Honda's certainly don't suck. As a matter of fact Soichiro Honda is a true hero for me. The way he build up his cars in that time was just something out of this world.
But i hate people blowing up on their Honda as THe ****. That's clearly not so cool as they think it is. It only makes the reputation of Honda worser. And the one who does it evidently states himself to be a jerk and not a carfanatic. If you are a car fanatic (if yr a honda driver or not) you have respect for a whole bunch of cars imo.
Oh yeah Vtec is awesome and all but a lot of other manufactures have similar systems, just not that civilised as honda, but they are there. Fe the valvetronic technology that bmw is now using.
And the loud screaming engine that you hear in the car when pulling into Vtec is imo a trick to give you the feeling of having immense power under yr feet, while yr not having this stock.
Just to back up what i said above, my neighbour and one of my best friends has an integra Type-r with 223 hp (tuned mildly) and i drove several times with it. My conclusions are pretty much summerized in the above lines. I must add that i really like his car and was almost another guy who bought him one of those.
But i bought smth else. A BMW 320d.
And i love it, it's stock and has only 150 hp but i raced against my friend with the TEG and when i passed 200 KM/H I was gaining on him reall fast. (He was like 3 busses ahead i think), very cool race.
But i just wanna try to prove that honda isn't everything on earth.
