Do you have a clean savegame?

I don't trust myself not to stuff up the saving process and lose my game if I did this sort of thing...

Oh, and errr...the principle of the whole thing lol

No, in all seriousness, I've never had the desire to dupe. If I was to trade cars (I haven't yet)..I would be sending my car and getting back what I asked for, not keeping a copy for myself.

I have traded for some cars that won't show up in the UCD but the cars I send are not duplicates in any way, nor have I ever duplicated any cars, nor will I ever. One account for me only!

Overall, I would rate my save file as honest!

I have dupes, b-day glitch cars 30 chrome chips. and i've never paid for a car worth more than 2 mil. Having played every gran turismo, it's about time PD let you get something without grinding or buying a cheat disk. I am tired of creating email addresses for my new profiles

This poll is flawed because a "Clean Game Save" also means you don't quit into the XMB or turn off the system if you're losing a race in A-Spec or B-Spec (especially B-Spec because your driver's win/race ratio will actually show up - i.e. cheat to show that your driver has no losses).

My save is as dirty as they come.

Though my GT4 save was better, uber save will 11 gazillion dollars and all cars... Pity we cant do that in GT5 :(.

Technically it is not clean, except for this one X1 I duped to share with friends when they apparently "can't see it" when it's shared online. I know someones going to steal it sooner or later, so I know I'm covered when they do.

I don't understand these people that think grinding for money is some kind of achievement or makes them better than anybody else. I have a life so don't have time to sit there driving round in circles.

And you probably have a fraction of the cars they do, so good for you. Fact of the matter is we all payed the same amount to buy this game, therefore we get to play it the way we want to.

I'd say mine's clean...I don't dupe but I've done a couple trades and did use the birthday glitch once only because I got the game literally the day after my real birthday and still felt entitled to the free gift. Call it a bad rationalization or whatever...I figure it's a legit enough reason. And if I recall correctly, I got a crappy car out if anyways. :)

I had a 100% clean save before i got a level 25 in a-spec and completed all special events (except S. Vettel one obviously).
Then i've checked the cars i've got, checked a thread on gtplanet with the list of cars that i can get for doing b-spec and endurance events.
And thought that i don't want to spend 200+ hours of my time on oval just to get some really nice cars that i can't win even if i will do an uber boring b-spec mode.
So i've used a b-day glitch to get very many cars that i wanted and some random ones as well, as well as traded some cars for a carbon X1.

I do not see where it matters much. Personally I went to level 30 a spec and 35 bspec on one account and level 30 bspec level 26 a spec on a second account before I duped my first car. On Christmas eve I duped my X1s and sent 1 to my friends who did not have one for Christmas. I also ran one account up to 20 mil and used the backup to buy the 2 20 mil cars that I had not won and the 15 mil car then went on a shopping spree and depleted the money.

I have also duped a few of the hard to find UCD cars for my friends so we could run the same car in private online races. I do not see any of this as a big deal and I do not see where it could be unfair in an online race as I already had the fastest cars in the game before I duped anything at all.

btw those friends who I gave the X1 now have gotten thier own through game play I was just a little farther along than they were at the time.

Oh and yes I have 2 clean save games. I have only been collecting cars on one account.

I have duplicated colors by trading one car back and forth between my multiple previously-existing PSN accounts (I have one for each major region so I can enjoy the best of all PSN stores), but never cars. Nor have I birthday glitched (when my real birthday comes up, I'll accept it) or done any sort of dupe-trading.

I only have one car in my garage that I did not earn or trade for, which was gifted to me by a friend.

I have been running the seasonal events on my non-main accounts, though, and then gifting cars bought with those credits to my main account. Also, re-running licenses and events to re-win prize cars that I foolishly sold from my main account. Not being able to earn the prizes multiple times is BS.

I only cheated once with birthday glitch to get the 2J so I could progress, got it 1st try so that was enough for me.

I've only duped once, because I needed a car from the UCD and didn't have enough credits.
I try and keep my save relatively clean though.

I wasn't aware people cheated up until this thread. I'm clean btw. I bet the cheaters are ****** people that have a court date this week and some kids they don't know about.

Clean..damn right!!

Cheaters are slightly annoying..but they're doing themselves out of the experience of GT. To everyone that moans about grinding, I'm halfway through lvl27 and I've not 'ground' a race yet..I don't get it? Is it just impatience.?

I have 2 races left in the expert to complete, all of extreme & endurance, int' and advance Seb' Leob challenge & the grand tour. This should see me uptp lvl30 for the red-bull.

Mine is clean and i refuse to trade with anyone who i know to duplicate cars. It just feels wrong to cheat at GT.

All clean.

Prefer the old school method. Working hard for it, it just feels better. 👍

You know... At times, I don't get what people come up with in order to make their game and its statistic look better. And I don't get what that's supposed to be good for, either way.

Guess I just can't get my head around why it's so important to get everything right now and make the game look like you never lost, when you know yourself that's not the case.
Maybe it's that kind of mindset that leads to games being friggin' easy nowadays, as people just want to get that perfect record, whether it actually means anything or not.

Not saying that that's the case for the user I've quoted or anyone else in this thread specifically, it's just a random observation and thought.

Mine is completely clean. I've done a few trades (all before duping was possible) and that's about it. I've only backed up my save and I haven't restored it yet.

My saves clean. I don't cheat and I have never cheated on any game there's no point in playing the game if you cheat imo.

Haven't duped cars but birthday glitched my f330 and traded and reload save for cars over 1 mill.

There is too much grinding gt5 and with the amount of little annoying bugs I personally want to enjoy the game so getting free cars saves a lot of time. More time I can spend racing online or doing articles for the gt mag.

Enjoy the game, who cares if its hacked or not as long as you get enjoyment for your money and your not ruining anyone else's game.
