I just downloaded that SETI@Home program where your computer sorts radio waves form sapce. SO if I find radio interferrence, I can say"I found radio interference form space" even though thats a failure, thats the best anyone has done!

LOL, I'm not sure if SETI@Home is worth using system resources for. :p Good luck, though. :D

I get bored. I just figred that the current data i have will take a total of 11 1/2 hour to complete, going on how long it took for about 5%. I still have 85% system resouces, running the net, AOL IM, SETI@Home, and Mcaffe Shield all at the same time, so I'm not worried about that.

Speaking of resouces, i found out that i could upgarde my PC to 1.4Ghz Athlon T-bird(currently have 701Mhz Athlon(1?)), complete with motherboard with DDR, 266Mhz bus, 512K MB memory, for about 3-400 bucks! Cant beat THAT!

I put SETI on my network and had all 18 computers working on it 24-7 when systems were not in use. I did this for about 3 months and saw it as a futile effort and uninstalled it. Sorry E.T.

Pretty cool though isn't it?

It looked like SETI headquarters when I had em all running.

LoL

I can imagine!
18 computers.. daaamn

I used SETI for a bit.. but then went to this cancer research thing that I saw a link for on the net once.. they gave away prizes and stuff every month.. never won anything myself though.. damned p.o.s. atlon 600 :(

No it looks like one other person has your views. :)

I don't see how people could possibly think that we are alone. I just doubt that we, as a race, are doing anything of particular interest right now. Maybe a few visitations after we tested nuclear warheads, and perhaps after the moon landing.
All these people running around saying they were abducted, and how the aliens "probed" them should check out two books from the library. One is Basic Psychology, with extra attention paid to chapters that deal with the idea that the human mind sometimes fabricates it's own reality to cope with true reality. The second book is Deliverance.
Squeal like a pig!!!! Squeal!!!
