that isn't the issue.
Version name is meant for bug fixes, patch, not DLC.
One of these cars was confirmed by Kaz himself to have been nearly finished over a year ago. The apparently finished it just after the game went gold. The only difference is that PD held it back for a year and Turn 10 did not. There is a big difference between DLC released just a month after release and GT5 DLC.
The major difference. In most games they intentionally take the content from game to sell it seperately as DLC. This is not the case for GT5
